I'm in a geofiction interaction project with a few friends where we have several fictional countries interacting with one another and we even met some new people to join us along the way. We even created our own flags and languages. It's a pretty fun hobby, but it does require some creativity and preferably some drawing skills and story writing. But yeah, it's a thing with a name, and there are multiple platforms you can participate in. Nice to see some other people having the same hobby. _The more you know..._

The Portuguese flag on that old collection is the Monarchist flag, so either the collection is from before 1911 (we became a republic in late 1910 and changed the flag in 1911), or they didn't bother to update the design or were unaware of the change.
Wind turbines can be placed at sea, which is actually the preferred place, since sea farms are more predictable and less hampered by terrain. Doesn't mean that Kiribati have any suitable areas, but palm trees getting in the way, and lack of land, is not a complete argument against them.

I heard and I do know that it is symbolising the bloodshed in Kiribati many years ago where our ancestors fight to each different tribes and voyage to another island and fight just to rule the place but according to the flag, there's a bird that is not a frigate but a sign of peace here in Kiribati and it is symbolising peace where our people are no longer fight to rule another place but lived peacefully and for the Red as well I think it's related a little to the Tarawa Battlefield during WWII. That's all from my site and I do comment with confidence 😁 Edit* lol I also remember that the sunrays in that flag is wrong because we know that the sunrays should 33 all of them as Kiribati Islands are 33 all of them as well. Yeah and for those three words under the flag, those words are Crowns here in Kiribati, it is mainly use to the very Important Person by crowning them traditionally (it's a traditional thing) and it is not about the real crown but as we know crowns are for Queens/Kings you know and thus those words are the Crowns of our Island Nation Kiribati but those words only used by Government Sectors along with the flag right above them which is meant that the Government is our King and Queen (For you know that the flag crown was already placed by the presence of those 3 words and also we are independent that's why we King and Queen our Government) and I think there's more about the flag but my discussion ends here for I am not really sure about the rest.
