was working on this problem myself. my design was different but similar. you have done it well. I will stop working on mine most likely. May I suggest you make your upper handles approximate a P shape making it easier for the worker to back into the ladder, giving them an earlier handhold as they step backwards at height., the most perilous time
At the time of 5:39 on the video, is that installation correct? it also happens at 5:46. The ladder run is above the landing, while using the extension.
I would appreciate a video clip of someone EXITING the roof correctly. Stepping into the roof is the easy part.
Please demo how to get off the roof using this extension.....

@@negative949 Hi, no not as yet. just take it easy backing onto the ladder.( hence my suggestion to make the railings extend further)
