Just bought a used k300 from a piano rental company that’s closing. Paid $4900 so I feel I got a good price. I was originally looking at the k15 but he upsold me. It’s for my daughter and niece to learn piano. Hope they stick with it and it graces our family worship for a long time.
I bought one yesterday and look forward to delivery… bought it in the UK though, not Texas! There is an interesting difference. North American K300s are made in and imported from Japan, but those on the European market are made and imported from Indonesia. They are both Kawai factories using the same processes and materials, but some suggest that the Japanese models have a better build quality. Kawai say there’s no difference. I don’t know what the truth is, only that if someone from Europe is watching this then they should know that they are not made in Japan unless you are in the USA or Canada.
I am at an intermediate level (classical) and currently own an FP-10 from Roland and I am looking for something that can carry me all the way to my advanced level and beyond until I can afford a grand or get a house that can accommodate it, do you think K300 would be the best option? Also in India here we do have 2 different builds for K300 one from Indonesia and the other from Japan and there’s a $2000 difference between them which is huge and I can only afford the Indonesian one as it’s cheap, is there any noticeable difference I should be worried about? Thank you guys are you are doing a phenomenal job with these reviews and it really helps noobs like us to understand piano better!❤
There’s nothing ‘pro’ about the K300. I own one and it’s a total disappointment in touch and tone. Even Kawai’s head technician said ‘you shouldn’t have bought this piano, it’s for beginners’. He is absolutely correct.

Just bought a K300, after watching tons of reviews. Best decision I've made. By far! Couldn't be more fulfilled.

Bought the ES520 about a month ago, thinking of trading it back in for the K300. Such a big purchase though.

Hi, could you please tell me what is the distance from the surface of the white keys to the bottom of the music rest on the Yamaha U1? Thanks.
