Im tellin ya fork over the few bucks a month to get access to his lessons. You wil quickly see its money well spent. I am most impressed with the way he lays out the guitar into 5 positions. His playing speaks for itself and he teaching skill is great. Grab a month and tell me im wrong.....
You play Mimosa so much vertiginous with hyper lyricism !!! You're a great guitar lover and you touch me very deep. Thanks for this expession of PURE LOVE Jean
The total package: Chordal improvisation, high torque machine gun lines, feel, swing, benson like hipness - total badass. BTW the force and swing of your lines remind me of the relatively unknown Bob Gallo who used regularly Jam with Vic Juris in Brooklyn NY. Joseph P Cannavo
Hi Barry, I have a question: do yo play the same lines regardless the chord you are playing? I mean, If you are playng Eb7b5 you are using the 4 mode of the Bb melodic minor. and you play a line. Does that line work the same for Bbm (major). I dont know if Im clear.
Kind of:) The emphasis of notes changes based on the chord type but the overall shape if the memorized lines is basically the same. When playing melodically, none of it matters but on fast stuff... Thanks
Hi Barry, I asked vida the owner of the Litchfield Jazz Fest to send you an invite. I don't know if extended it. but do you think you will be performing in the city in the summer of 2018 maybe 55 Bar, or Mezzrow or the Bar Next Door etc,?
I know you're really fast and I love your playing and education so much, but you tend to rush more often than not - would be great if you slow it down for the purpose of projection and delivery and will sound more beautiful understandable and less of a sloppy type writer,..whats the rush anyway? is it the coffee?
The lessons on the site feature slower demos and tons of written material. This is a live broadcast not a guitar lesson. Try the site for 7 days free and you’ll see what I’m talking about. barrygreenevideolessons.vhx.tv
