I live in Edinburgh yeah it’s sadly just becoming more and more expensive each year :( it is nice though and the ride with the swings right up in the air is called the star flyer it’s 262ft tall it’s a amazing ride!
Eddy looks like an expensive place to take kids ! Always wanted to see the Christmas market but because of mobility issues couldn’t manage to walk around them , so really appreciate you sharing it with us all . Welcome back to your second home Scotland. Great video 👍
Needed a cheery face today Eddy 👍 If you do a lot of National trust places like the castle it's much cheaper to join NT and get access to them all, as many as you like for the price.
I am about an hour and a half away so visit Edinburgh throughout the year but I have never been at Christmas, mainly because I dread the crowds. I am finally going next weekend. I was at my local christmas market this week and it was eyewatering how I much I spent on a few rides for the kids. I feel sorry for people with a few kids, these markets are unaffordable for many, supposed to be the season of goodwill and these places are a total rip off. I love Edinburgh, my favourite place. Thank you for your video, excited to go now.
Looking at Glasgow Christmas market on the webcam now, it's absolutely rammed, but they squeeze everyone into one half of the square and it's all barriered off, it gives me anxiety just thinking about being there.
Missed you by about 30 hours ( was there on Wednesday?) Did not go to the market, but was in the JDWothersoon you walked past, just by the entrance. Thankyou for giving me an insight. It looked like a fantasy land.
It's such a handicap when you don't know where you're going, Eddy. You could have just continued along Princes Street and entered there - and missed out all the creepy dark area! 13 minutes in and you're only just arriving at the main part. It's too spread out: there's even more in West Princes Steet Gardens, St Andrew Square and almost all of George Street - but the casual visitor doesn't know that, as you've just proved!
The pic n mix is UNBELIEVABLE! The price I mean. I got a wee bag not even a quarter filled and it was £14 I told him nah ur all good keep it I don’t want it
Haven’t been to Edinburgh Christmas Market since Covid. Looks like less stalls there now than I remembered. The church next to the chair ride is not a church it is the Scott Monument in honour of the writer Sir Walter Scott and the chairs feel like they fly so close to it that you are gonna hit it. You should have took your girlfriend to the market and spent a fortune! The Edinburgh market is much better than the Glasgow one imo.
Eddy it’s so outrageously overpriced for average quality. It’s just a rip off but some people just seem to pay these prices so they get away with it. ✌️
Used to look forward to the Edinburgh markets and went every year but the last few years have been a total disappointment, especially with the kids bit being further down the street and away from the buzz of the rest.
Somebody remind Eddy that Xmas/New year is still a month away, which will lead to the crowd mass increasing tenfold! P.s If your going down to see the Royal Yacht Brittanica, you hop on the tram car in St Andrews Square and get off,15 mins later,at Ocean Terminal! Leith is like a mini Amsterdam and the tourists are beginning to discover it! If you want to go for a swim in the ice cold sea, then go further down to Portobello,a mini Blackpool!
Glasgow started all these celebrations we even had bon Jovi and big country playing in George Square then Edinburgh stole the idea😂 even all the big movies filmed in Glasgow, we just had the running man finish filming.... We don't see any of that money it all goes to Edinburgh....I guess they have to do underhand things when Glasgow kept winning European city of culture back in the day😂😂😂
Eddy mate if you think £3.50 for a coffee is cheap you've got more money than your letting on, McDonald's is across the road same thing half the price.
The building you keep referring to as a church is the scotts monument. The Scott Monument is a Victorian Gothic monument to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott. It is the second-largest monument to a writer in the world after the José Martí monument in Havana. Wikipedia

You should visit Dumfries and Galloway area of Scotland. It’s very much ignored by tourists but it’s well worth visiting.

Fabulous.. I was there same day as you 😀

Eddy it looks Truly Magical 😊😊
Eddy your welcome anytime wee man ❤️❤️
I love the way the trees are lit up.

You got me about 40 seconds in with your positivity Eddie. Glad you took warm stuff this time. 👍
PS: Could try a hot toddy some time.
You should have walked another 200 yards along Princes Street entrance there
Looks great but bring your own sandwich and cakes 😂
The long walk you did through the gardens is basically a bit they've set up for crowd control because the market gets BUSY in December!
Correct, it's actually a bit of a nightmare/trap, not the best idea if you ask me
"I can smell shite" xD Thanks for TMI Eddy!

Ed 👍🏻👍🏻🏴
You need to go to Berlin christmas market at some point, it's amazing
Vienna I visited one year & there market at Christmas was absolutely beautiful and not overpriced and the quality of the food was excellent. 👍
The "church" is the Scot's Monument , dedicated to Sir Walter Scot. I have been to the top.
The pic n mix is UNBELIEVABLE! The price I mean. I got a wee bag not even a quarter filled and it was £14 I told him nah ur all good keep it I don’t want it
It’s basically a rip off and the quality isn’t good. Typical of the UK cash grab and opportunistic. It’s lovely but not affordable for most people. ✌️
That church is the scots monument bud you can buy a ticket and go up it
the lights are lovely, the market... hmmm, wasn't too impressed sadly. I'd heard lovely things about it too. Betting Glasgow's miles better ;) lol.
If u think it's cold today u should have been here a few days ago 😅

Market price food is too dear ..8 pound for a hot dog ..£3
50 for a cola bottle that's 1.50 out supermarket.. rip off
👍🏼✌🏽💜

Any ornate structure to Eddy is a church haha

What an earth are you doing here ?
OVERATED AND OVERPRICED BUT THATS EDINBURGH FOR YOU.
