It's easy when you have shag pile carpet to hide the join. How do you do this with axminster or any patterned carpet. You would ruin the pattern look. Also shouldn't you seal the cut edges with latex adhesive to stop threads fraying in the future. Have a look at possibly cutting a 90 degree cut at the corner and hand sewing it. That way you won't notice an angled cut if you have a join in patterned carpet.

But great job explaining how to do it very simple and easy to follow for beginners! Definitely the easiest carpet to show this with. would be good to see a Berber video because Berber is a whole different animal! Keep up the great work!! From one Northern boy to a southern boy

Why didn't you cut outside off when you cut the top of the step then you wouldn't have to cut that you could have just folded it down and stapled I've been doing at 20 years it's much easier if you just cut it off how do you kick it up earlier and left it on the strip he cut it all just cut it all the way off does most time when you do that if you in a tight spot turn your wrist too much some people highest cut it short just cut it off when you cut the top of the step you doing good your way just like that one video I seen every what you feel comfortable with that's what my dad always used to say but I like all your videos too pretty cool I have won a lot of stuff from you and they work easy to cuz I was doing up for years now if you want to fuel your videos and it makes it a lot quicker and a lot simpler but always cut that top of that stuff off but like you were saying what's ever easier for you all right man I like all your videos broke

    • @FloorsbySouthernboys
