(my favorite catchphrase from Dave) The "Shush the Sheesh!" and the "Chez Monyou" screen used with the Windows cloud background based on the reviewed OS
Windows 98 Had the best Sidewinder Force Feedback 1 Serial over MIDI (joystick on audio card) drivers. Unfortunately Microsot's OverDrive patent US5628686 that powered them wasn't used much as people switched to USB joysticks soon after.
Junshu Liu also changed the My Computer and Recycle Bin icon. So i can’t fault you for thinking it was 2000 (or me). The only thing that gives it away is the vertical “Windows 98” text written on the start menu
NazmusLabs looks like a very realistic 2000 theme for 98. And yeah I didn’t notice that start menu image first. But it doesn’t look like original because they’re not in the Franklin Gothic font. The “98” looks like Arial. Was that being modified too?

Junshu Liu perhaps yes. The theme was an optional install through the community made “unofficial service pack” for 98.
