So... she splits the reality into two dimensions, and chooses different choices in each. She decides which one she goes back into after the choice, thus giving her an advantage over her enemies.
The questions was which brother should be caught. I don't remember their names but catching the left brother seems to have been fatal. Catching the right brother (thus the reality chosen) allowed her to stop them. Things like this are confusing so I hope I came somewhat close.
@@Meritferret That was one of the choices that appeared. The first one (0:54) was what to do with the camera-doll, which was either throw it out the window or smash the camera. The second (1:32) was what to do when the fire cannon was pushed out, which was either go in front of it and put up a shield or hide behind another object out of the line of fire. The third (2:00) was either following Flim or Flam.
That was a really awesome way to depict that superpower. You did a great job communicating what was happening without any dialogue. A full animated feature with a hero doing that would be lots of fun. Also I laughed at the "Super Speedy Pony Squeezy."
In all of my many years of being alive, i have never seen such a brilliantly written short that reveals the possiblities and outcomes of the choices one makes. My thoughts? Marvelous, truly marvelous
The return of the “Hasbro-slogan-filled doll” Woah! Applejack gets two chances to save the day?! Cool! Either that or there can be two of her Either way, cool!
There is never two of them in the same spacetime. The "H" symbol is likely a Heisenberg Quantum Entanglement Device that "explores" two posible outcomes happening on two other potentially different worldlines; feeding back the information into Applejack´s mind [in a similar way to the "visions" Celestia had in S4E25]; so she knows the consequences of each. -> For example, when she choosed to drop the doll out of the train, it exploded (potentially killing other ponies outside); so even if Applejack survived inside the train, that "outcome" would not be acceptable [so she instead bucked the doll hard enough to break the triggering mechanism, implying the explosive was plastic C4 (not nitroglicerin)]. The last "split posibility" was who of the two brothers would use the mecha [there is no real difference on the train, as the machine is perfectly able to do the same stuff]; but there WAS a difference on the "urban terrain" on either side (that building on the left was not "mirrored" on the other side); so what Applejack could do to defeat the robot depended on that "external" factor.
@Canatime The "only 2 visions" at a time restriction may be related to that golden coin (bit?) that she toss in the air after activating the magical symbol in her suit [maybe it is just to "check" if it is working correctly, but there is also the posibility that the coin itself creates the "divergence split path" that gets explored (1 for the "left side", 2 for the "right side")].
Take everything Argamis says with a heavy grain of salt, I've seen enough of his comments on various videos to know he consistently jumps to conclusions too quickly and tries to fit in references to other things where they don't fit. Here he made several errors in the analysis, for one Applejack doesn't see the future, she simultaneously lives in both timelines. That's why the video shows them happening together except in the final time, where it gets rewound. This may relate to quantum physics in so far as there is some multiverse theories that state the only sustainable universe is the one the preserves the observer, but entanglement is completely unrelated, and I think it's stupid to try to explain super powers using real physics. It's all magic that doesn't need an explanation. I can't say with 100% certainly what the author's intent for the coin is, but I'm pretty sure it's purpose is just so each Applejack knows which one they are. The reason they need to know this is because she makes the choice BEFORE she splits (if it comes up 1, I do this, if it comes up 2, I do that), and it's by seeing the difference in numbers that the different courses of action occurs.
Theres a character named Coil in a story I love that has this exact power, this is a superb visual representation of it. There was also a Nicholas Cage movie that shares the same concept but it was eh
Well as long as Applejack is careful, I guess it can work out. We've seen what changing the past does to the present when Starlight Glimmer messed with timelines... However, from the way I see it it's not exactly changing the past, it's sort of like viewing the future and picking which way to carry it out.
Omg, this power is so interesting and cool. Such a cool idea! Great job. I want to study animation later and man, I can tell how much effort you put into this.
2:49 on the poster of the nine-tailed Rarity from KDA? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2:49 на плакате девятихвостая Рарити из КДА?
Awesome animation. Am I seeing (2:50) reference to Lol Kda Ahri Rarity? She looks like she has Ahris tails but blue instead of pink-purple. Still. Keep up the work!
That was pretty damn epic, awesome work! 2:06 hehe I wonder how often they had to film this scene because AJ would always stop at that poster and admire the beauty it shows ~~
The first "Different view of reality" (the one with Sunset Shimmer stealing Twilight´s crown) had Rarity raising a "gem shield" to protect the ponies in her concert from the attacks of the "Shadowbolts". -> Just when Applejack (in her Mare-do-well suit) needed to jump up to reach them, Rarity used her magic to shatter her "gem dome" upwards, helping her [so even if they are not a couple, they must at least know each others].
So... she splits the reality into two dimensions, and chooses different choices in each. She decides which one she goes back into after the choice, thus giving her an advantage over her enemies.
Where the brothers split, as well? What happened, there?

Ok that makes sense, i was so confused
Okay, that's a really cool concept. Keep up the great work!
I'll have to agree on that.

This is a very unique way of presenting two different paths, I can wholeheartedly say that I love this way of presenting a story
An item that can play out 2 probabilities to see which path is best? That is so cool

It's like aj can predict the future in anther dimension and she can control the two dimension
Woah, she is the ultimate spy.
Really liked the idea! Especially love how you draw the characters.
Love the comic intro, and Applejack's power is so cool.
So, you basically gave her Coil's power from the Worm web series? Pretty cool.

She's not seeing the future or changing the past, it's just that only the dimension where she was successful survives.
AJ is my favorite character. Thanks for this fantastic animation with her
