sorry to nerd it up but I'm an animator and this clip is super impressive. To do a camera move that swoops down like that and make 2-D animation look somehow 3-D takes mad skill. Also it's old school and all done by hand so doubly impressive.
Super late, but I noticed that too. Despite not actually animating, but knowing the work needed for it makes this short clip just that much more amazing, for it's time especially.
@@andrewgarfield9898 I mean, apart from this obviously not being CGI and that you could kind of tag any animation done on a computer as "CGI", this obviously is frame by frame hand drawn animation. To me he looks melancholic. As if he knows that it won't last. This feeling of absolute freedom is a fleeting one. Knowing the character, that he's from a broken home, with failing grades and quite possible no real future to look forward to, his smile seems very bittersweet.
Back when I was a sophomore in HS me and my friends worked in the help desk fixing people's computers the school handed out to them and checking out books while the librarians sat in the back office the whole period. The class was 1st period so it was like an hour and a half, and after all the first kids came in and got their shit fixed nobody would come in for the rest of the period. I remember hooking up some janky ass speakers we found in one of the shelves in the back of the closets in the library and blasting this and other chill stuff. We'd close all the doors leading into the library so nobody could hear and get us in trouble and turn off all the lights and dimming the ones right above the main desk where we sat. Listening to this gives me flashbacks of hearing my two best buddies talk shit about each others music taste while I laid down on the floor listening to the music and the rain hit against the giant window/wall that ran across one side of the library while I just forgot about the stress of the rest of my classes and let everything go for a while. such a great song. I really appreciate the feelings and memories you guys share randomly to the internet in those comments. It makes me smile reading them. There is no real link/memory to my childhood, but it makes me instantly think about my youth and my best friends back then. When we (hopefully) get through this pandemic, I’m going to go on a long road trip with my closest friends from college and listen to this as we drive along the countryside and look out the window. I’m going to think about what life was like before COVID and know that it’ll never be like that again. I’ll think about my time in college and remember all the memories I made, even though I never got a graduation ceremony. I’ll think about how we lost out on the Summer of 2020. I’ll think about the sporting events that we could once attend without the fear of a virus. Hell, I’ll just think about life in general (before and after COVID). This video and song just speak something to me; I’m not sure why, but maybe one day I’ll figure it out.
+Logan Smith Please don't! If this become a meme song it will get overused and overplayed so much no one will be able to seriously like its corpse any more, like Sandstorm is now. Believe it or not that was a song just like any other before the internet got hold of it, now look where it is
I can just imagine having a car near the sunset driving down a road in the middle of a desert in Arizona on my way to California in a old 70s Lamborghini. And my 2 friends in the car with me as a throw on a pair of aviator's.And as the sun sets I say what a good life.
I went to prison for 5 years. I didn't not hear this song for the time that I was in, but I still remembered it. I came out today, and I found it. I'm in tears....
Dude I was listening to this while I was high and omg I saw so much clarification I finally understood that I should try to get my dad back into my life
I’ll always imagine this song as I’m driving up in Vermont, passing by acres of land with snow on them, thinking of what holds ahead of me on the road, this song brings out so many feelings I never knew I had.
This reminds me of when my parents would be driving me to go get burger king as a kid. I'm asleep as hell in the car and asleep the whole way back home too. those streetlights got hypnotizing
no way. 2016 is when trump got in and everything went backwards. 2012-2015 was a good stretch. it really just depends on who ya are. the modern retro vibe was pretty strong 2013-2015.
This song touched my heart and soul like none other. I listened to this while driving down the windy scenic roads of Wisconsin in my Corolla with the sunroof open. This piece surprised me with a feeling of elevation I haven’t felt in forever. It made me feel like I was a free man, and that nothing could stop me. The whole world felt as if it was within my hand. It’s songs like these that help answer the question to why vaporwave resonates with me so much.
I see this video as a sign of moving on, continuing the long road that is ahead of me, so many twists and turns happend through my life, now its time to move on to the next stop
Nelson faces says it all, I'm sure someone has already said this but I found this video last night and I'm a 80's baby but the combination of the nostalgia of the beat and Nelson face....like if I could only get trap in this moment forever, never get old, no worries, no death, no fears, just me and the homies riding with no particular place to go.
This video is the perfect representation of nostalgia for me. Four friends driving down an empty road, no other cars in sight. The vast green fields illuminated by the sunlight of a summer day. No phones, nothing even remotely modern or controversial happens in this clip, it's literally just four characters from a beloved cartoon we all grew up with enjoying the ride endlessly. It's up to us to fill in the blank as to where they're going. For me this takes me back to those hot summer days as a teenager when you just got let out on vacation. Everyone is working or indoors, so the whole town feels emptier than usual. It's a magical feeling when you enter a mall that's you're used to seeing totally packed, now seemingly bare and devoid of life, and it's only noon. Being on summer vacation as a kid was a magical time because for a few months, it was no worries or responsibilities anymore. Just you, your friends, some spending money and whatever you could find to entertain yourselves with for a few hours every day.
Man this amazing, it's just something about it that makes me feel like my brain is dancing. 2023 and pretty sure the vibe of this piece of art is unique and will live forever, we have to protect this song at all cost. The next generations will need it and will be grateful.
2014-2017 felt a lot more like a bronze age to me, if not an outright dark age/fallen age. It was the time when cringe compilations and the edgiest content reigned supreme, the period that introduced some of the most depressing and deep-fried images imaginable. It was the period in which irony posting ran completely wild and out of control, leading to the irony-poisoning of the most active posters into the equivalents of earnest advocates for rotten, dehumanizing politics. Internet meme culture also became increasingly meta and self-referential, with people learning to quickly identify recycled versions of long-exhausted formats (e.g. "Is this Loss?"), implying mostly-exhausted potential for new and original ideas. If we're going to identify any period resembling a "golden age" of Internet meme culture, we might have to go all the way back to the earliest years of Web 2.0, the early post-Y2K years (something like 2001-2005) when most online conversation happened in forums or IRC groups. The lifespan of a meme was extended by the technical limitations of the Internet bandwidth of the time: downloading a short 30 second audio file could easily take over 5 minutes. Even simple image files took that long to load before you could even copy them to edit in MS Paint or Photoshop! This meant it took much much longer for a meme to reach saturation within broader online culture and turn completely stale. Websites that became popular hubs for sharing memes towards the end of this early period, among them YTMND and 4chan, were the first significant accelerants of a given meme's lifespan. And even _then,_ meme culture apparently wasn't all milk and honey: memes still got stale pretty fast once they entered a specific subculture.
It's 1992. You're laying on the grass and staring at the sky as your closest friend / person who you've longed for lays beside you and takes hold of your hand, intertwining your fingers. In that moment, you know it's real. And, for the first time that day, you're happy.
This reminds me of Rick and Morty. When i get this feeling, i feel somewhat sad, like all life ends (which it does) and nothing is important. But at the same time, i have this urge to just love everyone, live life to the fullest, and just be happy. And that's what that shows about, it shows that humans are nothing compared to other races/species, we mean nothing, but at the same time we mean more than anything.
Dude Rick and Morty is crazy good in that respect. It gives you a satirical look into the unknown everyone is across of but putting it in such a way it's easy to grasp without making you utterly depressed.
This makes me feel positive like everything is that happened was a happy accident instead of a mistake. Some doses of nostalgic like the 90s. And childhood memories of watching something scary but weird at nights by myself. Like Malcolm in the middle theme song. Or mgmt kids music video. Lol

