Rodgers has had one good defense for a whole season, when they finished 2nd in the league... and they won the Superbowl. Rodgers usually plays well in NFC Championships, but the defense loses the game in most cases. In fact, last year, if I remember accurately, Rodgers had better stats than Brady in the NFC Championship.
