- After numerous requests we decided to do another Atmos mix while you're waiting for us to finish a new cover version. This one is of ABBA's When You Danced With Me from their latest album Voyage. We will upload more as we finish them.
We used the Dolby Atmos version of the song and did a new mix with more prominent vocals as well as louder backing vocals and harmonies.
We also extended the song a little because it is such a good song and the original is much too short.
Enjoy! - Видеоклипы
This song was crying out for an extra verse and key change. Much as I love Voyage, there were some very bizarre choices made on the songs - there were also others that needed an extra verse, key change or more majestic ending. Plus the muddy mixing was unforgivable, hence why your Atmos mixes are very welcome!
The mixing is bad on this album, the brightness and clarity is not there, the vocals especially the lead vocals on many tracks feel burried in the vocal harmonies, also some vinyl pressings are even at the wrong speed too slow.
@@AGNETHAFALTSK0G Agree.
Agree about the mixing on the album and also the muddy vocals in the Voyage show. The instruments were plenty loud, great. But I was there for the singers too. Could not really break through.
@@s.anderson823 it was like this when you went too? The vocals sound can you explain as I wondered about it .
@@AGNETHAFALTSK0G I loved the show. But I missed the essential element of Frida's and Agnetha's voice 'reaching out' and hitting me. Even at concerts with really loud rock music (for example Big Country, or Roger Daltry) big sound, big rock music, the lead singers' voices carried through. I don't know technically what the term is, but I've been to numerous countless live performances (it was a thing I strived to do when I was in my 20s and 30s). I didn't get the feeling from Frida's and Agnetha's voices like I've done from other lesser talents. Probably due to the fact that my two favorite singers were virtual! Ah well. I love them nonetheless, and I love the Voyage project. I wondered while in the London concert with my ears starting to ring with the volumeincreasing from the live band, whether or not they could have inched up the vocals from Frida and Agnetha. It might have simply been a matter of doing that. I wondered if I'd experienced something like that had I gone on a different day. Is this how you experienced it?
Frida's voice again dominates the mix!...What a power she has!
no she shouts
@@frederictonnon4602 ...Ha ha. ha
..we all know you love Frida ...! :-))))))))))
@frederictonnon4602 oh dear. What a desperate comment. The final recording mix is what B & B wanted so challenge them LOL
The guitars!!!
Hoorah! A “Tretow-ish” version of this very short song. What was Benny thinking when it was edited to under 3 minutes. It deserved to be a 4 minute song.
@ABBADiego i absolutely agree.
@@AGNETHAFALTSK0G well i personally wouldn't swap i would just add and keep them all..Or even maybe put LT as a special release on a double A sided vynil with Happy new Year for Xmas period.
Stunning! That's the way it SHOULD have been! Also 3:09 wow!Royal honey for the bees.
I love this song. The clarity in this version is amazing and just seems to make it more…..ABBA.
You did an EXCELLENT job. This should have been the official final release! The extented verse was right on place and time!!!!not to mention the 'plus' on the 3:09 bit!BRAVO!
I love it. The instrumentals are so clear now, i've never heard thos guitars on the CD before
Those guitars are very prominent in one the Atmos channels. I tried to make it a bit more quiet but couldn't so I just left it like that.
This is great. Thanks for returning to the Atmos mixes of Voyage.
Hope you like it!
@@TheJnWChannel Yes, just like the earlier ones you guys did, it's amazing. There's so much more depth to the sound now. It brings out the richness in ABBA's production even more. Looking forward to hearing what you can do with the remaining tracks.
And we're waitin' for No Doubt About It & Ode To Freedom Atmos Mixes - these tracks are quintessention of Frida's vocal skills - the lowest chest notes in Ode To Freedom make my heart beat slower!
Such a great mix, much better levels of the ladies voices.
Agree Lukas and i feel grateful for all the mixes these guys did. This one is an extented pleasure and btw i have both Voyage and the Super Trouper album on repeat for Xmas festive period.
ABBA 4-ever
Btw One more perfect choice to add in my Xmas list cause of its festive mood.Your own particular mix.
So pleased you added that refrain which I sure SHOULD be there! Actually on mine I had the "when you danced with me" refrain before the chorus repeat and then shortened the final keyboard outro to delete it, which makes it sound less repetitive. So it would jump from 3:04 to 3:14. It's perfection then!
But you know how much I love your atmos uploads, and your covers! - Alex
Jeez, there is really so much more going on in that song. I wonder why many of these backing vocals were so buried in the final mix.
It’s also a good idea you extended the song, I always thought a chorus repetition with nothing but vocals and drums would have been cool, to give the song a sort of sing- and dance-along stadium feeling, reminiscent of We Will Rock You.
I've always thought the same. Many other songs in the album could have benefited from a longer and musical bridges edition
Thank youuuuuuu,amazing job
Love this to bits
3:09 I’ve looked through each of the Atmos channels and just cannot find that unusual harmonising, is that Agnetha and Frida or an “added” harmony? It’s driving me nuts searching the centre, rear, front Atmos channels for it but I just don’t know where that is buried!
It is only in our mix. I used some trickery to add a little something extra that I felt was missing from the original.
Is this longer version really on the vinyl version of the album?
No it isn't. We extended it for your listening pleasure.
Is that vocal harmony at around 3:10 in the original atmos files or is it a bit of trickery that you’ve added?
I took some "artistic license" to make it more interesting.
@@TheJnWChannel , yes, indeed!
Good mix . Love both ladies voices , only thing I don’t like is frida has become rather shouty .
totally agree, you hear that on No Doubt About It too.. it sounds flat.
Thanks guys for another great mix!!!! Hope you are both doing well!!!!!
