What is your favorite design element in your garden? Do you favorite tree, flower or structure that you would recommend?🙂💚🌸
Wow!!!! If I was your neighbor I'd bring the tea ❤️
Haha…thank you,Lucky!😁🌸
I love climbing roses. I have Cecil Brunner on my font side yard arbor. They are pink and so delicate. My favorite yard accessory is my gazebo. I’m in Southern California zone 7. Some of my flowers are beginning to bloom. For us, it’s been unusually rainy and cold. I believe more rain is on its way next week. Thank you for sharing such informative videos😊😊
How nice Annalee you have flowers already! 🌹Yes, CA is the biggest rose growing state. Great winter temps usually out west!🙂
Your garden looks so nice and neat, look forward your spring colors soon!
Thank you Linda, I agree can’t wait for some color!🌸🙂

Thank you Melissa, yes, I do like both the arch and bench! I can’t wait to see how the roses do for their 2year on the arch!🌹😊

Hi Michelle. New subbie here. The Jane Magnolia has been in my wishlist for a while. After hearing you speak about it, I’m inspired to search for one this season. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Welcome, yes, a Jane Magnolia is perfect for all sizes of gardens! Last season I found the 2 new ones at a big box store, but a garden nursery should have them too!😊🌸
Hello Michelle. Thank you for all your videos, they are really inspiring. Is your fountain plugged into an outlet? An extension cord? I have a fountain but am afraid to have it plugged into an extension cord and wanted to know how you have yours attached to electricity. Thank you again!
Hi Rachel, thank you for watching. Yes the fountain is plugged into an outlet the box is underground next to the fountain. I have an on off remote attached to the plug in with a key fob to switch on and off. I had tried a timer and didn’t like it and also tried leaving it on continuously but that didn’t work neither. This seems to work the best. 🙂
@@Michelleshomeandgarden thank you so much Michelle
I have a question about the fountain you have in your yard. It's not cement so how would you prevent from cracking with the cold winters in zone 5? Also what material is the base of the fountain sitting on? I love this style and I want to get it right.
Hi Michele, the fountain is stored in the winter. You are correct it would not last outside in zone 5. ( our last fountain cracked when I left it out over winter) The base is custom my husband created it. It is made out of a heavy pvc like material that looks similar to marble. The pic is from last spring when the trees were blooming. We set it up around mid April and store usually by Oct/Nov.
about your rose on the Arbour, do you take all the leaves off it before spring? Do you cut them down at all?
The climber on the arbor was new last season, so I had trimmed a few wild branches that wouldn’t weave into the arch, but other than that no other trimming since it’s new. I have never taken the leaves off any of the roses until this last season I had a few of the same kind that had powdery mildew those I took all the leaves off.🙂🌹
I'm a new gardener with not much dough...id like to plant somethings i live in NY what can you plant that will survive easily and last like...that you felt was dependable an worth the cash
Depending on your garden zone Lucky, if you are also in 5. I like of course the magnolia and lilac, if you mean shrubs/trees.
You may want to get out in your area and see what others have in their gardens that you like and that will do well in your area. ( this is how I picked our new tree last year, seeing in out in other gardens)
Also, your local garden center can be very helpful for plants that will work well in your location. 🙂🌸
