So what I do because I have trouble moving the pci to the ball, I set my pci very low in the zone since most pitchers I face pitch low to try and induce ground balls or swings and misses. This way when they throw a ball low in the zone, those potential ground balls turn into solid base hits, home runs, or just hard hit balls 90% of the time. If I get two strikes on me, I put my pci back to the middle. The pitcher needs to throw you a strike, so they are forced to come into the zone. I try and foul off as many pitches as possible to wear the pitcher down. Sometimes the pitcher will miss with two strikes and I end up getting a hit. Or I strike out, walk or put the ball in play. Either way, each at bat won't be a wasteful one. If you make each at bat count, it is more than likely that the pitcher will throw you a mistake pitch and you'll be able to produce more runs. You can still get base hits with your pci in the center of the zone, you just won't make a perfect perfect everytime unless the ball is pitched right down the middle, but you can foul off tough pitches to stay in the count of you're behind. Even if you can't get a base hit in an at-bat, another goal is to try and wear down the energy of the pitcher. When the energy wears down for the pitcher, he'll start missing his spots and you end up producing more runs just by staying in during your at-bats and fighting
Great video. Picking up the ball from the pitcher is important too. Is there a certain area of the pitcher that you focus on that helps you to pick up the ball early so you can decide if you want to swing or not?
Whoever isn't subed to this guy sub to him when he tells you what and where to put pci you should listen because that's what he told me and I been getting 8 perfects a game . Thanks bro
Also I think the slider and the change up are the hardest. Sinkers are East because they just drop a touch the slider can be made to look like a strike if you throw it low and inside. And the change up drops more than the sinker in my opinion. I love hitting the sinker
I’ve recently switch to just the inner basic pci. Seems to work good for. I still suck just a tiny bit less. Do you play with a monitor? I’ve heard it makes a pretty big difference.
Thanks for the tips!!!! I tried this PCI and used your approach with it in the center right before the pitch and I've started mashing almost instantly.
@@TheEllobo155 I can say that I do it as a "stay loose" kind of mentality... I find that if I just let it sit there the whole time, I tend to get really jerky with it (snapping too far to the side for example). It's a quirk, really.
I have trouble with putting the pci on the ball. After my swing, I feel like I moved the pci to the right location, but then when I look at where I had it lined up, it’s like I didn’t move my pci from where it started at all.
You kinda have to train yourself to really commit to your PCI movement before making your swing. I've found that going into the batting practice and just following pitches (not swinging at anything) helped train my muscle memory for that part of it... After about 10-20 minutes of that, try taking a few cuts and see how you're doing with it. Adjust from there.
@@WYHIWYG242 thanks man I'll work on that, been doing a lot of custom practice on legend and full sliders on fastballs and breaking pitches my struggle is fastballs mostly
Ramón Bejarano find the pitchers release point, focus rly hard on where the ball first appears and follow it all the way. I like to keep my thumb in the stick and move it ever so slightly up and in anticipation the high and inside fastball. Lots of HRs off of those. Only swing if it’s down the middle or high until 2 strikes. You walk more and hit more HRs.
@@Last2Lose No, you should get better at hitting the ball more square and getting your swing timing right to reduce pop flys. If you're popping up a lot, either you're way early/late with your swing, or you're getting under the ball too much.
Everyone’s stats at the beginning were really inflated because of playing on a much lower difficulty and just playing people less skilled at the game. Hitting is in a pretty good state right now it’s got that right mix of difficulty with it still being rewarding. Everyone goes through slumps my man!
I cannot seem to hit fastballs on hall of fame online. How much does delay come into effect if I don’t have a great internet and I’m playing on a decently sized tv?
having the same problem man, on a flat screen and my internet is decent, doesn’t really feel laggy but when i try to catch up to fastballs on hof i just can’t, always late. Hoping to get a monitor soon
You, Yeyo, Gunski and the Jerz are by far my favorite streamers. I've asked you before in a stream but it seems like no one ever really goes over it in their hitting tips videos. Where are you looking to pick up the ball out of the pitcher's hand? Are you staring at the pitcher the whole time? Staring at his head? Staring at the backdrop near the release point and trying to pick it up from there? Sorry for the long comment / question. Your streams are funny af and you're clutch af. Keep up the good work bro
The pitchers hand. If it’s a pitcher I’ve already faced before you just have to get use to telling the movement on certain pitches. Appreciate the support man.
I'm in ws bro and the only pitch I struggle with is the high inside sinker. The fb I crush but the sinker is giving me problems. I play on the new tcl 55 inch with only 11 ms of lag time. In 19 I was early on everything and had to slow my bat down on legend. Now it seems like they decreased the timing window. Any tips ?
I wouldl like to know when they are going to fix the defense. I high diamonds making stupid errors. Infielders and outfielders alike. Today alone, had about 8 to ten errors. Even had a ball hit my player in the head from a fly ball. Had a slow roller right to matt olsen and it literally, went right through him. At those points, i just give the game away.
Bro my problem is with inside and up fast ball, always I'm late in the timing, I don't know what can I do, I tried all and I can't well result, can you give some advice please, say hi from Dominican Republic 🇩🇴
on the button side of the controller what buttons are you using do you always swing normal or contact or power or do you mix it up I try to always do contact just because ex seems easier to hit
I’ll use contact swing when I’m in protection mode down with 2 strikes. The only thing is it lowers your chance of hitting a HR. Don’t power swing, unless you have players below gold. Normal swing will still be a HR as long as you get a perfect hit, even some perfect contacts you still get a HR.
Hey man it would really mean a lot if you replied. I’ve watched like 4 videos about hitting and have watched ppl like Kyle and twin gaming, but it’s still never really covered about really how to place the PCI. I always seem to pull it down even if I know where it is. That sweet spot between real low and middle I can’t finesse my pci there. Any tips?
Something 1 ms. You can get a cheap one for probably $120. Ps4 is capped at 60hz so don’t need to get anything higher than that unless you’re playing PC as well. Benq or Asus are the 2 highest brands. I have a benq rl2455 27 inch and have never had a problem with it

For some reason I always seem to check swing, even on pitches in the strike zone with perfect timing.
Should I power swing or normal swing
I always seem to be swinging too early on this game and idk why. I feel like I’m swinging on time but it always says very early too early or early
KingLEL 215 thanks man. And sometimes I have trouble noticing offspeed pitches and fastballs
What type of screen you're using monitor/TV? That could be it
that means your swinging before the ball gets there

Yes a benq 27 inch. RL2455 or something like that.
McGuigan I wish you I could be taught quicker hand/eye coordination! 😂👍
My biggest issue is pushing my pci/left stick too hard instead of going to the ball. Always jam it one way or another.
One thing that works for me but nobody I’ve seen on RUclips does it...I use the fish eye camera. The balls just seems slower to me.

Shawn Baldwin Ok I’ll be sure to try it, thanks!
Can you go over what the three marks in pci mean? Ex: which Mark is best to line up with the ball? Thanks
Do you have a timing mechanism or you just react, I struggle and just see and hit, where should I focus on?
yea you need a really good reaction time
Look fastball, then learn to slow down for off-speed. The opposite would be look off-speed and speed up for fastball. Doesn't work.

Decent tips, but they won’t all work here in America. Not everyone gets to face Canadian pitchers every game. I give it a B+.
