Gyalo Thondup, Elder Brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Passes Away at 97
With deep respect and heartfelt prayers, we share the news that Gyalo Thondup, the elder brother of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, passed away this evening at around 5:45 PM at the age of 97.
In honor of his life and legacy, the monks of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery have offered Monlam prayers for his swift rebirth in the pure realms and for his continued journey on the path of the Buddha. May his soul find peace, and may his noble aspirations continue to benefit all beings.
