My theory about Rapmon is that he was simply addicted to smoking. In I Need U and in the prologue you can see him with a lollipop most of the time. The lollipop represents the cigarettes, so like someone loves the sweet taste of a lollipop, Rapmon loves the cigarettes. In the prologue you can see him writing "You need to survive" and I think that's not a message to Jin, it's more likely to be a message to himself cause he knows his body is so destroyed because of the cigarettes but he wants to survive for Jin cause he thinks Jin can't take more of his friends dying. The moment when he drops the cigarette is for me the moment he dies. At first I thought that he lit up the gas station but that doesn't make much sense to me so I think that maybe he dropped the cigarette cause his body turned lifeless. So basically the dropping cigarette is a symbol that the drug has destroyed him and he's basically "falling" like the cigarette.
yooooo did you catch all the inception references? - waking up from a dream/hallucination in the water? - the car falling into water when they played golf VS jin waking up in a car surrounded in water VS in inception, the car with the team of 7 (bts has 7 lol) falling into water also - the "kick" song from inception. this song is remixed and played at the end credits, and this is where jin returns to the reality where the boys are dead. this song in inception is used to wake people up from their dreams and to return to reality. if you watch inception, this part is creepy af. - Mal in inception wanting to jump off the building VS Taehyung jumping off the high structure???

My two cents : Taehyung was the first one to die by jumping into the sea (or drowing himslef in the bathtub from the teaser picture) after he killed his father (he was holding a polaroid of a child and a man who were looking like father and son) because he was beating his mother. Then, the others all killed themself (Jungkook let himself be beaten and crushed by a car, Jimin was burning the paper you can see in Taehyung teaser picture, before drowing himslef in the same bathtub as the one V was in the picture, Suga burn his motel room, J-hope druged himself and Namjoon exploded at the station) exept for Jin. The last one to die was Namjoon who wrote on the mirror "You need to survive" for Jin. Namjoon really took the picture of Jin at the gaz station, right before he died (and suga was already dead). The prologue is the memories Jin has of the time they spent together, of what happened, symbolized by the camera and the last scene at the sea is how he now sees taehyung death and how the others were all unable to stop him. Jin see Taehyung as a butterfly that had reborn in an other life, by escaping from the suffering in this one (butterflies can mean "TO REBORN"). love your interpretation but i kind of have something to add on, especially about jin being alive- my theory is that he too eventually joined the rest because of the flowers he layed down and when there were flowers projected on his chest, because there is this 'disease' (fake of course) which is called the hanahaki disease which causes the person to cough up petals and probably eventually die because the flower continues to grow in them

Also he delivers pizza to an apartment in 'for you'. In 'for you' Jin doesn't have a job, and doesn't do that much. This could link to 'I need you' as in it Jin isn't 'part' of anything he just mainly spends his time indoors.Also, in 'for you' everything is set by the sea, and that's where they go in 'I need you' and the prologue. Reading the theory blew my mind. I was always thinking about the scene where Jin is looking at the picture but his smile drops. But oh my god, my fragile little heart is crying this is just ughhhh
So going with the part where it talks about how Rapmon is "the limit between life and death" I instantly thought 'Doesn't that kind of mean he's in a coma?' Because in a coma you are like in the middle of dying and living. So in the "I Need U"MV when Rapmon dropped his lollipop which was actually a cigarette. The cigarette most likely blew up the gas station meaning everyone there would most likely have died but what if instead of dying he actually went into a coma. It would kind of make sense wouldn't it? He is able to pick up V from when he is laying down and talk to him while the others can't which goes with him being in the middle because he interacts with both groups, V and Jin (who are the ones who are alive) and the rest who have died. He also writes "You/We need to survive." That could easily mean, Jin and V(he didn't though) need to survive because he knows that he is never going to wake up from his coma and is going to die. Also at the part where V jumps and he is the only one not signaling him to jump or "come with them" could go with him saying that he needs to survive and is not encouraging him.That is MY theory but Idek.
Love the symbolism with the flower. It blooms as Jin's heart then it get torn (the petals) and he removes it from himself and sets it aside. As the others keep dying, the petals do the same thing as the members. Then there is only the illusion of a flower where his heart is. It makes perfect sense if each petal is a member and together they make up his heart. His distanced himself from them and they start dying until they're all ghosts.
i already got the rapmonster clue.. he is in the video of i need you girl at the gasstation eating his lolly. and the part where he drops it you actually dont see that he drops the lolly. but in the prologue u can see its a sigarette, what means that he set fire at the gasstation. and died..

