I remember pitcher Steve Stone tore his rotator cuff and then came back to win the Cy Young Award! 👍👍👍

Well, thank you. I do have my days. lol It's just really important to me to brush pity parties aside and get out there whenever possible. Doing that lowers my stress level and makes life more manageable.

Everyone tells me that listening to the doctors and physical therapist makes the difference. I hope his recovery goes smoothly.

Sweet Gayle, my left shoulder has dislocated nine times -- not for the last eight years, thank the Good Lord -- so I have a full and well sense of that situation. My sister -- Hallie Wilson -- does a lot of sports judging and has had a lot of experience with these issues. (She is a DO and now retired.) I think you and John are temperamentallly quite compatible. Shoulder surgery is very crippling for the first weeks. And -- as you point out -- very unexpectedly so.

A realistic evaluation and planing can do wonders. I hope you did well after surgery.

@@BeBodacious So true. Yep made a full recover although that arm gets tired quicker than the other one if I'm doing something repetitive and I can't bring it over my head to lay flat on the floor (if I'm on the floor that is!) but there's no pain or discomfort so that's the main thing.

It's great that you are out of pain. Functioning was the catalyst for my surgery. It got to the point where after we got back my arm would just quit working for a while. Your comment has reinforced My Hope that things will get better. Thank you for that. Have a blessed day.

Thank you so much for visiting and liking the video. Thank you even more for coming aboard!! Valerie Reese is coordinating the schedule. My idea was to do a day of vlogging to help steer the conversation on RUclips toward something positive. Pet Monster came up with the # createnothate. He came back with the idea to help the homeless that Valerie works with. Granny helped put us all together. So it may have sort of started with me but nothing would have happened without people getting on board. The big winners are the kids and families that get help.
I cant tell you what it means to have you aboard!! Please get in touch with Valerie if you've not already done so. She will be delighted to hear from you. 💙💙💙

It's all one day at a time. But, I am a huge believer in doing whatever you can to keep a positive mindset and enjoy life. I can't do all things well, but I can do my best to enjoy well all the things that I can do.

My husband and I keep going back and forth on the decorating. I might keep it minimal this year and just enjoy the quietness of the season. We'll see. Of course, like any woman I may change my mind a dozen times before we figured this out. LOL

It's okay. I got to Alaska and back before having the surgery. It did get to the point where my arm would quit working for a little while though. Now that it's better, I have to plan more places to travel. Life's too short to sit at home!
