    A useful thought experiment:
You are a 1st century gentile convert to Christianity. Not one word of the NT has been written yet. Preachers arrive in your city and, by appealing to Scripture, tell you that you must be circumcised and keep the Law of Moses to be saved. Messangers from the Apostles arrive, saying that a council was held in Jerusalem, and it was determined that circumcision and the Law of Moses are not obligatory.
What are you going to believe?
The "Scripture alone" or the Apostles?

Not only that but as the saying goes, a picture's worth a thousand words. An image of Mary coddling the infant Jesus would have had a profound impact on a gentile convert.

The fact that we don't have original copies of any books of the Bible points to the idea that God never wanted to be constrained to a collection of books. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: and profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.”

Catholics don't follow "traditions of men," but DIVINE TRADITION.
Protestant dogma is religious and scriptural relativism, repeating the sin of Eve: deciding for oneself what's right and wrong, true and false, good and evil.
Protestants mistakenly assume Scripture is a comprehensive "do -it - yourself" manual for Christianity.
The Bible NEVER says and Jesus NEVER said "ALL true instruction to lead to eternal life is to be found in Holy Scripture." Where does the Bible say this?
What New Testament Bible did Peter preach from on the first Pentecost Sunday?
The first Gospel, Matthew's, would not be written for 15 years, and the last book would not be written for almost 70 years. Yet St. Stephen and countless others were martyred for the Faith BEFORE the New Testament was written down. They believed, lived and died for the ORAL New Testament, also known as "Divine Tradition."
DIVINE TRADITION IS THE ORAL WORD OF GOD JESUS TAUGHT HIS APOSTLES. IT'S NOT LESS THAN THE BIBLE. BOTH MAKE UP THE "DEPOSIT OF FAITH." PROTESTANTS THREW AWAY JESUS'S ORAL DIVINE TRADITION SO THEY *DO NOT HAVE THE FULL GOSPEL*
Deuteronomy 4:2 says: "You shall not add to the word of God, ... nor take away from it. " Protestants didn't just throw away Divine oral Tradition but also threw 7 books out of their Bibles.
Matthew 4:4 says, "Man does not live by bread alone but by *every word* that comes from the mouth of God." Protestants don't have EVERY WORD, only PART of the written Word, none of the Oral Word.
Remember, we're NOT Jews. The Holy Spirit guides the Church hierarchy, not the rabbis.
Jesus and His Apostles used and quoted the Septuagint Bible. Protestants use the rabbis' shorter Masoretic text that DID NOT EXIST until almost 100 years AFTER Jesus ascended into Heaven.
Remember what Jesus said *TO HIS APOSTLES* in John 16:12,13: "I HAVE MANY MORE THINGS TO SAY TO YOU, BUT YOU CANNOT BEAR THEM NOW. BUT WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH...."
Truth NOT written in the Bible.
The Catholic Church guards Jesus's oral teaching -- called, not tradition of men, but *Divine Tradition* -- which Jesus taught His Apostles, and which the Bible tells us to keep, in 2Thessalonians2:15, 1Corinthians11:2,
      2Timothy1:13,
      2Timothy2:2
      and Titus1:9.
Protestants threw away Jesus's oral teaching, violating: Deuteronomy 4:2, "You shall not add to the word.of God ... nor take away from it,"
Psalm 118:160 says, "The *SUM* of Thy Word is Truth" and Matthew 4:4 "Man does not live by bread alone but by *every word* that comes from the mouth of God.
Oral Word of God (Divine Tradition) + Written Word of God (Holy Scripture) = Full Gospel Truth
Holy DIVINE Traditions guarded by the Catholic Church are: the 7 Sacraments, especially the various rituals of Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the correct interpretation of Scripture, especially teachings on Mary's sinlessness, on the intecession of the saints and on Purgatory, use of holy water, relics, blessings, and other sacramentals.
These make up the Full Gospel. Only the Catholic Church HAS the Full Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jesus may say to protestants who DENY His oral Word of God, "Depart from Me. I never knew you."

