Good story. Keep this exact energy going. Some ridiculous ppl in these comments see this as harsh. I actually consider this to be a rather bare minimum human reaction. Main character kept everything completely legal, and everyone is alive & well enough. This could've been sooooo much worse, if Atlas had a mind (and the stomach) to take it there. Betrayal on this scale should always earn thoroughly scornful reprisal. The social contract is so broken bc too many ppl escape true consequences for their actions. This is simply never the case for most men. I know damn well what awaits me should I color too far outside the lines, and I accept it as the cost of operating in the society in which we live. Most women have no such expectation, and children generally get a pass. The idea of "being the bigger man" or "taking the high road" is generally never truly expected from anyone other than aggreived men. Until these scales balance some, said aggrieved men should treat everyone that wrongs them to this degree as the malicious enemy they obviously are. You don't appease ppl trying to destroy you. That never works. You must ruin them... completely. It's the "safest" choice for you. We used to understand this. Somewhere along the line, we lost the thread, and the social contact has suffered tremendously for it.

This story makes no sense that even the characters point it out. Atlas questions his son, and not even he can explain what is going on. The fck you mean you're in a polygamous relationship with your own mother?

This story is a bit unusual in a couple of aspects.
The level of betrayal is a bit more pronounced than usual in this story and is more unambiguous and inappropriate. Engaging in infidelity is naturally inappropriate in and of itself, but this time the AP of a 42-year-old cheating woman is an 18-year-old kid, still in high school, who cheats with both older males and females (he is apparently BI).
The AP has relationships with the 42-year-old wife, the gay son of the betrayed man AND with a MALE high school teacher.
Most interestingly, and quite rare in cheating stories, the cheated on spouse engages in no-holds-barred scorched-earth revenge. Very refreshing, really.
Irritatingly, MOST cheating stories have the betrayed spouse being very careful and measured in their response to the betrayal, careful NOT to carry their response to the betrayal "too far". I have always found this annoying and stupid.
The ethos SEEMS to be that while betrayal is bad, revenge is also bad no matter HOW much damage has been done to the innocent spouse. Somehow, betrayed spouses, who have had their hearts cut out and their souls crushed, are always obliged to be reasonable in their response. Every attorney and detective et al. engaged by the betrayed spouse constantly admonishes the poor c**k about how irreversible certain steps are and is there no possibility of reconciliation and blah blah blah. Very tiresome.
The betrayed husband in THIS story goes completely scorched earth on his cheating wife AND on the gay son who made a habit of covering for his cheating mother on numerous infidelities, not just her current 18-year-old AP.
For myself, this story was most refreshing and stands out notably in the cheating genre.
"Cut 'em off at the knees", I always say.

A friend of my father who got married at 18 did something very like this in the 1970s after his wife cheated and his daughter covered up for her. His ex wife remarried a pastor after finding god and became a born again christian. She really changed and everyone loved her and she gave her new husband twin daughters and until her death they were blissfully happy His daughter married and had four kids. She is still married and has 6 grandkids last i heard. The husband never remarried and stewed in his hate until he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He then realised he had destroyed his own life and tried to reach out to his daughter to mend fences. He had been so vindictive and so evil to them when he and his ex wife divorced that she despised him and refused to meet him or talk to him. She told him to never contact her again. He left all his money in a trust fund for his grandkids to be given to them when the youngest turned 30 with instructions to not tell his daughter or grandkids until they came of age.I think the mother was 17 and pregnant when they got married and the daughter was 12 or 14 when her mother cheated .Not sure.

All your comment reaffirms is society has always been too lenient on terrible women, and unjustly harsh towards decent men. Hopefully, with enough men seeing the reality of what the world & many women have always been, this will begin to balance out. Let's be honest, none of this bs ever happens without simp backing. So, the solution is simple. Gotta get rid of the simps, one way, or another.

@Vipershadow1 He is a messed up kid. His mother is screwing his gay lover. How does that work? Gay guys don't have affairs with women. He is happy his boyfriend is s screwing his mother? Does that sound like a normal mother, son relationship? He needs intensive therapy. How about the mother who is having sex with her gay son's boyfriend. Does that sound normal?
