Great video my man! One exchange that stays in my mind is when Bill says that it's the normal people that scare him and that Joel would understand that. It almost serves as a prelude to the hell that Joel and Ellie will face in Pittsburgh and hints at Joel's own past as a Hunter.
@@maxil8988 because the whole point of bills character in the game was to show Joel that he would end up just like a bill. A shell of a man if he didn’t try and change his ways. The harsh reality that was bills life. But in the show? “Bills gay so they live happily ever after.”
@@Schmidtycent As if he wasnt... gay... in the game? Confused as to how him being gay is what made the "happily ever after" in the show. Also I dont know WHAT is "happily ever after" about what ended up happening in the show with them. "The whole point of Bills character" Joel was already a shell of a man, Bills character was meant to be just another story in a apocalypse. Yeah, Bill does influence Joel a little, but to boil down every single thing about a character to being JUST a vessel for the main character is the biggest disservice to a game and show that has mostly very tight, deliberate writing.
@@SnowfallVA yes, bill was gay in the game. Was that the whole point of his fucking character though in the game? Not even close. The show decided to turn the tragedy of bill into a love story with a happy ending which takes a lot of the original tragedy and emotion of the game for the sake of “gay couple lives happily ever after.”
@@Schmidtycent Again, what the fuck is "happily ever after" about dying prematurely? Legit starting to sound like youre just mad dude is more openly gay in the show. Its funny how often "THEY MADE IT THEIR WHOLE CHARACTER" keeps being said when by your own admission, it was turned into a love story, a story cut off prematurely. But yeah, "happily ever after" Keep fuming that theres a gay dude on your screen and his relationship was a focus of the character, I forgot only straight characters are allowed to have their relationships be open and a focus for them, im sure you scream the same "ITS THEIR WHOLE CHARACTER" at straight couples in media. And at the end of the day, whats funnier, is Frank is integral to Bills story, even in the game. Franks body is the ONLY time we see Bill express any human emotion besides anger. Franks story was always meant to be deeply intertwined with Bills. Id have more respect if you just went "Yeah I didnt like seeing a gay couple" instead of pretending its some sort of character assassination. Have the day you deserve.