I think jin is the only one who died. in the I need U video you see how they are so depressed they tried to kill themselves, but in "run mv" you see how they are still alive. J-hope who drugged himself is in the hospital with jimin. When the boys are walking away from the car and jungkook stops and stares, there's only 6 boys walking away. They're saying goodbye to Jin. maybe finally accepting the fact that he is dead. At the end V comes out of the water and you see how Jimin holds a picture and the only one who's not in the picture is Jin. Funfact: Jin in arabic means Ghost so.. idonno only counts as an extra argument why he is the only one dead.

Oh. My. Gosh. Ya know the part where it shows Jin looking through the camera at the butterfly, and then looks out of the camera and it's a paperbag, it just hit me. When Jin looks through the camera, he sees only what he wants to see i.e the butterfly; it's a way in which he can see a better world. Looking out of the camera shows the harsh reality of life, with the paperbag being tossed around in the wind.
Don't know if anyone had noticed or said this yet but there was resemblance with the start and ending of the prologue. Ending of the scene where they were all gathered at the abandoned like swimming pool, it showed a clip of V climbing the old diving bored and standing on it looking out just like he did in the ending. The others also had a similar reaction to this as they did at the end (but not exactly the same). This scene was then again almost repeated but in a different way at the end, as V actually took action and jumped. Don't know what it really means, either its just meant to be used as a similar start and end by linking back to one another through similar scenarios or it might really mean something. Don't know if anyone has any ideas on the matter.

i don't know english well...but you forgot about explaining about ending credit scene. that music means 'woke up from dream, back to reality'. it means v's suicide's not actual suicide. it means he decided to accept to the fact that he's just a murderer in real life. i think v looking at photo of his dad means "i missed all guys(he said that on the phone) and miss those times and i want to escape from the reality but my mind can't" and v going up to high place(middel of MV) means "i know that i have to accept my reality so i preparing for go back to reality....". sorry for my bad sentences.

Rapmon died after he dropped his lollipop dropped. The gas station blows up after he drops that. theres a scene where he was rapping (in I NEED U scene - Rapmon), the gas station was dark.. That shows us the clue how did he died..
But like op said in the theory, Rapmon was like "no, don't jump" giving us the clue that he might be stuck somehow. We don't know that he died, and we don't know that he's alive, but there is a chance that he is in a coma and that is why it went dark. Sorry, it's just a theory.

love your interpretation but i kind of have something to add on, especially about jin being alive- my theory is that he too eventually joined the rest because of the flowers he layed down and when there were flowers projected on his chest, because there is this 'disease' (fake of course) which is called the hanahaki disease which causes the person to cough up petals and probably eventually die because the flower continues to grow in them

