My home state. Quiet, quaint and rural. A place of tradition and natural beauty. Perfectly content to remain a wall flower, the world bustling around her all the while she remain the same as she has always been. May she stay this way for many generations to come.
I, too, am a Granite State enthusiast. Indeed, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting New Hampshire on day trips and extended holidays since the 1960s, and I am consistently moved by her seemingly endless man-made and natural attractions. For the newcomer to New Hampshire, by all means make a beeline to the Mountain Washington Valley, truly one of the outstanding highlights of a trip to New England.
This is amazing footage!!!!!! My folks were married that year and honeymooned there so this is exactly what they experienced as far as the cannon tram!thank you.
In 2002 I moved from Manchester to Florida full time. I never did like winter and we had a short summer. Weeks of gray cloudy cold windy days. The high property taxes, cold, rusty vehicles and changing political climate was enough for me. Some of our more well to do neighbors used to vacation in Florida for a month or two in the winter. You knew who they were because of their plastic pink flamingos on the lawn. I wondered what the attraction was. I lived in Hawaii for two years and loved the climate but the island of Oahu got really small after a while. Now I enjoy 300 simply beautiful days a year, tropical beaches, the best fishing in the world and I have twice the home and property at one quarter the tax rate. I spent 50 years in NH and the state is amazing but I had to move on to greener pastures. There are some things that I miss about Manchland but I do enjoy my 'second life' here in the Sunshine State.
The southern part of the state has changed a lot. The wonderful farms and wooded acres of land are now gone. Now we're mile after mile of mall after mall. And plenty of $400,000+ McMansions for the wealthy to live in.

@KINDNESS FIRST Mass residents have invaded southern NH over the past 35 years and have destroyed Nashua as well as Manchester . Especially Manchester as the city was once consistently voted as one of the top 3 small cities to live in the USA not to long ago .
