Love love love Kix - saw their second to last show in MN - short set - but still sick - and made a trip to see them on a rock cruise and they stole the show - met the whole band and they were all very grateful and loving life
Great, great show guys !! As was said, the entire KIX catalog is awesome & there's not one of their songs that I dislike in any way. With that being said, I do have a favorite KIX song. Drumroll please...The last song on the Hot Wire album..."Hee Bee Jee Bee Crush"...It's high octane, in your face with a killer groove. Love it !! Thanks for another great watch !!!!!
Awesome vid! Kix is one of my favorite bands, so this was near impossible for me to pick just 10. Here they are in no particular order: -She Dropped Me The Bomb -Midnite Dynamite -Yeah, Yeah, Yeah -Cold Shower -Blow My Fuse -Hot Wire -Bang Bang (Balls of Fire) -The Itch -Cold Blood -Rock & Roll Overdose Honorable Mentions: Layin' Rubber, Lie Like a Rug, Poison, Atomic Bombs, Heartache, Love Pollution, Body Talk, Mighty Mouth, Nice on Ice, Restless Blood, Cry Baby, Sex, Red Lite Green Lite TNT, Don't Close Your Eyes, Walkin Away, Dirty Boys, Same Jane, Cool Kids, Piece of the Pie, Girl Money, No Ring Around Rosie, Get it While It's Hot. P.S. Guru, I checked out Gear Daddies and really liked all 3 albums, definitely will be listening to them more often!
Great list, Matt! And glad you checked out Gear Daddies! Billy's Live Bait is probably my favorite album of theirs, but everything they do is great. They got signed to a major label for that album, played Letterman, and then broke up shortly after. They're revered in North Dakota & Minnesota. Thanks, Matt, I appreciate you!!
This is James Anthony great episode Kixs is so underrated its pathetic my top 10 list is 1. Cold Blood 2. Cold Shower 4. Body Talk 5 Girl Money 6. Dont Close Your Eyes 7. Tear Down The Walls 8. 911 9. Midnite Dynamite 10. Cold Chills Keep up the great work Anthony Keep on rockin always got your back my brother
Got into Kix late in the game but now with RUclips we can enjoy all these bands that they did not play on radio or MTV in the day. Great content Anthony. Yeah, yeah,Yeah!
I always get iTunes gift cards from family and such , Christmas and such . I’ll pile up the cards in the account and sometimes just start exploring bands stuff . Did it with Kix awhile back , bought a song callled For Shame , that I played over and over again for weeks .
one of my bucket list items was to see kix live, but alas, that won't happen. kix had one of the best live album's...EVER. that 1993 release was absolutely killer!
10. Rock n, roll overdose : Hot Wire 9. Layin' Rubber : Midnight Dynamite 8. Body Talk : Cool Kids 7. Get it while it's hot : Blow My Fuse 6. No Ring Around Rosie : Blow My Fuse 5. Yeah, yeah, yeah : Kix 4. Cold Blood : Blow My Fuse 3. Bump the la la : Hot Wire 2. Girl Money : Hot Wire 1. She Dropped Me the Bomb : Blow My Fuse

Great list, Brother! But... no "Cold Blood"? Holy shit! haha, just messin' with you, man. Hey, I really appreciate the support you give the channel, man, I mean that!
@@HairMetalGuru419 Yeah it's probably like #13, RnR overdose, Cold Shower then Cold Blood for me. Great song but I'm just totally hooked on the Hot Wire album. All bangers no clangers
I saw KIX many times and they were always great. The first time was at the Cap Centre (an arena) opening for Aerosmith on the "Rock in the Hard Place" tour. Aerosmith were good, but Steven Tyler was a mess. KIX were supporting the "Cool kids" album. KIX were great and blew Aerosmith off the stage. Every time I hear "For Shame", it takes me back me back to that show. The band members were in chairs 15 feet up the air playing that song. However, the best place to see KIX play was at a club. I saw them at the Reseda Country Club supporting "Midnight Dynamite" and people just lost their minds especially during the song "Sex". KIX were great in clubs, arenas. and at M3. SOOOOOOO GREAT!!!
Guru - You really need to give Rock Your Face Off a couple of listens. I've always been a big Kix fan, I have all their stuff, and I have to tell you, Rock Your Face Off is highly underrated. It's every bit as good as Blow My Fuse, Hot Wire, and Show Business (another very underrated album). You said on this show that someone on X mentioned Kix never put out a bad song, and it's amazing how true that is. For releasing their 1st album in 1981, they never received the accolades they deserved. I've often wondered if it had to do with naming the band the same name as a kids' cereal.
Yeah, that name did them no favors at all. And, okay, based on your glowing review, I will definitely give Rock Your Face Off another spin... appreciate it, Brother
@@HairMetalGuru419 By the way, you were right about Funny Money. They put out 4 albums (Funny Money [1998], Back Again [1999], Skin to Skin [2003], and Stick It! [2006]). Hopper didn't know better ;)
It wasn’t big in ND, but it was huge in the everywhere else. It broke the band on MTV. Easily their most played single outside of Don’t Close Your Eyes. If Guru had cable back in the day he would know this…lmao….love the Guru 🎸
For me, and I was a hard rock hungry teen in that era, I never went for Kix because I thought the singer had zero charisma and a really nasal voice. And because the name of the band just made me think of the cereal brand.
Hey, thanks for constructive criticism, Clark. I decided to go to your channel so I could learn from a pro how to make kickass videos, and guess what? You've been on RUclips for 4 years and haven't done shit, Fruitcup. Take it easy, Slapdick.

Solo many great songs from a great band
Believe it or not, Kix got radio airplay on DC101 (Washington D.C. Rock radio station) for the song "The Itch". All of the time!
Damn. That's cool
Kix always delivered live. One of my favorite shows ever was Kix at Limelight in NYC back in … 92 I think .
