I really love the great ramification on your trees, the "naturalist" style you seem to follow amazes me.... keep up the videos, thank you, greetings from Brazil
Please, tell me, why would you add that poder on top of your soil if that only going to plug the soil/akadama, ? I've never seen anyone do that to their soil,
Nice tree 😀 but isn't akadama dust, even only used as top layer, armfull to root system? Like "choke" the whole root system? I've been told all the time to get rid of the soil dust, thats why i am asking... thnks a lot ;)
Joao Balinha as I explain in the video, it works well in this situation, with an otherwise well drained soil, a thirsty tree and the ability to flush the roots every other year. The dust will also tend to remain in the upper levels of the soil structure as it has been added to the surface. But no, ordinarily I wouldn’t recommend it.
@@bonsai4me2 that makes sense... i would probably try on one or two trees of mine to see if it works because the climate where i live is very hot in the summer and the trees tend to dry very quickly... it may help the soil retain water longer. i hope. thnks again :)
Francisco Tabares not this tree, it is well established and healthy, it is also out of leaf so no transpiration/moisture loss from the leaves that require shading
Beautiful tree, beautiful music. Very educational to me. Thank you so much. How do you track each tree? Do you keep a notebook of what needs to be done?
Jonathan Steitzer thank you! My son Jake writes the score, a talented musician. I take photos and have the date as the file name so I remember when....the rest I just remember somehow, across many many trees
This Elm tree is simply stunning. The ramification is incredible! Great work and thanks for sharing.

Fantastic video !! Thank you !!!
Splendid!
wonderfull tree
Incredible tree, love the natural way of the ramification! Has the large cut on top healed fully?
A fantastic tree and clearly very healthy in that pot. But visually I would prefer it in a slightly deeper and wider pot.
Mel Hillocks fair enough Mel. I was a bit taken back when Vic Harris sent me the pot, but quickly fell in love with how big it makes the trunk look.
@@bonsai4me2 as I say non the less a great tree

Pot is too small for the tree. Out of proportion.
🫣 thank you! I hadn’t realised how shallow it was until just now!!
Wait til you see where the first branch is, you’ll be mortified!
@@bonsai4me2 Very nice tree. KEEP THE VIDS COMING
