Ok, Here it is ! After just watching another reactor only a few minutes ago, I gotta say your channel is the best for me. The previous guy yak yak yak for 10 minutes before starting video. All about himself.👎 You my friend are straight to business. The performance being appreciated for what it is with a calm and precise voice. No cussing, no over the top fake statements, just your honest comments. This is an awesome video. So thank you brother for keeping it real.👏👏✌️✌️.
Agreed sir... not a fan of reactors talking about random crap and not the music; or having an insanely high fake amount of energy. That is why this channel is one of my favs 🤘
I echo your comments. The same reasons I’ve come to like Cheezy. I also like that you rewind a bit after pausing. I’d love to hear the Ayu piece live so I could see the bassist play some of those lines. Along with Hal-Ca, MIYU the bassist is one of the best I’ve seen and his older brother MIO is no slouch on the drums. If you like progressive rock instrumentals have you checked out D-Drive?
Well now you've seen the elephant. Hal-Ca from Asterism is one of those once in a generation prodigies that leave us all dumbfounded by their nascent genius. She was just sixteen years old when they recorded this piece. Give her another ten to twenty years and there won't be another guitarist on the planet to touch her.
Both are phenomenal guitarists. "Dawn" is one of thoae rare tracks that's so damn good it brings tears to my eyes. Asterism has a boatload of awesome tunes, so ya can't go wrong. A couple of personal favs are "Church" live in studio and "Rising Moon" mv. Thanks man, great reaction!
Ayu loves John Petrucci and Joe Satriani and has done many covers of many greats including Yngwie Malmsteen. Haruka is a speed demon and she kills it every time. I got to see Asterism back in 2019 at the SXSW music festival in Austin
In the summer of 1979, a month or so after graduating high school, I was fortunate to see Van Halen perform in my hometown. I was no more than 20 feet from the stage. I can still vividly remember a 24 year old Eddie Van Halen play Eruption near the end of the show. When I first saw this video of Hal-Ca playing guitar I was immediately transported back to that summer night. The only difference is that I had listened to Van Halen's first album on 8-track (yes, 8-track) countless times prior to the concert. When I first saw this video, I had no idea I was going to be treated to an instrumental masterpiece and one of the best live guitar performances I have ever seen.
Yeah 8 track. I listened to Hendrix who I had the absolute gift of seeing Live twice, on my track hitting the button so often just to repeat a song. Here a small club, lousy sound and a masterpiece performance. Jimi would of killed to have a bassist with Miyu level skill. These kids are even better right now than Cream was in there day and they will only get better. Those instruments SING better than any vocalist you want to add to this band.
Ayu was a new one for me - very talented and one I'll be diving into deeper. I love Asterism - again, so young and yet so talented. They are an instrumental only band. Try some stuff from their In Studio session - Church, for example, ruclips.net/video/pkiKSBX8JPA/видео.html - which are all close-up with HQ audio and visuals.
This whole band is otherworldly good, you won't find a better instruMETAL band out there. Haruka was just 16 yo when this was recorded. Next definitely "Church", live in studio. But also "Light in the darkness" or "Gunfire".
Both Hal-ca (Haruka) and Miyu (the bassist) turned 20 last year both being born in 2002, the drummer Mio (Miyu's older brother) turned 23 (born in 1999). Miyu was already 17 in this video (he was born in March), Haruka 16 and Mio 19. They have a couple of songs with vocals (both Haruka and Miyu do vocals in those), but they are mainly an instrumental band and are a close second just behind Band-Maid as my favourite Japanese band goes. I am really curious where they will go. The bass is indeed a 7-string custom bass made by ESP for Miyu. Haruka signed a contract with ESP as well last year, so she has now access to a couple of new guitars instead of her old Yamaha she was using in most videos I have seen. They moved to Tokyo last year coming originally from the Fukuoka prefecture where they grew up. I am sure they will have way more opportunity to play and grow in Tokyo. Let's hope they can find a way to get more people to enjoy this amazing band.
The talent that the 3 stars of Asterism combine is unbelievable. Each of them a force of nature on their instrument. For me it's a closed book why they have been releasing their music and videos for so long already and why only so few out there have these exceptional musicians on their radar. Especially since many of their songs so far are not just thrown together pieces, but can be considered masterpieces or modern classical music. Their track 'Church' is another very nice example of this. ✨🤘🏻 _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Nowadays we have more and more good guitarists, playing fast and complex scale , but guitarist who playing with emotion became more and more rare, Hal-Ca is one that rare guitarist, she is such a treasure. her bending, her notes choose can literally make me crying.
Jesus Christ i haven't heard a solo that beautiful and that fast in years. I like how I could feel the emotion through that guitar from Asterism . Thankx Cheesy and thank you Patreons!
In this video, the guitarist was 16 years old, the bassist was 16-17 years old, and the drummer was 19 years old. And they don’t need a second guitarist, because miyu (bass) most often uses a 7 string bass. Not only the low frequency, but he also did the rhythm guitar part as well, and had some incredible bass solos on some of the songs, and his ability wasn't really brought out on this one, he's one of my favorite bassist. Hal-ca(guitar) is my favorite guitarist so far, she not only has all the skills, amazing speed, but also emotion, she is already a top level guitarist, and she is only 20 years old now. Back to this video, This is a fan cam, although the sound quality is not good, but it also represents 0% post production, their live performance is amazingly stable. I recommend《church》and《stars》both live in studio version🤘🏻
Check out LoveBites' new bassist Fami cover of "Alien Alien". Remember to pick your jaw off the floor when you leave the room. Btw, she's only 20 yrs old!
