    Such a clear, calming and straight forward tutorial! I wonder about the size (width and length) of the rug and also the total length of used yarn.

    • @aworkofcraft
      @aworkofcraft  3 года назад

      The size is 1 1/2 ft x 2 ft and I used the two pkgs shown. If you want a bigger rug, use more yarn. Customize it to you.

    I modified this pattern a bit to give the mat more squish and it really works well! Just work the puff so it has 10 loops before you seal it.

    I think I got it : The piece attached to rug you cut and the piece adding you cut also. Then, insert the cut end of adding piece into the cut of the attached piece. Then take uncut end of adding piece and insert into the cut of the adding piece.

    Can it be machine washed and dried? I am looking for a cotton inside door rug that I can beat out the dirt n wash and dry it once a while. I am tired of polypropylene rugs.

      Yes, you can machine was, but do it in cold water and low heat for dryer.

    I realize this is an older vid. I've never seen that yarn. It appears as tubular? Or do my eyes deceive me? What is the fabric content? Natural or acrylic? Yardage and where available, now? Thx, LYNDA in It.
    Great tutorial, btw. 🤔

    • @aworkofcraft
      @aworkofcraft  6 лет назад +2

      Its a cotton and nylon blend and it is tubular. What I like about it is that it does not frill. It is available in Walmart and Michaels

    • @aworkofcraft

  • @1974angiemae

    Can this be made with Bernet blanket yarn?

    • @aworkofcraft
      @aworkofcraft  6 лет назад +1

      You can make it with anything, however I find that the yarn I used is smooth and flat, there is no fuzzies as with other type of yarn and its also machine washable. It turns out better and is more durable .

  • @annhulett2392

    How about using acrylic yarn?

    • @aworkofcraft
      @aworkofcraft  5 лет назад +1

      I suppose you can use any yarn you want, however I find that this yarn does not frill like some acrylics do. Whatever yarn you choose, make sure that it does not frill. It has to look solid.

    • @aworkofcraft

      It is 1 1/2 ft x 2 ft. If you want a bigger rug, just add more chain to the desired length, then just add more rows. You will need more yarn.

    Here's a written pattern for those of us who put down our projects for too long. I made this project and it turned out great. But be careful to count your puffs and get that last stitch before you turn.
