  • Create a stunning tall arrangement using a 15-inch fluted glass vase and branches from your own yard.
In this video, I gather branches from my own yard including weeping cherry and birch tree branches to design a thoughtful arrangement. Whether it's flowers or branches, creating an arrangement requires careful planning and consideration. It's not just about placing them in a vase; you need to think about trimming, height, balance, and overall aesthetics.
Using a narrow-neck vase presents a challenge as it limits the number of stems you can use, so it's important to ensure the arrangement looks full and balanced.
I decided to incorporate a third type of branch - dogwood. Despite my trees blooming slowly this year, these branches with closed buds add a unique touch to the arrangement.
I love how this arrangement showcases three stages of growth - bare birch branches, budding dogwood, and blooming weeping cherry. The final arrangement stands tall at 42 inches.
I also share a photo of a silk flower version I made featuring purple dogwood, weeping willows, and white apple blossoms. If you prefer faux arrangements or don't have time to care for live ones, consider exploring silk flower options.
