You paint so beautifully. I came here to learn how to mix & paint dark skin colors. But between watching you paint & the lovely sound effects, I keep falling asleep.🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the serenity. I needed it this morning. & Thanks for the lesson, too. This is so helpful for my artist journey. So much more helpful than others I’ve tried to understand. ❤️😁
Just amazing! I've learned alot just from this one video! The way u handled ur brush and created so many different shades from so few colors was just magical!!! Hats off to u, Sir! Thank u!!!
It took you 47 mins to complete that... Me? after 1 month of watching vids like this. My first time took 5 hours to get similar results. First hour, drawing the structure right. Second hour, using colors that looked similar but at the same time limited. Third hour, fixing the structure of the painted face. Fourth hour, coming to terms that the lighter "white" light was actually a shade of blue grey 5th hour trying to get the color right. I gave that try a 5/10 and thought it came out bad and went to sleep. I woke up and looked at it again WITHOUT looking at the reference and said "Damn that look good 6/10) So my problems I have right now is choosing the right colors. I've been watching movies and such and noticing they are purposely choosing certain colors to put inside their media. I see the light, clothes, walls, etc. I've finally gotten off that thought that "white skin is only shades of pink and black skin is only shades of brown" To make my painting look more lively. Now I am going to try and speed up my panting and see if I can't get the same results of 5 hrs into 1 hr. THEN I'll add new technques.
@@vincentrogers8266 I don't draw at the beginning anymore. I think of everything as an alien object. I paint the large shapes of light and shadow, then move to slightly smaller ones, then even smaller ones. My brain then starts to recognize human, car, tree, etc. That is when I know it's time to add in the details. I use large blocks of shapes to hold the likeness. It's like sculpting. It's far better for me and also helps me paint things from life.

Man, you just went straight for the details 😳. Nicely done. I do the broad shape and hues then refine...doesn't come close to this though. Do you paint the same when painting from life?
I like your technique can you tell me what is the name of it? And can you do a step by step tutorial on it please or tell me where I can find a technique step by step on it. Thanks
Can you show us with 3 cameras? : 1. Full camera shot focused on the canvas you are working on. ( 4/6 video screen display ) 2. A second camera / reference photo that is the object of your painting so that we can better understand how you make decisions for certain details. (1/6 video screen display) 3. The third camera, which is important enough to explain to us what actions you are doing off the canvas and off your palette table. For example, you take turpentine, or you're cleaning the oil paint residue off the brush, or whatever. That way we can better understand your process thoroughly. Thank you very much for your kindness.

This is the simplest way of mixing the skin tones and blending and I just loved it . Thanks 😊
K!
Also, there's no talking in this video, just birds in the background. Beautiful touch. ;-)
Agree...🥰Amaizing ,so calming and peacful...
I love the way Mr. Cordova shows the person of color in human poses and shows the beauty of dark skin tones.
Thank You So Much :-)

Very well done and thank you for your palette information. I also appreciate the tranquility of the birds instead of background music. :-)

You can save yourself the hour of drawing it by using transfer paper or a projector. No need to waste so much time trying to draw it out!

How is your palette and the canvas one surface?
This was an exercise I did on a cardboard.
I love your painting style, I truly do, thank you for sharing. By the way, you using Acrylic? water-based?
I think it's oil paint
Which medium .. oil or Acrylic!!
this is oils
What kind of brush and paint/mediums did you use ? I see in the beginning you put a transparent thing before putting on the paint what was that ?
Odorless mineral spirits. Soft flat brushes.
@@CesarCordova okay! Thank you !
Muito obrigada!
Hello sir
I know this is late, but what medium are you mixing into your oils on the palette, and do you always use a clean brush when you need to add more?
Odorless Mineral Spirits. You don't have to clean your brush every time, only when you need a very clean color, like white.
Thank you for the reply. I think this may help
Which medium did you use?
Odorless Mineral Spirits.
Is this allaprima?
yes
Hola!

These aren't colors the average artist has on hand. A recipe with the five common colors would be more helpful! Great painting by the way🙂
That's.. that's a painting...I THOUGHT IT WAS A PITCURE 😭
use only one big brush painting ,,oh no don't ever do that,