Wow! This is basically what I thought just with loads more detail. Thank you so much for clearing everything up :). With Rap monster when he has a lollipop in his mouth in 'I need you' (as he doesn't and probably isn't allowed to smoke) the lollipop represents a cigarette. So when he drops the lollipop on the floor, you find out what it actually was the whole time (a cigarette) and the flames symbolize how the cigarette he had blew up the gas station he was working at. So in a sense, Rap monster actually committed suicide as well. His violent death could symbolize that he is stuck in limbo between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Also, I can't help but realise that this prologue and 'I need u' are alt universes to other BTS MV's. I read about it being an alt universe to Dope as:V kills someone, then he's a detective.Jin in the 'angel of death' or able to keep himself alive. Then he's a doctor. J-hope fainted on the highway, and now he's a racer.And Rap Monster forever stuck being a service officer? Gas station the bell boy.Though that isn't all, I realised that 'I need you' and this prologue is also a alt universe to BTS 'For you'! The titles are even similar! In both mv's the boys all have basically the same 'look' except 'for you' is a very bright look, and 'I need you' is very dark. Though there's still more:V has the same hair and look in both video's and has a lollipop in 'for you' to symbolize rap mon. Also 1, it makes sense he's working in a shop as he's not that old, and 2, the customer seems to be slightly rude to him which could lead to people knowing about his violent dad and so not wanting to converse politely with him.In 'for you' Jungkook is out in the open a lot, but in 'I need you' he seems to go out of his way to try and avoid people.J-hope works as a waiter in 'for you' and spills some food. Then in 'I need you' the way he dies is by eating something.Jimin works as a chef in 'for you', but drops a plate on the floor when trying to put it in the sink (sink = water), also the hand he drops it with is the one he holds up to his face in 'I need you' in the bath.Rap monster works in a gas station in both video's, and is clumsy and drops some rubbish on the floor when a person in their car chucks it at him. This could symbolise him dropping the lollipop in 'I need you' and why he wanted to blow up the gas station as everyone wasn't appreciating him.Suga is a pizza deliverer in 'for you' and in 'I need you' the apartment where he dies looks like it's in quite a seedy part of town with loads of neon lights, where a pizza restaurant could be. Also he delivers pizza to an apartment in 'for you'. In 'for you' Jin doesn't have a job, and doesn't do that much. This could link to 'I need you' as in it Jin isn't 'part' of anything he just mainly spends his time indoors.Also, in 'for you' everything is set by the sea, and that's where they go in 'I need you' and the prologue. Which leads me to believe even more that 'for you' is a happy/joyful version of 'I need you' which is filled with sorrow and hurt.Wow, big hit you have been planning to kill of BTS for a long time haven't you, and as they say..Everything's connected....

So going with the part where it talks about how Rapmon is "the limit between life and death" I instantly thought 'Doesn't that kind of mean he's in a coma?' Because in a coma you are like in the middle of dying and living. So in the "I Need U"MV when Rapmon dropped his lollipop which was actually a cigarette. The cigarette most likely blew up the gas station meaning everyone there would most likely have died but what if instead of dying he actually went into a coma. It would kind of make sense wouldn't it? He is able to pick up V from when he is laying down and talk to him while the others can't which goes with him being in the middle because he interacts with both groups, V and Jin (who are the ones who are alive) and the rest who have died. He also writes "You/We need to survive." That could easily mean, Jin and V(he didn't though) need to survive because he knows that he is never going to wake up from his coma and is going to die. Also at the part where V jumps and he is the only one not signaling him to jump or "come with them" could go with him saying that he needs to survive and is not encouraging him.That is MY theory but Idek.

Love the symbolism with the flower. It blooms as Jin's heart then it get torn (the petals) and he removes it from himself and sets it aside. As the others keep dying, the petals do the same thing as the members. Then there is only the illusion of a flower where his heart is. It makes perfect sense if each petal is a member and together they make up his heart. His distanced himself from them and they start dying until they're all ghosts.
i already got the rapmonster clue.. he is in the video of i need you girl at the gasstation eating his lolly. and the part where he drops it you actually dont see that he drops the lolly. but in the prologue u can see its a sigarette, what means that he set fire at the gasstation. and died..