I’m legit doing this right now with my friend and his college roomies.
Tbh I wish people would say this song instead of darude-sandstorm
Start it
Working on it.
It has begun.
+Logan Smith Please don't! If this become a meme song it will get overused and overplayed so much no one will be able to seriously like its corpse any more, like Sandstorm is now. Believe it or not that was a song just like any other before the internet got hold of it, now look where it is
Don't do that
I can just imagine having a car near the sunset driving down a road in the middle of a desert in Arizona on my way to California in a old 70s Lamborghini. And my 2 friends in the car with me as a throw on a pair of aviator's.And as the sun sets I say what a good life.
-song plays
Couldnt have described a better vision...
How will you fit 3 people in a Lamborghini
ModdingTutorials98 The trunk.
Well said my friend.

I went to prison for 5 years. I didn't not hear this song for the time that I was in, but I still remembered it. I came out today, and I found it. I'm in tears....

Reminds me of crusing on backroads with old friends when I first got my license. Those times were gold.
When school is over and you need to relax
Dude I was listening to this while I was high and omg I saw so much clarification I finally understood that I should try to get my dad back into my life
Good for you, man. I hope it worked out.
I feel like 2016-2017 was the peak of all of are lives
2017-2018 for me

no way. 2016 is when trump got in and everything went backwards. 2012-2015 was a good stretch. it really just depends on who ya are. the modern retro vibe was pretty strong 2013-2015.
@@tiberiius trump was pretty great ngl. things are already taking a turn for the worst with joe biden

BART ON THE ROAD
This song makes me sad because it makes me remember good memories that I'll never get again
Toasty Toast facts
why not create new good memories then?
Nelson faces says it all, I'm sure someone has already said this but I found this video last night and I'm a 80's baby but the combination of the nostalgia of the beat and Nelson face....like if I could only get trap in this moment forever, never get old, no worries, no death, no fears, just me and the homies riding with no particular place to go.
He's got the most shitty life in the show. But he still enjoys the small pleasures of life. Good to see even if it's just a cartoon

Resonance for some reason gives me a feeling of leaving the airport after a very long airplane travel and now i meeting this new big city
Interesting how all the music that I used to listen to in the past, made me enjoy and appreciate this genre.
Some Asian lady spinning with her cat brought me here.

2016-2017 was the golden age of memes
6 years it took me to find this beauty
If you like this, the whole 44 minute 12 track album is a freaking masterpiece.
It's 1992. You're laying on the grass and staring at the sky as your closest friend / person who you've longed for lays beside you and takes hold of your hand, intertwining your fingers.
In that moment, you know it's real.
And, for the first time that day,
you're happy.
2 years and now you get a comment.btw I wish what ever you said happened to me.
The Simpsons and resonance = perfection.
❤️🙏🏻
This reminds me of Rick and Morty. When i get this feeling, i feel somewhat sad, like all life ends (which it does) and nothing is important. But at the same time, i have this urge to just love everyone, live life to the fullest, and just be happy. And that's what that shows about, it shows that humans are nothing compared to other races/species, we mean nothing, but at the same time we mean more than anything.
Dude Rick and Morty is crazy good in that respect. It gives you a satirical look into the unknown everyone is across of but putting it in such a way it's easy to grasp without making you utterly depressed.

I felt the same way at the end of the Mass Effect trilogy. Like "woaw I'm a piece of shit"

This makes me feel positive like everything is that happened was a happy accident instead of a mistake. Some doses of nostalgic like the 90s. And childhood memories of watching something scary but weird at nights by myself. Like Malcolm in the middle theme song. Or mgmt kids music video. Lol
listening to this at night in the total dark is the chillest thing ever