    19:47 To me too.
You have done an excellent job of refuting sola scriptura.
Would you agree, if sth in Biblical history is apparently a plain reading and has also been taught by tradition (YEC, Geocentrism) just because there is a recent so to speak licence to interpret it otherwise, from the magisterium, does not make this licence trump the previous weight for the traditional doctrine, especially if further investigation shows the modern doctrine will logically involve things in conflict with traditional doctrine and _not_ covered by the licence or appearance of such.
E g the decision of 1820 does not explicitly allow for saying "the furthest stars are 13.8 billion light years away" and the decision of 1909 does not explicitly allow for extending Genesis 5 and 11 so that Adam lived 50 000 or 100 000 or 500 000 or 1 750 000 years ago, hence, should these positions come to be implied by Heliocentrism or Old Earth, the licences from 1820 and 1909 are no good argument against a full return to traditional doctrine?

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22‬:‭37‬-‭40‬ ‭
“For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭9‬-‭14‬
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭44‬-‭48‬ ‭
“And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: for all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.”

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬
“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
    ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭15‬-‭23‬ ‭
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: but God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.”

“And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”

“Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬-‭25‬
“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭14‬-‭19‬
“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.”

Great video. Sola scriptura makes the word of God into the word of men. Jesus gave the authority to interpret scripture to Peter then the other Apostles then to their successors. Jesus made no such promise to the protestants because they lack apostolic succession.
As St. Jerome put it, in his comments on the Epistle to the Galatians (speaking against the Luciferians) "Let us be persuaded that the gospel consists not in the words but in the sense. A wrong explanation turns the Word of God into the word of man, and, what is worse, into the word of the devil; for the devil himself could quote the text of Scripture; " and he did so when he tempted our Lord in the desert. How was Gods word delivered
Was it spoken by HIM and he compelled it to be written ?
    Is HE not able
To DO that simple of a thing and yet be Able
To create the world and all
    That is in it?
Do you not believe God has the power to do as he will in his own creation and have a Book put together of HIS word?
“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
    ‭‭Acts‬ ‭17‬:‭24‬-‭31‬
“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭31‬ ‭
If he also being outside of time and a prophet he sends his earthly mother to his youngest and Longest living disciple to have care and comfort..
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.”
    ‭‭1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭18‬, ‭23‬-‭24‬
“And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭3‬:‭33‬-‭35‬ ‭
“And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death: but ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free. And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother; making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye. And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand: there is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: all these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭7‬:‭9‬-‭15‬, ‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭
“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭25‬-‭31‬ ‭
“Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: and that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,”
    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭19‬-‭23‬ ‭
“Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; and if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: and the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.”

I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it?”
    ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭10‬-‭13‬ ‭
“Then Job answered the LORD, and said, I know that thou canst do every thing, And that no thought can be withholden from thee. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: But now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent In dust and ashes.”

As a protestant I'd say, sola scriptura means - everything you need for the kingdom is found in the Scripture. Everything should be consistent with Scripture and is often found grounded in the Scriptures.
Sola Scriptura does not preclude the authority of tradition or even culture at all.
If Sola Scriptura is said to mean this, this is false.
Also, brothers, anyone who says something cannot be true because of a mix of wise interpreters and false interpreters (people who do not agree) is dangerous when they say this

The first Gospel, Matthew's, would not be written for 15 years after Jesus ascended into Heaven, and the last book would not be written for almost 70 years. Yet St. Stephen and countless others were martyred for the Faith BEFORE any of the New Testament was written down.

Gate of heaven, east or west.
    John 10 :9 I(Jesus) am the Gate.
The Bible that was codified by the Catholic refutes all these names.

