    CAPCUT is owned by ByteDance, which is owned by TikTok, and was released on April 10, 2020. As of March 2023, CapCut had more than 200 million active users each month. In March of 2023, it was also downloaded more than Tiktok. It was also the second most downloaded Chinese App behind Temu in March of 2023. FILMORA WONDERSHARE had a major Interface overhaul with Filmora 11 in February of 2022, and took off in March. Version 12 came out around December of 2022, and Version 13 came out around October of 2023. Filmora lost some ground with a licensing fiasco and now has just over 100 million users. They are are both Chinese owned companies.

    I heard all the CapCut music & sounds were only allowed to be used for TikTok not RUclips

      Thanks for your comment. That makes sense because ByteDance owns them both (Tiktok and CapCut).

    I used Filmora 13, it was too laggy and had lots of bugs, then I switched to Capcut Pro, it was very smooth

      Fayz, that's great, and the interfaces are so similar that the transition is seamless. CapCut will run on almost any system - new or old, and I love that. I also use CapCut online vs Canva now. Do you use that, too? Thanks for watching and enjoy you Fishing Adventures. 🐟🐡 - Ron

      Looks like I'll be using capcut as my main editor until filmora fixes the program

      @@FayzFishingAdventure I honestly like them both, because they are the same BUT different in how\how they offer things. Thank you for taking time out of your day to comment. I really appreciate it! Have a GREAT day! Thanks again, Ron

      I tried using the free capcut but it keeps crashing on me.

      @@jimb3093 That's strange. CapCut runs on my old laptop with my Intel chip. I do have an Nvidia chip as well, but did not use it for this lesson to showcase that point. How much Memory do you have?

      They are SO similar, but I love Filmora because of it's ease of use to be honest. They are featured-packed. However, CapCut has a free version, so...LOL. I honestly prefer Filmora over CapCut, but I like them both. With that said, Enjoy life in Asia. I retired this year and the wife and I are selling everything and moving onward as well. Be well and live well, sir. Thank you for your comment. - ROn

    this was jarring when I first opened capcut since ive already been using Filmora. Are they owned by the same company or did capcut just copy filmora?

    • @Madskillsuniversity
      @Madskillsuniversity  8 месяцев назад

      Great question! Me too. I was an FCC for Filmora up until 12. CapcCut is owned by ByteDance, a division of TikTok and was released on April 10, 2020. They have over 200 million users.
      Filmora's interface had a major overhaul in February of 2022 with the launch of Filmora 11. Filmora 12 launched in December, and 13 in 2023....They have over 100 million users. I am surprised too. LOL. They are both Chinese Companies.

      Ironically, I did a video comparing CapCut online to Canva, and they were very similar as well. I get an email. Next thing I knew, CapCut changed their interface, so I took it down. LOL

      BTW, tomorrow, I will start putting up converted videos that I did int Filmora to CapCut, starting with my wedding video. I completed it today and will edit it and upload it tomorrow. If you see anything that you want converted, let me know. In Davinci or Filmora. I still post-edit all my videos with Filmora 13.

    no wonder filmora is also a chinese company. they both can potentially get banned.

    • @Madskillsuniversity
      @Madskillsuniversity  3 месяца назад

      Possibly, but I do not see that happening - at least for now. They are only focused on Tiktok at the moment. That said, banning them is easier said than done. Great comment. Thanks.
