Great review! Absolutely concur. After using the TCA Boeing Yoke and Throttle Quadrant for the last few weeks, I can say without a doubt that the yoke is excellent. My biggest complaints come from the quadrant. My reversers respond precisely like yours (although I agree this is on MSFS 2020's end), but the overall build quality does not match the yoke's. The clamp securing the quadrant to the desk requires me to tighten it to the point that the metal begins to warp below the desk. Even tightened to such a degree, the quadrant doesn't feel nearly as secure as it should. Plus, the lack of a flaps lever, even without detents, is a cost-cutting measure that will undoubtedly leave many disappointed.
Hello!! Is there a throttle quadrant that has the detents for the flap control? Maybe I could pair this quadrant with another to create the ultimate cockpit? Thanks!!
Perfect review, very professional. Thanks a lot, subscribed! Now I've ordered the set and I'm really looking forward to use them in my next vatsim session :)
Great review ! I’ve got a GF Boeing yoke I used for my cockpit setup for Xplane 10/11 and the dimensions look about right for the TM. I will be getting it since the GF has some button problems and isn’t designed with the pendulum system as in the real ac. I too will be using the Bravo for my quad. Thanks for this review. Once I get the TM, I’ll be using it mainly for MSFS especially after pmdg releases their much anticipated 737. Hopefully it’s as good or better than zibos. Tho that may be close to impossible! Zibo has done excellent work on that ac! Cheers
For reverse thrust in msfs just use the same as the f2 button on the keypad decrease throttle and to cancel reverse briefly open and shut the throttles. This is for the PMPG 737.
amazing review patrick, proper information( although I didnt understand the 65536 because I am not a full on airliner pilot just a highschool student XD) . You killed it man!
Same bro I'm a freshman and all I have is a Logitech X-52 Professional of which I wish to have independent flight peripherals for airliners and general aviation.
65536 has nothing to do with being an airline pilot. That number basically means how many points the computer has to sense movement on the yoke. Hope this helped
Nice review! LOL for the crazy throttle jumps in FS 2020. Glad to see Thrustmaster have done a decent job in terms of build quality, at least with the yoke. Shame they did a little too much cost-cutting (I guess) with the throttle. I would have considered buying this kit if the throttle was a complete unit - with 6 axes (1 x flaps, 1x spoilers, 2 x thrust and 2 x reverse thrust). I wonder if the community are going to be modding this, fixing some of the shortcomings with 3D prints and custom electronics.
Yes that quad would be nice with it. The only thing this Boeing one left me wanting on the Bravo is bigger handle grips. I might pick up some aftermarket handles now.
Just an idea for you that i thought of, use the landing gear lever on this yoke as parking brake and landing gear on the bravo as the actual gear lever
Great First Look/Review Pat. I can't remember if you have the Honeycomb Bravo or not. If you do, what do you think of how the throttles compare to the Bravo? I'm quite interested in the Yoke, less so in the throttle unit. I second @Death Donky interest in follow up/long term review. -Lee
I'm having a lot of fun with my Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke and Throttle. Nothing wrong with the throttle quadrant IMHO and I prefer it to the Honeycomb, as it looks nice, does not take up much space and functions as it should.
I see on you video you also have a deadzone. Strange how you dont mention this. I did also buy a TCA but after detecting a deadzone on both x- and y-axis I returned it and got back my money. Even tried a firmware update first... A deadzone simply makes a joystick or yoke useless for me as you would not find that in any real aircraft. Fly safe ....
Nice video mate. What do you think about the deadzone? Is it as bad as on the honeycomb? I want to combine it with the Thrustmaster Airbus Throttle Quadrant.
I've had my thrustmaster TPR pedals for a while, and if they came with a cable to plug into this, I would have misplaced it. What kind of cable is used to plug the pedals in? (I have the boeing tca pack on order, but it hasn't shipped yet).
It's a small thing, but it sure is a shame they didn't include the approach chart clip :( I assumed it was functional, so thanks for the heads up - other videos skipped over it.
Thank you for a nice review. Toggle/hold reverse thrust is the MSFS 2020 update 7 bug. Before it worked normally. I have to use decrease throttle instead. Could you please measure the yoke desk clamp dimensions? What ist the maximum desk thikness it can handle? Thank you.
Looks great except for the throttle quadrant not having flaps (detents) or TO/GA buttons. Also the reverser input just being a button instead of an axis. I'm curious how the yoke feels with other GA aircraft in MSFS? Trying to decide between this and honeycomb yoke. (Don't forget to deploy the speedbrake upon landing).
This was an incredible review!! You didn’t really cover the buttons located below the throttle levers. Do they light up? Stay depressed when pushed or pop up? Thanks!!
I'm pretty disappointed with the reverse levers though. They have no detents so it's either full reverse or idle throttle. It'd be great if they could add that in the future.
@@harrisonknight2562 This is also the problem with companies like FS elite. They are distributors and Have to say nice stuff so they can make money regardless of selling dogshit to us
In MSFS you can map the reverse buttons to “Hold Reverse Throttle” then use the throttle axes to set reverse throttle power. When you flip the reverse switches back, the throttle again acts as the throttle.
Hello guys! Im using mfs2020 on my xbox does anyone know how to setup the flaps on the tca quadrant? And do you guys know if i use dubble quadrant on the xbox does they both work Or only single one?
I have the alpha yoke which when compared to CH products is nice but it still suffers when trying to fine tune inputs while landing that I hope will not be a problem with this yoke.
Shouldn’t be a problem for you if coming from CH. This yoke has a much high resolution on Hall effect sensors, meaning it’s going to pick up very fine movements.

Anyone else having a problem with the throttle quadrant turn dial. As it's always in either speed, heading or altitude mode this then cause flightsim to think that button is being pressed continually and it then causes the heading, speed and altitude windows to go up and down in 10s rather than 1s
Yes exactly, I don't know how in the video are the settings, but I have only one quadrant and I can't chose to select altitude or heading or IAS, once I assigned the button them the knob will only works for heading, I havr to go to the settings each time which is not the case, the knobs is not working properly
I have one on pre-order, just wondering if I should order another boeing quadrant throttle. Or perhaps I'll just use it with the Bravo Quadrant instead.
The Bravo is great. As I was telling someone else. This Boeing quad made me want larger handles for the Bravo, which they do sell. I think I'm going to pick some up.
My Mach/HDG/Alt rotating outer knob is very "crunchy" instead of a smooth click to each station, Is this normal? Its almost like TM doesnt have any real gamers working there, just college grads with laptops. The gear lever needed to be a three way switch. They only put three levers so you will have to buy another throttle just for the one more they could have put on the first one, lol.