You are certainly welcome to believe and profess whatever you want to believe, there are plenty of different beliefs in the world. But to glean this from OUR book, the Bible, is just plain silly…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, - the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, - the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, - not only did they not agree but their individual lists of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time, growing in numbers of hundreds of “inspired” NT writings.
Therefore, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved it by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us who did? What did Christians do for the first 1500 yrs of Christianity until the bible was mass printed & even then, most people were illiterate until recent centuries. So for 90% of church history, people heard the bible read at Holy Mass & relied on Sacred Scripture which was handed down from the time of Jesus, St Paul 2 Thes 2:15. Don’t forget that not everything is in the bible Jn 21:25. All Sacred Tradition is not written in down in Sacred Scripture

The first Gospel, Matthew's, would not be written for 15 years after Jesus ascended into Heaven, and the last book would not be written for almost 70 years. Yet St. Stephen and countless others were martyred for the Faith BEFORE any of the New Testament was written down.

For instance, at Gen. 23:7, it says that Abraham "bowed" to the pagan Hittites. In this situation, Abraham was physically bowing or stooping down to the Hittites as a gesture of respect. However, in the previous chapter, Abraham told his servants that he and Isaac "are going over there; we shall worship and then come back to you." (Gen. 22:5) In this case, it is clear that Abraham going to a mountain to worship God along with his son. In both verse, the word "shachah" was used.
"The "Worship" which that passage from the Catholic Encyclopedia talks about is the same kind of "Worship" that Abraham gave to the people of the land of the Hittites."
That is simply not true. The Catholic Church made up a non-Biblical term for the worship of Mary. That word is "hyperdulia." As the Catholic Encyclopedia says: "As the Blessed Virgin has a separate and absolutely super-eminent rank among the saints, the *worship* paid to her is called hyperdulia." But, where in the Bible did Jesus tell his followers to worship Mary? NOWHERE!! At John 4:23, Jesus said: "But the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; and indeed the Father seeks such people to worship him." So, the only way to be a true worshiper is to worship Jesus' Father, whose personal name is Yahweh or Jehovah, not a trinity. (Ex. 3:15)

Exactly. "Shachah" has more than one meaning. But as we have seen, "Shachah" is translated as "Worship" in English. That means that the English word "Worship" actually has MORE THAN one meaning.
(It makes no sense to admit that a particular Hebrew word has MULTIPLE meanings while at the same time saying that the English translation of that same Hebrews word has ONLY ONE meaning).
By admitting that "Shachah" has more than one meaning, you are essentially admitting that English translations of "Shachah" ("worship" or "bow down') also has multiple meanings.
It is therefore false to claim that "Worship" (or "bow down") can ONLY mean "recognizing and acknowledging a person or thing as a divine being or a god".
This is just one FORM of ''worship" (the highest form of worship) but there are other lesser forms of worship eg honouring or respecting someone (it is this form of "worship" that Abraham showed to the Hittites in Genesis 23:12).
And it is this same kind of worship that the Catholic Encyclopedia talks about
There is no need to bring John 4:23 into this discussion because in that verse Jesus talks about the Worship given to God which is the highest form of worship. The Catholic Church never taught that Mary deserves the highest form of worship or the kind of worship meant for God alone.
The absence of the word "Hyperdulia" in the Bible doesn't make it inappropriate for use in Christian vocabulary because there are many words that christians use that are not explicitly written in the Bible eg "seminary", "theology", "Bible", etc

