Part of it was Twitch being lousy at handling rules.
They changed the rules on the last minute, so Doki had to withdraw, but xQc and Shroud ignored the rule change completely.
They have stacked teams overall, but Doki's team completely destroyed both teams.

I think for me its the, almsot carrot on a stick of "IF we get to 1mil donations, I MIGHT put an org together for an Esports scene that doesnt exist yet (we all know its coming but still) and here are some random names to hype up the idea even more!" that rubs me the wrong way. It'd be one thing if he said "We WILL be making an org for the scene if we reach our goal, knowing the risks/costs of doing so and doing it anyways"

The thing I love about this game is that it has crossplay disabled for console players who aren't interested in dealing with PC players and their inherent advantages. As long as that works properly, i dont care if i need to wait 5 mins for a game to load. I'll make that concession to avoid PC players.

Didn't know he was good at this game, maybe just the team but looking at the tournament I'm surprised "Team Shroud" got 3rd (out of 12 teams) and also they were the only team that even came close to actually beating the winning team. They went 2-3 against the champions, but the team in 2nd (xQc's team) only went 1-3 and the other teams that fought the champions did not take a match off them.
I think he just gets excited easily and then acts accordingly. I'm like that too. I get excited and think that the game I'm currently playing is the best thing and THE game, only drop it after couple of weeks. It's nothing serious, just how some people are.

Sad truth is Marvel Rivals would make a terrible esport. Like Overwatch, the pace of action and viewing angles are very playable individually but very unwatchable from a team-wide storytelling perspective.

The moment momentum starts to die down for rivals and something else is more popular at the moment, you can bet the house that Shroud will abandon it for the shiny new thing. He's so shameless in the way he bounces from game to game. I understand part of streaming is to stay relevant and part of staying relevant can be by playing what's popular but there's plenty of more popular streamers now that don't do that. They build communities and put out great content out by being good AND having a good personality. If shrouds aim wasn't as good as it is I'd be willing to bet he'd have close to a dead stream by now because his personality is as dull and shifty as you can get.

If you're going to make another marvel rivals video, cover everyone having GPU crashes and BSOD and how such a big company like NetEase is allowed to release a game that might be destroying people's PCs and whether they're gonna fix it rather than talking about stuff like this.
Rivals is fun and I enjoy it. But as of now? It is VERY unpolished. Revisiting Overwatch 2 confirmed that. Rivals needs to be more polished before the esport starts making moves.