I think jin is the only one who died. in the I need U video you see how they are so depressed they tried to kill themselves, but in "run mv" you see how they are still alive. J-hope who drugged himself is in the hospital with jimin. When the boys are walking away from the car and jungkook stops and stares, there's only 6 boys walking away. They're saying goodbye to Jin. maybe finally accepting the fact that he is dead. At the end V comes out of the water and you see how Jimin holds a picture and the only one who's not in the picture is Jin. Funfact: Jin in arabic means Ghost so.. idonno only counts as an extra argument why he is the only one dead.

I don't know if it's real or not and u said that too, it's just a theory. But,however it is.. omg I could connect to it so deep. My eyes turned so watery as if this thing was real. The explanation was on point. As I read my breathe felt so heavy and hard to swallow. It got me SO emotional. In love with these boys! ❤ and this story really reached to me. I wish nobody has gone through anything like that. It seems very....dispearing.

Ya know the part where it shows Jin looking through the camera at the butterfly, and then looks out of the camera and it's a paperbag, it just hit me. When Jin looks through the camera, he sees only what he wants to see i.e the butterfly; it's a way in which he can see a better world. Looking out of the camera shows the harsh reality of life, with the paperbag being tossed around in the wind.

Don't know if anyone had noticed or said this yet but there was resemblance with the start and ending of the prologue. Ending of the scene where they were all gathered at the abandoned like swimming pool, it showed a clip of V climbing the old diving bored and standing on it looking out just like he did in the ending. The others also had a similar reaction to this as they did at the end (but not exactly the same). This scene was then again almost repeated but in a different way at the end, as V actually took action and jumped. Don't know what it really means, either its just meant to be used as a similar start and end by linking back to one another through similar scenarios or it might really mean something. Don't know if anyone has any ideas on the matter.

what does that spell R.I.P now my theory is that in run jin got rejected by that girl in boy in luv and it was probably his first love and all that jazz so he got really depressed and the boys obviously knew so i think run would mean like run away from your problems try to escape them by running type thing because i heard that running clears your head so jin was SO depressed that he killed himself by putting some white lillies down and getting suffocated by the smell because they believe that in korea and burnt them so he could die quicker and after that happened thats when i need u comes in because thats when the boys get depressed and kill themselves aswell because they need jin or i need u as in this is from jins prospective like he needs that girl or something so thats why hes dressed in white the entire video so they all die except V he bottles it up and kills his dad/stepfather thats when the prologue comes in because i think that the rest of the members are ghosts and they know that V is gonna kill himself by jumping off that bridge but i also think jin is alive but ill get to that in a minute. anyway so V kills himself but he smiles at jin before jumping... why? because jin is peter pan and the rest are the 6 lost boys thats when they go to neverland because peter/jin obviously has to be alive so he can take children from their beds and bring them to neverland. but peter pan was originally a villain because he kidnaps little children from their beds and brings them to the after life, like their in a coma sorta thing and peter is also selfish and jin was selfish because when he died he didnt think of what his friends and family would think you also see alot of butterflies thats known as the butterfly affect and that means even doing the smallest thing can change EVERYTHING like jin killing himself he made the members do bad thingd and kill themselves too while jin watched over them because hes selfish and probably did it for his own entertainment thats why he filmed it. dayum... my theory is confusing but im pretty stupid so if i got it youll get it hah

i don't know english well...but you forgot about explaining about ending credit scene. that music means 'woke up from dream, back to reality'. it means v's suicide's not actual suicide. it means he decided to accept to the fact that he's just a murderer in real life. i think v looking at photo of his dad means "i missed all guys(he said that on the phone) and miss those times and i want to escape from the reality but my mind can't" and v going up to high place(middel of MV) means "i know that i have to accept my reality so i preparing for go back to reality....". sorry for my bad sentences.

I think that jin is in a mental hospital or something like that as he is in a white outfit and the room in i need u is simple and white. But like op said in the theory, Rapmon was like "no, don't jump" giving us the clue that he might be stuck somehow. We don't know that he died, and we don't know that he's alive, but there is a chance that he is in a coma and that is why it went dark. Sorry, it's just a theory.
