I don't really like Jimmy Carr but I do have a lot of respect for the way he's handled the tax issue since it came out. He's not defensive about it, in other videos he's admitted fault (to a point, mind...) and he's willing to take the piss out of himself over it. Can't say fairer than that

a not so hot take: jon, sean and jimmy are the golden trio.
don't get me wrong, i loved the older episodes of the show with dave spikey and jason manford. i also enjoy the new version with rob beckett, aisling bea (for a series) and katherine ryan. they're all solid comedians and they can all be quite funny.
that being said, jon, sean and jimmy just have this amazing chemistry where they all interact like true friends. you always feel like you're hanging out and interacting with mates when they get together and start talking shit.
jon's humour is always self-deprecating and he's sort of the easy target to make fun of but he's a good sport and has great comebacks. also, in episodes where they discuss things like jimmy's tax scandal, jon adds quite a serious tone to it and makes quite insightful points while being funny.
sean is always absurd and a contrarian, not in an annoying way but just in a way where you never know what to expect from him and he truly works like a randomiser. his chaos mixed with his ability to make fun of everyone and no one at the same time is what makes him so impressive.
jimmy has the more edgy and sexual sense of comedy, but despite the persona he puts on of being a bit of an ass, i think his true nature and personality shines through when on the show with these two. he proves time and time again that he can be funny on the spot, as well as being able to sniff out comedy gold and let the show derail if need be.
even if you dislike one of them or something of that sort, i doubt there's any denying about the fact that they all just have a great energy together. they bounce off of each other, find ways to fuel each other's jokes and despite having very different acts and personas, they just gel and connect really well.
i personally love jimmy and he's one of my favourite comedians, but seeing the new episodes makes me feel a bit sad. he seems less like a friend and more like he's back to taking the role of a host a little more serious. any of the banter just doesn't really hit the same and i don't feel like people have a real connection.

Warren it’s cool don’t worry I didn’t know if you were making a pun. So the first bit was that joe was just being his usual weird self by talking about marmite as it’s a weird subject and just fairly irrelevant and unusual so then the other guy said to joe, “some people like him......” implying the whole love and hate to do with marmite so joe topped it off by pretending to not understand his joke and then acted offended by saying, “we all love him.” I hope this helped

I don't get the marmite factory joke
Marmite is very divided on whether people like it or not. So that’s why Tim (redhead) said they “either love him, or ehhh” about Joe’s mate.
Marmite has been advertising under the banner "you either love it or hate it" for decades, hence Tim's joke - which Joe then pretends not to understand, for added effect.
If you meant the initial line from Joe, I think it was one of those throwaway oddball comments which only Joe can deliver like that - something he/his character might be jealous of, but the rest of us wouldn't be.

@@cubrakadabra ahh, right. Yeah, again I think it's playing up the weirdo character he has - he's acting like he doesn't get the joke and is offended on his friend's behalf.
I don't think there's any other reference or anything, just playing on the idea of Joe being so out of the loop that he doesn't know the Marmite campaigns, even though he is envious of a friend who works for them.
It assumes the audience know the Marmite campaigns and how ubiquitous they are/have been in the UK and the running jokes at Joe's expense - him looking homeless/being the weirdo on the bus, etc. that they've done on the cats shows for years.

Rob Beckett is not funny. He’s that irritating kid that follows you around and annoys you. You want to kick his ass, but you know it would be too easy, so you just try to ignore him.
