Thanks! I’m a slow nail tech on average it takes me 2.5hrs to do a set. It can be way less or wayyyyy more depending on how much work needs to be put in with art/repairs/polishing/designing.
I love your work, I hope to be a great nail tech like you. I am getting my license in August. I started doing some of the steps you do and it works great. Models I’ve done nails on still have them on and it’s been a month.

I love the attention you give to the cuticles the finish look is beautiful mines all wide it’s not dainty and feminine looking like I prefer. Love this set. Yes, extra gel necessary for stones. I've lost three or four already. I didn't want to add a ton of gel because I thought it would make the nail bulky. I put builder gel, then gel topcoat, then placed the stones. Smh. Lol. Lesson learned. I've seen it done this way with other techs, but it didn't work for me this time.
You should try Zulays nail glue. If you put a lot of stone's like all over the nail you don't have to use top coat cause the glue has a high shine to it. So far it's working for me and i wear a lot of 4d art and stones.

I’ve always loved your Watch me Work videos! I was excited to see it in my inbox, thank you for making one! Oh my word, Girl! You hit the nail in the head about the the laws being vague because no one cares about nail techs!!!! Drives me bananas being the red haired step child of the beauty business. All the way down to even the supply stores. CosmoProf carries 3/4 of one aisle for products and it’s all OPI and Gelish, most of that is just polish. California doesn’t give a rats butt either.

Yes, the entire beauty industry seems to be somewhat forgotten, even hairstylists having to do a million rod sets in school and for testing, it’s good to know and understand but get with the times! It’s like they made the tests/laws in 1987 and haven’t touched them again lol I do agree with nail supplies being left out of a lot of pro stores...they should just be called professional hair supply stores because that’s basically all most of them cater to.

They have Caption polish on sale to get rid of it and everything else Young Nails can only be ordered online. He always says in his videos to go to CosmoProf for their products and I just can’t. I’d love to be able to resupply or take advantage if their promos without paying a ton in shipping costs and waiting a week. I felt bad dropping that on him but he needs to know.
Hello Thabita just joined your channel this week, so far I'm in love with your work. I've seen you apply 2 layers of top coat top your nails. My question is; do you wipe the sticky layer before you reapply protein bond and the 2nd top coat or do to use a no wipe top coat?
☺️ Thanks for joining! I use a no-Wipe for that technique. It’s easy to apply 2 coats of top coat that has a tacky layer...the tacky layer of the 1st coat helps the 2nd coat stick. That’s the reason I only use this method with no-wipe top coats 👌🏾 Hope that helps!
Wait wait wait wait. I'm in Texas, Houston to be exact. Where bout are you in Texas? I have my nails on for 5 weeks, and my nails neeeeever look that good. Infact, there is some major lifting happening, and my real nails start to bend beneath the acrylic and causes pain if I grab something the wrong way. If your nails look that good after 5 weeks, maybe I need to go to you!
Oh noo. It could be down to how fast your nails are growing too. It sounds like you are waiting too long for a balance and fill which you should get around every 4 weeks.
@@nunpho This is true! I should probably get them re-done every 3 weeks, but I'm not the one paying for this service. So when they decide when to go to the nail salon, I go. I am also wondering if the quality of the product is up to par.
+Indiegirl007 it puts a lot of extra pressure etc on your nail bed if they are grown out and long. If you can't get to a salon that's ok, see if you can find some clippers for nail extensions and shorten them. It will be a lot safer than leaving them long and unbalanced :). What makes you curious about your salons safety? I do my own nails but the best way to know what to look out for is to educate yourself on what a good nail tech should be doing, that's why RUclips tutorials and videos by professionals are so great. Two of my faves are nail career education and the nail hub but search how to find a good nail salon on yt and there are lots of good tips
