Of course Shelly is old in her sport at age 36 years which is a testament to her longevity, success & legendary status. Most will not be able to be in the game successfully as long as Shelly. The average retirement for track is late twenties . To be performing & knocking down medals at Championships at her age is phenomenal. From first impression alone I was turned off and was team everybody else. After watching her first interview this year she has grown tremendously. Her sportsmanship has changed full 360 you can see the work she has put in mentally and physically. I hope to see more great things from her.

I think it’s to much to expect a 19 year old to come out of the block as mature. We put to much pressure on kids to get it right when they don’t even fully understand who they are yet.
