WordPress and PHP was my entry into Web Development.
But is it still an entry into web dev in 2024?
@@homecoder7816 Yep it still is. Tons of agencies vomiting out wordpress sites and someone needs to make them.
Not the most glorious job but its a start
WordPress is probably the best path not just for entry level jobs but for aspiring freelancers, too.
Imagine not panicking when your client requests a new feature because another geek already built a plugin for it.
But if he did build it before you, shouldn't you be panicking about it? Because your client might switch to him since you no longer meet his/her expectations.
@@homecoder7816 what, my client wanting a plugin instead of a website?
@@homecoder7816 but he's got me first, hiring another dev is more tedious than you think.
@@homecoder7816 the sea is vast, not all client have time too look for it. Just do the job 💪
Just got laid off from my job at the hospital I work for. Going to try shopify or wordpress for now, still going thru Joe's courses. Wish me luck and peace my brothers and sisters
Hell yeah, pops!!!!
Good luck! You'll rock it
While everyone is competing for JavaScript/front-end related jobs, the market for WordPress & PHP are wide open.
Salute to everyone saying that PHP & WordPress is trash more money for us lol.
Would you mind to connect if you have variety opportunities?
Working with wordpress cost me my brain cells, so I'd rather search for my JS job for awhile
Glad you came around my guy lol… can’t go wrong with WordPress and in my experience the demand is only growing. Plenty of money if you got the skills.
Coming from a C# Dotnet background, PHP reminds me of ASP classic which I used as my entry into web application development back in the early 2000's.
Wordpress was what got my foot in the door 💯
This was super helpful. After a bunch a bunch of rejections after losing my support engineering role, i decided i want to explore contract and wordpress development
thanksssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss so much for the unique and realistic point of view
Excellent job, thanks for sahring!
The great video.
Thank you Joe! I'm on your Content Editor course and right now was watching your "Types of CMS" video so this WordPress vid couldn't have arrived at a better time. Question.... and I know that you guys must be swamped with the promo running but can someone please help me log in to the course from my laptop? I selected "forgot password" but I have not received a link to reset it, right now I am using my mobile phone for the course. I also sent a message thru the pop up dialog box on your website but have not had a response.
Thanks so much beforehand!!
My take is do something other than sitting around and doing nothing.
Wordpress 🚀
I’m done with Wordpress lol. I will work on it when I have to, though
Could we get a WordPress job even if we don t have projects in WordPress but actual projects in react,SCSS??
Could, but why not just build some Wordpress and PHP projects?
Learning Wordpress theme development it’s pretty simple
yes! be an overemployed WordPress dev.. 😁
Well I wanted the master/ student coding training not plug and play
Phaaaaack WordPress.....i hate it ....i hate it ......aaaaaaaaaaa
papi slanging 🤣🤣😂😂
🤣
I quit wordpress a year ago, the opportunities I was getting was not to my liking. Wordpress is great but most of these small businesses are not ideal to work for/with.
Do you still have people you can connect with for those opportunities?
Wordpress clients are not the best but once you have experience you can jump ship. Now not every job is the same I know people that have been doing Wordpress the last 10 years and they not planning on switching anytime soon. It’s hit and miss
@@CodingPhaseDo you have any resources or any advice how to get started with WordPress? I have a good amount of coding experience already with Java, HTML, PHP, JavaScript and such.
@@musajunior7647I was working full time for news publication that was not doing well financially, and when I decided to leave, I left the entire industry.
@@CodingPhase Yeah, its a hit and miss. Wordpress is a nice cms with lots of jobs on the market and I do encourage people to go for the jobs. We just have to do research on companies we will work with/for.
Themes and Tamplates have been HACKED!
