LOL...even when you make a mistake, your modesty and wit carry the day. Every time I watch another one of your videos, I want to race out and get the model you've reviewed and play. Sadly, I remember it won't be you flying. Another homerun Adam!
This is the most capable stunt plane ever, regardless of scale. I have over 100 flights on mine, still flies like it did right out of the box even after many repairs.
Yyou Sir are firing on all cylinders and killing it with new content.......Just wen I'm thinking its going to be hard to beat your last video you......and.....U NAIL IT!!.... with best UMX flying ever.......reach back into my past with Byron Origionals engine tech.........and the ultimate RUclips content idea of all time.....!!!! YES!!!!.... I can't wait for the Mirror UMX Pitts.....TY for posting and all you do ...Lee
Holy smokes brother, that was simply awesome! Seriously; it's not too often in the hobby (or even the world in general) that someone would show their humility, swallow the pride, and then turn right around and use it as a moment to teach others to know when to say when! Kudos to you and Heidi for bringing us to the field with you and also for your super cool idea to do the whole inverted landing thing! Can't wait to see that, although I suspect you'll nail the landing. Looking forward to part deux!
Adam. I don’t know why I hold out on this one. Might just have to pick it up. Love the UMX Timber X. It’s weathered and beat on repaired and weathered, beat on , repaired. Not because I’m a bad pilot but that’s what you do when you having too much fun😁. Still going like the Energizer Bunny. 👍😎
Yep! Such a great lil Pitts. This V1 is my second. Here's a story for you...I nuked the first one trying to knife edge it through the open windows of a pick up. Pitts went in...parts came out!
Thank you my friend! Yeah, that dude was brave, and talented! Not sure its going to work with the model, but I'm sure we're gonna try to negotiate that obstacle...Ooo Rah!
On the newer umx pitts I put the control linkages to the furthest out hole to give max deflection and after that I found that the pitts LOVES to do upright harriers.
The whole video especially the crash sequence was done with so much grace and elegance. I have a first gen umx pitts still in the box because it was too pretty to be flown ungyro’ed (by myself😅). But now I really wanna get one of these new ones! First time I have heard of inverted landings. That sounds amazing! Looking forward to part two.
Loved it Adam! We have all ran out of battery power…. I think i am running low right now🥵😅😝 Well done & i look fwd to part 2. Ps was the one that crashed a different version to the latest umx. Here is another for part 3…. Fix the umx on a 1400 with a release mechanism & fly it off the larger one in flight ( with the help of another pilot) Now that should give you a million views. Have a great day mate.
Thank you Noel! This one is the original 2s only version. Part 2 should be fun! Hmm...use the 1400 as a mother ship? Interesting. I know I don't want to scuff my 1400...lol. BUT...that general idea could happen with something...
Oochie! I winced when your Pitts crashed, Adam. I managed to remove all wings bar the lower port side when I smooshed mine up. All repaired a long time ago and flying nicely. No plans for a pushme-pullyou, upsy-downsy mod for mine 😇 What truly impressed me throughout this video was the total smoothness of your flying with this tiny little bug. Awesome! Can't wait for the follow-up episode. Does Bubba know what you did to the Pitts? 😂 😂😂
Yes ma'am that was kinda stupid on my part! You know what they say...make lemonade out of lemons! I'm not sure how the inverted landing will work out, but I'm sure I'm gonna to try it...Lol! Bubba doesn't know yet...
Yep a valuable lesson learnt!! We all push our planes just a little bit to much some times!! And like you said get stung Lol I can't believe that you fly a UMX Pitts so scale like!! Truly inspiring Adam and as always great filming and editing by Heidi, looking forward to part 2 😀👍
Great video Adam, every cloud has a silver lining, the new video is going to be a hoot 😁👍 Just remembered my old flying instructor landed his full scale plane on the roof of a mini, that would make an interesting video as well 😁
I am and always have been a huge fan of the pitts. It was a ton a fun watching you put it through its paces. The problem with having fun is lvc lol. Really looking forward to you trying to recreate the airshow inverted landing and takeoff! Fun video Adam!
Yes sir David, love the Pitts and Christen Eagles. Amazing how well the UMX actually flies. Not sure if the inverted landing will work, but we're gonna try!
Very nice flying with the 2s version, I have never flown that one, don't even think I have ever seen one in person, it was another i wanted but never got. just way way to many airplanes these days to choose from and only so much $ to spend and places to store them.. Seems like i keep having planes follow me home lately, Not a bad thing, but do have to make more room for them all. Look forward to the pat 2 video.. its nice to be able to watch your videos again.
Where's Bubba? Bubba talk some since into this man. JK Adam, I remember the upside down landing Pitts way back when, some people think outside the box, someone forgot to tell him there was a box. Great part one, can't wait for part two.
This is the prop, spinner sold separately. Both in stock at Horizon Hobby. It will hover, but not much else 3D. www.avantlink.com/click.php?tt=cl&merchant_id=953aec29-878e-4306-b620-2df85883455e&website_id=8dba204c-b65e-4b7f-95c3-89346f512d7c&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.horizonhobby.com%2Fhttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.horizonhobby.com%2Fproduct%2F5.3-x-3.5-propeller-umx-pitts-s1s%2FEFLUP113589.html
@@ModelAV8RChannel thank you! Just what I was looking for. I had a 3D plane before and I just couldn’t control it. Thanks for the link as well! Cheers ❤️
Love the full size vid you linked to and can't wait to see the UMX equivalent in action! I notice the extra gear was well clear of the top surface, on struts, prsumably to get the right angle of attack given the tailwheel position. Will you be doing the same?
Yeah that guy was impressive! I'm doing the mod this week on the V1. My plan is to try to duplicate that if possible. I have a few ideas, but the trick is to not add much weight yet make it strong enough to withstand landings. There isn't much extra power or wiggle room on such a tiny airframe. Not sure how it will fly really. I hope I can get some angle of attack inverted after the mod. The extra weight and drag may have a significant affect.
Thanks for sharing the crash with us. I always wonder how many get edited out. Rule number one, don't do aerobatics over a hard surface. Thanks for reminding me of that.
Well Dave that kind of crash is going to tear stuff up no matter what its over. Rule number one should be when the battery is drained and its time to land...don't take off and do one more hover...Lol.
Remote ID will only allow flying at club fields? Won't the remote ID work to identify and locate a plane regardless of whether flying at a club, park, or parking lot? I've heard of drone incidents with full scale aircraft, but never with model airplanes, seems like focus should be on drones, not planes flown safely by AMA members at parks etc. Thanks for sharing! The last of what I need for Cub painting is coming tomorrow...! 😎
Oh poop, well I have had that feeling twice recently. Was a pro flight of a great looking Pitt’s. All sizes look great, will have to get one, one day. Great video Adam and defiantly looking forward to the Pitt’s landing inverted 🫡

This is the most capable stunt plane ever, regardless of scale. I have over 100 flights on mine, still flies like it did right out of the box even after many repairs.
It is a very good UMX, and very capable, but the most capable stunt plane ever regardless of scale is a bit of an overreach, Lol.
I still have the original one, that thing is rock solid flyer!!
YES! They fly sooooo good.
Good video, enjoyed the flight footage. The final message was very clear. 👍
Thanks very much!

Hey John thanks buddy! Can't help people if I'm not humble so...
Yes sir! Part two will be a hoot. Might even work, but I dunno.

Is there somewhere I can buy an extra pop for this plane? The spinner and propeller together? Also, one more question, is this plane 3d?
