I would love to see a compilation of all the times he jumps out of his seat. Just the jumps. We can call it the Hellmuth Ultimate Ejector seat compilation.
Exactly. If Phil really believes it's that much of a travesty when he loses in a game that involves luck, he should apologise to his opponents every time he gets there with a worse hand. Don't see him calling himself an "idiot player" when that happens
You both say that but don't point out the context. Phil has been around longer than most pros and these kids he tells it how it is to rarely last 10 years. Calling a large bet pre flop with garbbage against a fairly tight person with 3 to act behind is cancer tier level play. Then to call a c-bet on the flop with nothing is even worse. That's why (and rightfully so) he gets pissed off. He's playing Donkey players that have no business at this level and will almost certainly go broke to other players. Phil then gets God level flops and they out draw him with bad calls yet again. Phil has to have the worst TV luck from the past 15 years but sure you look at the single aspects of hands. Phil is down what $60k in this format and look how he lost most of it. All ins to rats that get lucky and he knows won't be relevant in poker in 10 years. He also probably won half of that in regular small pot play meaning he lost most of his chips to bad luck. I wonder how you would react losing $10k to someone that not only played poorly but then got rewarded with luck and THEN gets needled. Phil has been around a long time and likely will be for longer than most. Do I agree with some of his antics, obviously not. Some of it is branding granted but the guy is obsessed with poker and quality play. If you had something you were passionate about you would act the same.