Scripture DOES NOT say that Christ built a ROMAN catholic church. Rome does. Scripture DOES NOT say that the church gave the bible. Rome does. PETER does not say that the church gave the bible. PETER mind you. Peter did not say the church has sole authority to interpret scripture. Rome does. Peter does not say pray the rosary, pray to Mary and that the way to Jesus is to Mary. On and on.
    Scripture, the bible "
THIS BOOK. Does not mean revelation only because Deuteronomy and proverbs say the same thing. And what did the apostle Paul mean by "another gospel."
I just love the way you the way you twist the hell out of scriptures. So what you're saying is Sola Scriptura is not EXPLICITLY taught in scripture. Ok, so show me where the rosary, prayer to Mary, the papacy, immaculate conception, perpetual virginity are EXPLICITLY taught in the bible . EXPLICITLY!!! Yes, and 2 thess 2:15 says STAND FAST and HOLD the traditions you HAVE BEEN taught. Paul also said to KEEP the traditions AS I DELIVERED THEM UNTO YOU. So if you keep, stand fast and hold, why does the church keep adding traditions? How can sacred tradition be equal to scripture if scripture EXPLICITLY says not to add to it? Scripture EXPLICITLY says "if they speak not according to THIS word, it is because there is no light in them." So spin the "this word" for me. Put the Catholic spin on that. Finally , if Sola Scriptura is wrong why did the church use the BIBLE ALONE to say that sacred tradition is equal to it. Why not the Koran, the book of Mormon or any other book. Was sacred scripture THE ONLY book out there that could give your sacred tradition credibility and believability? Apparently so or when your church said "equal to sacred scripture' did it mean a certain part of the scripture or all of it? So as your apologist, Tim staples said that sola Scriptura is a man made tradition. Ok, let me get this straight. YOUR one true church used a book, doctrine of bible alone that is a false doctrine, and a man made tradition to say sacred tradition is EQUAL to scripture? Think about that? So the church unwittingly, in trying to disprove sola scriptura, has actually confirmed it. Otherwise your church should have used any other book or "sacred writing? Last question. Where does scripture say Jesus left ONE man in charge of THE CHURCH?" What did Christ say before he ascended? That he would pray to the Father who would send a man?

What trash from an ignorant biased Protestant who has sipped on the Propaganda. Educate yourself by reading the early fathers!
Protestants miss the point that Jesus didn’t leave us the bible, He gave us His One True Church Mt 16 18-19 that is the pillar & foundation of Truth 1 Tim 3:15, having authority over the bible which she codified
Protestants have an incomplete bible & lack of understanding of the Deposit of Faith & the unifying authoritative interpreter role of the Magisterium. No entity from family to corporates & govt can function properly without hierarchy & authority. The lack of these qualities explains the confusion, division & scandal of 000’s of sects that are not of Jesus who willed unity Jn 17 11-23. It is illogical to claim that personal interpretation is guided by the Holy Spirit if there is more than one Protestant “church” ie Lutheran.

By asking where in the Bible does it EXPLICITLY say this or that, you demonstrate you didn't understand the video. The whole point is that catholics do NOT believe that the entire faith is contained in the Bible. For example, the instructions for baptism are not clear in Scripture, yet we know how to baptise, because we have apostolic succession; ie, we do what was handed down to us in an unbroken line from the apostles. God bless +++

@@christopherfleming7505 no, he's trying to point it that the bible doesn't teach this or that that it his point. If scripture doesn't explicitly teach it. Or that it doesn't have to explicitly say it (same thing,l word ply as usual. As many of you say "scripture doesn't clearly or explicitly teach Sola Scriptura." Well, the same standard should apply to your teachings. But then the argument is Jesus said many things that aren't recorded in scripture. Like that gives the church authority to just say we can establish MORE oral tradition. He even quoted Paul when he clearly says KEEP the traditions AS I DELIVERED THEM unto you. DELIVERED not will deliver. And he said STAND FAST and HOLD the traditions you have been taught or were taught. Does STAND FAST Nd HOLD really need explaining? And hpaul said HAVE BEEN not will be taught. Does he or you not understand past tense? How in any shape, way or form give the church or anybody authority to just keep adding traditions as your church willingly does? The key is that traditions in Paul's day did not clash with scripture. Do the traditions of Catholicism agree with scripture? That should be a resounding NO. That is why both Jesus and Paul did not agree with traditions. You know that 11 of the 13 mentions of scripture are in a negative sense? Primarily because Jesus said they make the word of God of no effect. So if the argument is Sola Scriptura is not RXPLICITLY taught then you should be held to the same standard. But it's always "we are ok with ours, you are not." He's trying to justify the traditions of the church. Like Tim Staples does while saying Sola Scriptura is a man mAde tradition.

Very well done. For those that want a more plentiful exegesis see Robert Sungenis’ Commentary on the Catholic Douay-Rheims New Testament which is exegeted from the Original Greek and Latin. This Volume 3 speaks vvspecifically about 1 Cor 4:6 on pages 219 thru 230 in great detail.
