Started when I was in the 7th grade. I am 59 years young now and still have this issue. Just learning not to stress about it anymore because I still love me regardless 😌 It is not about what is happening to me on the outside but not letting it affect me on the inside. For whatever reason this happened to me and I am learning to be more stronger... And I am 😍 loved.
Hi I seen this and can relate. I have had this since I was 12yrs I am now 55 almost 56 and have been dealing I could say since my existence. I can recall the day it started... I literally was (am) embarrassed for anyone to find out about the "secret" I've been hiding for years. My intimate family knows but hiding it has been a struggle my whole life. I could write forever but thanks for talking about this... Patti
Yes Patti it is a very difficult thing to deal with especially if it has been for many years. At first I was hiding it as well but that is also hard to do! Even now in public if I am standing in line somewhere I feel like people can see the bald spots or shorter pieces of hair sticking and I would just keep touching it to hide it. Hope all is well!
@@dannaselene yes I take medication for stress, anxiety also PTSD and this has helped me but in all reality this I think will be with me forever but controlled. For this I am thankful oh and if I add also I have an ESA emotional support animal this also helps!🙏🏾
🥺😇 may you find another to get rid of those bad emotions that build up from the trauma. 💜 Hugs & Kisses 😇 Have a blessed and safe holiday and Christmas 💜😇
I started doing this when I was 5 or 6. I only pull the hair in my cowlicks. I don't pull the hairs out, but i usually twirl it into knots and sometimes they snap. I noticed it's usually triggered by stress or boredom. Watching TV or reading I'll do it for hours. Since I only do the cowlicks the bald spot isn't really noticeable, but I learned to cut my own hair because I feel like the barber will see it and think I'm a freak..lol

I started doing this when I was around 8 years old. When I’m stressed I notice I start pulling. I have to stop myself.
