It's intriguing how Solomon, with all his wisdom, seemed to struggle to apply it to his own life. Despite his knowledge of spiritual matters and the duality of good and evil, he still faltered. It's a reminder that wisdom alone doesn't guarantee flawless decisions; application and adherence to that wisdom are crucial.

For starters let's get that misinformation title correct. He had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Second these multiple women is what slowly drew his heart away from God. He should have heeded God's warning about accumulating multiple wives. Led him right into apostasy . Trying to please them.

    Loving Creator,
Bless my family with harmony and unity,
And bind us together with cords of love.
Heal any rifts or misunderstandings that divide us,
And help us to cherish the bonds that unite us.
Grant us the grace to forgive one another,
And the humility to seek reconciliation when conflicts arise.
May our home be a sanctuary of peace and joy,
Where each member feels valued and cherished.
Strengthen our family ties, O Lord,
And guide us in walking together in love and unity.
    Amen.

"6Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
7Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned."

Solomon knew of his spiritual gifts. He should have taken his own advise but, the voice of wisdom escaped from him. Solomon knew about demons and the agents of Satanism. Solomon also knew about the pure light which is holy. Solomon knew it all! I guess he really wasn't as wise as everyone thought.

Why is Solomon having many wives bad if Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and David all did without an issue? Is it about the number?

    • @gbizzle8836
      @gbizzle8836 5 месяцев назад +2

Because his wives were worshiping other gods and he abandoned the true creator so god took the kingdom from him

With exception of Moses they all had trouble. Moses may have married twice, but he only had one wife at a time. Solomon’s issue was very spiritual and idolatrous with his stable of wives.
Take Jacob: multiple wives, many children, brothers from other wives plot to kill Joseph. If twelve boys were birthed from one mother it’s likely they wouldn’t have plotted to kill or sell their brother into slavery, Benjamin likely wasn’t in on the plot because he was youngest.
With Abraham you have the issue of inheritance and jealousy because of multiple wives.
David’s firstborn son, Amnon is infatuated with his half sister Tamar and he ( )apes her. Her brother Absalom from the same mother Maacah, kills Amnon out of revenge. Absalom then plots to kill his father David in pursuit of power…You can see how messy this gets.
Read about Gideon in Judges to see a real tragedy of what having multiple children from multiple wives can lead to.
      Deuteronomy: 17:17

Why are the men always depicted having long hair? The bible states that it is a dishonor for men to have long hair.

It’s not about Theology or Biology
In previous verses, Paul presented theological arguments, including an argument from Genesis and creation, but he doesn’t mention creation in verses 13-15, and God is NOT the focus.
And he can’t have been referring to the biological process of hair growth. Paul was an intelligent man. He knew that if left untrimmed, men’s hair has the potential to grow long.
Paul WANTED the Corinthian men to have short hair, the usual style for First-century ROMAN men.
Nature as “natural expectation within the culture” fits the context perfectly. What nature teaches, namely “dishonor” and “glory,” are clearly CULTURAL categories, not categories that could be only from the natural world. The CULTURAL background is summarized in Plutarch’s Roman Questions 267B, “In GREECE … men cut their hair short; women let it grow.”
The text needs to be heard in its own HISTORICAL context before it is applied to BROADER contexts. (margmowczco.com)
      This scripture was based
on the ROMAN belief that hair
was a sex organ, and why
      women should cover their
heads. And if men had long
      hair it meant they were
      actually women

Way back before the Jews ended up in subjection to Imperial Rome, the Jewish men likely wore THEIR hair long, too. The Old Testament is all over the place when it comes to cutting one's hair and trimming or shaving off one's beard see:
      Leviticus 19:27
""You must not shave the hair on the side of your head or disfigure the edges of your beard.
      Numbers 6:5
""All the days of the vow of his Naziriteship no razor should pass over his head. He is to remain holy by letting the hair of his head grow until the days of his being set apart to Jehovah are completed.
      Numbers 6: 18:
'The Nazirite must then shave the uncut hair of his head at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and he will take the hair of his head grown during his Naziriteship and put it on the fire that is under the communion sacrifice.
Apparently god wanted that uncut hair as another form of sacrifice....
Absalom only cut his hair (shaved his head) once a year, and he clearly took pride in his long, lush locks...
      2 Samuel 14: 25 - 26:
Now in all Israel, no man was as highly praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head, there was no flaw in him. 26 When he shaved his head-he had to shave it at the end of every year because it was so heavy for him-the hair of his head weighed 200 shekels by the royal stone weight.
Cutting of a man's hair was also a symbol of mourning, or exile and enslavement.
      Jeremiah 7: 29:
"Shear off your uncut hair and throw it away, and on the bare hills raise a dirge, for Jehovah has rejected and will abandon this generation that has infuriated him.
      Ezekiel 44. 20
They should not shave their head or let the hair of their head grow long. They should trim the hair of their heads.
So in the Old Testament longish to long hair appeared to be the Israelite tradition.

People in the comment section debate about the skin colors. That is the big question because the Israelites that people know residing in Israel today are not the true descendants of Jacob. Don't fall to the biggest deception in history Jesus warned us beforehand "do not be deceive" . Arthur Koestler explained in his book the 13th tribe. And also Zephaniah 3:9-20 are the exact location of the remnants. The moon under her feet in Rev. 12 in the exact location of the Jews. In the mountain of the moon. Read history how anti christians manipulated the prophecy. From the siege of Jerusalem, trans Atlantic slave trade, Berlin Conference and the balfour declaration
