Thank you very much for your help. I have been looking for such a solution to replace the factory pedal for a long time. I built it, it works. The difference is that I was able to get a 2 amp push button, for which I had to connect a 10 kOhm resistor.

Sorry to ask this, I have made a pedal like this using your guide it worked fantastic on gr5. Now I use amplitube4 and the analogue works ok but the digital buttons use note on/off which Ampli4 doesn't recognize. Any advice?
I tried changing the code to force the digital pins to use midi_general like the A1 pins but it threw compile errors and I don't understand it.
Hey, thank you very much for this video. I've been wanting to make my own foot switch setup for a long time now. I did it ages ago with an old keyboard, but I wanted to have something with a little more functionality and that would be similar to an actual pedal board setup.
I ordered everything you listed in the description and showcased in the video. The only item that gives me some level of concern is the Generic Arduino Uno. The eBay link that you posted is no longer valid. Although there are countless sellers selling various models of the Arduino. I tried to freezeframe your video to see if I could see the model #, but I didn't have much luck. Even if I ended up getting the wrong one, I can't really complain, it was like $3. I figure I'm going to make a few of these foot pedals. One with Volume/Wah, another being a loop-station, one being a tuner, another being distortion, and lastly a mismatch of chorus, reverb and flanger.
I have a friend who makes custom guitars, and it's something I would really like to get into, but I figure making pedal boards would be a good jumping off point, so I'm not wasting hundreds of dollars in wood and parts because I have no clue what I'm doing.
Hell, if you make another one similar to the one in this video, and then you stain the wood, I'm sure people would be eager to buy it. With the technology of today and dozens of amps and pedals only being a click-away thanks to VST plugins and other software, these DIY pedals may have a period of popularity.
Sorry for the rant, this stuff just gets me fired up.

I've been meaning to remake this video for the past year or so because I've come up with a few changes to make these boards higher-quality. The biggest change is that if you use an arduino pro micro, it can be programmed to show up directly as a midi device with no extra software required. I guess that it's a bit late now that you've already ordered the uno...
@@ConradMenchine Im very interested in learning more about the wirings, I'm really bad at elec stuff however I'm planning to make a Chewie II the loop pedal of edsherran, got the software part down, now only need to get MIDI input into the computer but without the need for midi through an audio interface. I just copy and paste the code from the link, but every time I got "warning: got a status byte when we were expecting 1 more data bytes, sending possibly incomplete MIDI message 0xb0" :( does anyone knows why i get that message?
