I yanked the stake out of mine this year only to have the tree tilt to one side and I had to re-stake it. Do you know how to encourage stronger root and trunk growth? I think I may have allowed my tree to get a bit top-heavy and I need to prune some branches back this winter.
Don’t give them anything other than water when flowering and setting fruit as this will encourage leaf growth rather than flowers and fruit set. Potash etc should be done before flowering begins 👍
