Love that you’re showing your technique on such a dark canvas to give people an understanding of how talented you are!!! It’s hard work and you did amazing 😍😘
Your videos are by far the best. I’ve watched a million videos but you provide detailed simply steps that aren’t skipped or sped up. Thank you. I’ve been attempting to do this for over a year but was skeptical. I’m ready now thanks to you. I just subscribed.
Maybe I'm juvenile, but I couldn't help but smile when she said "more better" 3 times in 30 seconds. 🤭 But seriously- great tutorial. Very informative & beautiful results! 💜
Beautiful work! I was wondering if you could do a salon equipment video for stylists? What are your favorites or go to equipment as in combs, foils, brushes, clips, etc? I love seeing inside peoples stations. Lol
I’ve been researching balayage techniques on RUclips and am so happy I found your videos! Yours are by far the most beautiful yet the easiest to do! Seriously these are all amazing!
Can you start mentioning how long it takes you to do your clients? As in foiling, applying and/or the whole service. I am really iffy and discouraged about my timing and I think it would be helpful to know how long things usually take you. Thank you :) your videos have taught me so much!!
You are amazing Ashley! 😍 Could you possibly do a video on tips on how you handle the teasing out of hair when shampooing or products used after to avoid a lot of tangles 🤓
I can honestly as a dark haired olive skined girl say in over 6 yrs looking on YT for a starter on how to go from dark to blonde THIS is the FIRST VIDEO I've found closest to my own color, i wish you have shown how light you bleached her foils though, and the Matrix add on 👏🤗💞 some show the right darkness..and the video is of them hopping in the car to go to a salon /get their nails done 😕 I didn't learn anything!gr I unintentionally have grown it out for 5/6 yrs and now really see how dark it is lol tested a piece w 20 vol and it lifted SO GOOD, I understand the whole virgin hair thing now, thank for sharing
Me encanta tus técnicas. Mi primer balayage que hice fue mirando tus videos y me salio fabuloso. Lastima que hables Inglés y yo no entienda nada jaja pero igual me sirvió mucho. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷😊
Question from a current cosmo student, why do you consider this a 'balayage highlight' and not a 'teasylight with a shadow root/root melt/root tap(depending on the amount of root left out)?' To my understanding a balayage is natural hand painting with an organic hand blended diffused line but I see you used the teased area as your soul blending agent. How do they differ for you and what is the difference in the price you charge for the two services? Im thinking about renting a salon suite after graduating as well as working as an assistant part time to futher my education before fully stepping out on my own, any tips/ advice? Sorry I have hella questions lol and love what you're doing girl!
Honestly it’s the same thing I just put that as the title of the video 😅 that’s the thing is everyone has A different understanding of balayage but yes that is the correct definition for it at the end of the day I guess it really doesn’t matter on what you call it.. I geuss I should’ve put that. Teasy light/ balayage highlights I feel like are the same thing. The only thing I did was just the root smudge But I understand I gotta be a little more specific in the titles. But I will definitely do a video on those questions! Thank you for asking!
Just wanted to know if you used 30 vol just on the back and side foils and higher vol on top and face framing? Looked great but, you mention 45mi -60mi the lightner was left on without heat, i assume. Or did the top just get heat. That is where I have my issues. Thanks 😊
Why is every professional hairstylist cutting off on the money piece! you did a great job, teasing action was great, the front is probably the most important piece. Would love another video, concentrating the frontal piece. Much love
Hi Ashley I'm new in your channel, and I really love your work, I'm not a stylist, but I want to try at home by miself, I have a question, how long you left the toner? and if I have dark hair like your client, the toner change the roots too?? or I have to apply a diferent colour first?, Thanks for your time! Take care and keep it up!
Her hair came out amazing! 😍 You did phenomenal! 🙌🏽 What ethnicity is the client? She has a lot of hair but it appears her hair is medium course level. I know Hispanic people have thick hair usually all around and it takes awhile to lift. On the other hand, Asians and Middle Easterners also have thick hair, but their hair lifts quicker and easier than Hispanics. So I wanted to know if ethnicity made a difference on lifting.
Very nice 👍 I was blonde for the longest time and got tired of it. I’m brunette and love it. But after seeing this, makes me miss the beautiful blonde. You did a great job :)
It is not hard if you use the proper products and keep a routine. It does create certain damge in the hair, but the products and the rutin, will help you to keep it healthy
What does 'freehanded painted technique' mean when looking for a balayage service? Does that mean they use foils like you recommended? This will be my first time going to get my hair done - balayage. Thanks.
Hey veronica!! So normaly balayage is a free hand technique with no foils. You take v sections of hair and paint the surface I swept motions or in vs or ws and the tips underneath....what she did we call a foilyage . So it's very similar except we can get precise looks and brighter results because the foils cause heat. When someone is a master In balayage they typically handpainted (no foils). She did the foilyage technique which I as a hairstylist do all the time. You can get super natural results or a very bright results. When silt comes to balayage the possibilities are endless. And depending where you go a blayage can be between 150 to 400$.
I love how it came out 😍! For the the roots, did you use color or toner? If yes which one did you use? Also did you use different colors for roots and tips? Sorry so many questions, but thanks in advance 😊
i’m currently trying to get something almost exactly like this except more thicker of the highlights. but i have no idea how to tell a hairstylist since i haven’t gotten my hair dyed ever before.
Great results.. thanks for being so informative and sharing your experience/ opinions on WHY you did things this way or that way. It was a lot easier to understand than a lot of these videos.
Amazing I just subscribed your channel.i am ready to do my hair exactly the same way you did and with same products.thanks a million to share this vedio as I have black hair and I want highlights..could you please tell me how much redken colours you used equall amount how many grams?
This looks amazing. I’ve always wanted this hair as I have dark virgin hair but my stylist always makes it super orange at the top then it fades to the grayish blonde.
I also have dark virgin hair and going to get a balayage soon. But I am worried about after effects of hair dye. I dont want my hair to get much damaged. Can you suggest something?? :(
Ask her to do a root shaddow or root melt. root shadows help cancel out the harsher orangey yellow tones towards the roots. :) also retoning every 5 weeks is essential.
Love your videos..!! I like when you show the toners you use am still trying to understand the redken toners.. i would love a fall colors that everyone is asking for 😊
Have you ever tried Colorcharm T18? If you apply and watch closely it will tone out your “warm” shades and gently ash the hair. Don’t leave it more than a few minutes or you’ll have purple to grey hair. Works like a charm.
I really want to go back to light hair. I used to have bleached blonde hair. I don't have virgin black hair anymore. Wonder how it'll turn out with the bleach blonde underneath my died black hair
Why blow that cuticle wide open and push it to a 8-9 when you are going for a level 7? Why not gently lift it to a 7 and tone out the brassiness, less damage to the hair? Idk just a thought…Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Hey girl may i ask whats your foil placement/technique? I feel i always struggle with balyage. I notice for the most part you tease but you weave big pieces and slice am i right?? Thank you for your videos they have helped me so much!
I want to get a balayage and I have black hair. I’ve never done anything to it like highlights or bleaching it. But what would the average cost for to get a balayage for the first time? It would really be helpful to know. :) bc I’m thinking about doing this, it would be something new to my hair.
I want that done to my hair but the lady at the salon said it would take along time and many appointments, I also have dark brown hair short, what was the total time for this?
Wow the result looks amazing!! I also have virgin hair and going to get a balayage soon. But I am worried about after effects of hair dye . I don’t want to get my hair much damaged please suggest something :(
