Jake is a real one, it’s a shame that he wasn’t on contact with OP and like a true bro would’ve probably told him about degenerate Brian and scumbag Tom’s plan of ruining his marriage. But hey at least it ended on a high note with OP having good terms with Sara, and that’s probably the good ending we’ll probably get, that’s unless degenerate Brian gets in contact with Sara and all hell will break loose. Regardless of the manipulation, Sara was at fault. Tom was a bad houseguest/roommate/tenant, whatever the financial situation. All of these bring with them a required level of common courtesy and respect, which brother Tom neglected to show. Sara's siding with him against her husband and the homeowner is unacceptable.

I also notice they tend to have movie endings, like guy gets the girl and inherits millions or some Pollyanna ending where everyone forgives everyone. It’s unrealistic cause in life things don’t just get wrapped up in a tidy bow
