Norm , I like your picks , particularly The Au Pairs ! If you don't have , seek out the 12" of Innocence with an incredible alternate version of " Headache For Michelle " 4 I would have included are Buzzcocks " Love Bites " Pete Shelley was a great ✍. The debut Undertones record. Ultravox " Ha Ha Ha ! " Side 2 is perfect & John Foxx was awesome ! And finally the 1st Killing Joke LP. Geordie , a great 🎸. That album has had songs covered by Mettalica & The Foo Fighters. Good memories.

Nice to hear and see your choices. Wow, never knew anyone that was at that Winterland show, other then the press. Cool! Glad to see a few here....more in my area of punk (as opposed to the Harder side). I own the Slits, and I understand what/why they are punk, but I am not into the sound. Interesting your tie in to Au Pairs where they both run parallel. I like their guitars mostly. Nice Gang of 4, it is so funny how many folks are NOT into them. Clash...hmmmm, best RnR band, interesting.....coming from a Stones head. Actually Strummer is one of the best RnRollers. I have been planning on a small Punk doc version for years, and finally started my gathering my research. UK/NYC 75-77......however what is putting me off course is how much there is to expose, and trying not to be so redundant with what is out there already (which is useless to try). Where is Ken Burns....John Varvatos / Iggy have a good one out recently. oh....you are missing the beer for Richie's opening... cheers! steve

Reverencing the vinyl loving Trumpanzee. Some Punks bands had a neo fascist element. We had a few scraps with the Oi Oi Punk Skins 40 years ago. The movement, if you can call it this, was a mish mish of ideas, not always that progressive or mature. Pistols were Bollocks , that was the point, entertainment for the masses., same as the Rolling Stones! Slits are relatively well respected these days, even amongst the more serious musos. As to why?
