She is such an awesome lady. There is this positive energy she emits when she is in the room. She's got light. My love for her knows no bound. Thank you, Tiwa, for representing Nigeria and Africa on the global stage.
Truly, my African Queen, moreso great Ambassador of Nigeria 🎉!!! All hail the woman who comes out on top no matter what amount of dirts thrown at her, really proud of her
@danielallen2991 She didn't mean it the way you think , She is an astute student of the craft having studied music at Berklee College of Music. She served as backup to artists like Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli and Ms. Dynamite. So she knows what she is talking about , I will elucidate the full circle statement R&B is an offshoot of Jazz and Blues . Jazz itself uses tresillo's . Tresillo is the most basic duple-pulse rhythmic cell in Sub-Saharan African music traditions, So R&B , hip-hop , rock where all created by African Americans . Same way Reggaeton lends from Reggae and Reggae while created in Jamaica is heavily African influenced. Finally Afrobeat(s) itself lends heavily from Jazz, R&B, hip-hop, Dancehall, Reggae etc. If that is not full circled i don't know what is.
@danielallen2991 we as Nigerians 🇳🇬 🇳🇬 don't owe you any explanation. Afrobeats is strictly Nigerian and created by Nigerians alone . Go to hell with your nonsense feelings and opinions. We don't care
@danielallen2991 If Reggae, hip and RnB have nothing to do with Africa, please answer these questions. Where did the black people in the Caribbean and America (and their ancestors) originate from or were they indigenous or natives of those lands? Could they have taken their instruments, dance etc with them even though they lost their names and identity. If you know African/black history you wouldn’t have said what you said.

Exporting our cultures via music and other mediums will translate to more opportunities and respect for African people. Tiwa is a queen and I wish her nothing but the best.