Ayu has written several songs about the destruction of the planet. She has done dozens of covers of major stars too. Amongst the cleanest playing and emotional young rock guitarists around.
Asterism's most recent album is all covers of anime songs (great, but not my favorite). ALL of their original songs are phenomenal. Church, Museum of Death, Day 26, Light in the Darkness, 155 are some of my favorites.
My comment here is on Asterism: Congratulations on finding the best new power trio since (in my opinion) Cream. They are an instrumental power trio from Fukuoka, Japan. They consist of: Haruka Noma, guitars (“HAL-CA”) Miyu Yoshinaka, bass Mio Yoshinaka, drums They were formed in 2014 when Noma was 11 and the brothers were 12 and 14 respectively. They were all playing at a talent fair for young musicians in their hometown, when one of the music scouts noticed them, had a hunch and suggested they play together. Most of their current youtube catalogue is fan-made live video footage, much of it at the Hard Rock Café in Fukuoka. There are also a few clips from their one tour in the U.S., when they played Austin and Los Angeles. From the start, they have written most of their own music, covering a wide range of styles. The brothers bring a lot of jazz and funk ideas into their playing. Miyu plays 4,5 and 7-string basses, which are co-lead instruments in his hands. They are all phenomenal talents, but the big draw has been Noma, known by her first name Haruka or by her stage name Hal-Ca. She has been likened to a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, with bits of Joe Satriani, Nuno Bettencourt and Akira Takasaki, among others, thrown in. Even in the Japanese scene, with its overload of extraordinarily technical instrumentalists, she stands out. She also writes most of the band’s music. Perhaps it's this video and that she is just standing without expression. Similar to when I watched Tina S play. Technically tremendous but hard to be engaged. Asterism and Haruka. Holy hell! You can't not be engaged with the way she plays and pulls you into her performance. The trio plays so well together! Good lord! She is on her way to greatness.
If you liked Asterism I'd recommend you try " RISING MOON " - ruclips.net/video/BKbxEEYezZc/видео.html and " CHURCH " - ruclips.net/video/pkiKSBX8JPA/видео.html for starters BTW yet another great Guitarist is Tina S and I'd start with her cover of Dragon Force's " Through Fire and Flames " - ruclips.net/video/XpASSx0ecTU/видео.html ENJOY !
Oh, right, you heard HAL-CAL she a real power ball. You need to listen to LI-SA-X she my favorite young guitarist from Japan she has soul like Eric Clapton and BB King nothing but pure guitar You don't hear young people in America putting out sound like this. The talent in Japa is unbelievable, and you have just nip the ice berg brother. Also, I agree with an earlier comment : Don't waste our time building yourself up, just giving us a great reation what could be better.
Unfortunately Ayu hasn't done many live shows. Partly because she is so young and Partly because right when she was getting old enough to do more covid hit and there were no live shows happening in Indonesia where she is from. Several of her song she had Derek Sherinian from Dream Theater play the keyboards so she has the support she needs to the distance if she chooses to walk that path. She does lots of cover videos but she really shines on song she composes herself.
Well Hal-Ca is 16 here and Miyu/bassist is 17 ! He is playing a custom made 7 string from ESP ( one of a kind for him alone at 17!!). This trio is as talented as Cream (1966-68) and likely will be better before they are done. So glad to see someone appreciate music not wine about no vocalist. These artists make their instruments sing if you only listen. Great reaction as always now I have to check out the other player more. BTW Asterism has been together since she was 11 but she only started playing the guitar at 10, so this is her after 5+ years!
nice.. but its the typical shredding. to me, if they can do somthing like Eric johnson or Joe Bonamassa's style will be interesting, instead of this kinda typical major minor pentatonic scales. in terms of performance here is good.
Hal-Ca is insanely good. Insanely. Outstanding guitarist. I'm all for her. Gusfanz is very technical. But she has a refined sound. Empty, unlike Hal-Ca, who puts a lot of emotion and passion into every note. Her solo is a song of the soul. Gusfanz, on the other hand, is refined and harsh. But I like her a lot too.
Ok, Here it is ! After just watching another reactor only a few minutes ago, I gotta say your channel is the best for me. The previous guy yak yak yak for 10 minutes before starting video. Hai kak sehat sehat selalu, selamat sante dgr musik ALIP
Ayu reminds me of Erick Johnson.
yamaha pacifica 611.. pickups look changed.. i know nothing about guitars.. but goddam it sounds awesome!!
The score for Ayu’s tune must be one black sheet of paper.
For a new aspect of Asterism: Try "Church" (ruclips.net/video/pkiKSBX8JPA/видео.html) or the opposite the "Unravel" cover ft. Pellek
ハルカ最高ですよね!
Oh how good was Old Mate on his 400 string bass there ?? 😎😎
nice.. but its the typical shredding. to me, if they can do somthing like Eric johnson or Joe Bonamassa's style will be interesting, instead of this kinda typical major minor pentatonic scales. in terms of performance here is good.
I see you finally met Hal-Ca. Yeah, she's a prodigy.
You want more Asterism? Here ya go: ruclips.net/video/JZXNSZAYiI8/видео.html

🤟🤟🤟
Hal-Ca is insanely good. Insanely. Outstanding guitarist. I'm all for her.
Gusfanz is very technical. But she has a refined sound. Empty, unlike Hal-Ca, who puts a lot of emotion and passion into every note. Her solo is a song of the soul. Gusfanz, on the other hand, is refined and harsh. But I like her a lot too.
please check @Abim Finger young guitarist from Indonesia too
