Underrated tune from a criminally underrated album. I love standing on the shoulder of giants as much as the first two albums, sure it might not have its own wonderwall or don't look back in anger, but it still has some classics like go let it out, gas panic, where did it all go wrong, Sunday morning call (even though Noel hates it, it's still brilliant) and Roll it over. Probably missed a few out as well. Class album as far as I am concerned.
Agree. I remember the gigs at wembley that went along with that album, and songs like Gas Panic and Who Feels Love sounded amazing. Proper heavy stuff - and then came familiar to millions, of course with those tunes on. I love SOTSOG and still play it to this day.
He keeps improving by time goes by even now he sounds superb , if you listen to him singing in 94/95 he didn't know how to he sang the wrong notes in a lot of live performances.
Yea he's full of shit... he does care. His songs prove it . He can't come out and be vulnerable after a making a character that's a knuckle head for all these years.
"Do you keep the receipts, for the friends that you buy?" Brilliant writing - period. This is also when Noel really emerged as a good singer in his own right.
Have to say this has to be one of their forgotten gems - its up there with the finest, although the band seems to have forgotten. Is it me or is SOTSOG very underrated anyway?
You can be a fan but maybe lapsed during this era... Heathen Chemistry and SOTSOG aren't exactly the biggest records they've made. They could have been massive fans of the first 3, fell off and got sucked back in with DBTT
Easily one of my favourite Noel performances, been watching it for years and I still come back to it, he'd never admit it but he's a very talented singer as well as a songwriting genius
borskilad are you kidding me? If you know anything about Noel, he'd be the absolute first person to tell you he is the greatest songwriter ever. And he'd be right. Cuz there is only one God. Noel Gallagher. And he knows it:)
Beta Call yeah true about the songwriting but he wouldn't admit to being a great singer, I think he's as good as Liam and actually sings with more emotion.
I mean -- this is all Noel. And we still have Noel solo. Hearing Liam sing Noel's new beautiful melodies is something we won't see again. But Liam et al is coming up with some great stuff anyway -- the melody on World's Not Set In Stone is right up there
"Where Did It All Go Wrong?" You know that feeling you get You feel you're older than time You ain't exactly sure If you've been away a while Do you keep the receipts For the friends that you buy And ain't it bittersweet You were only just getting by But I hope you know That it won't let go It sticks around with you until the day you die And I hope you know that it's touch and go I hope the tears don't stain the world that waits outside Where did it all go wrong? And until you've repaid The dreams you bought for your lies You'll be cast away Alone under the stormy skies But I hope you know That it won't let go It sticks around with you until the day you die And I hope you know that it's touch and go I hope the tears don't stain the world that waits outside Where did it all go wrong?
ANOTHER excellent song by Noel. I think that Oasis have so many wonderful songs (by Noel and Liam both) that don't get the appreciation they deserve. Some of my favourites: *All around the world* (Noel demo and Liam early recording) *D'yer wanna be a spaceman* - I just love the lyrics in this song - Liam did a recent really good version - and of course, Noel sings it well too *Idlers dream* - one of my very favourite songs of all time, so beautiful *I'm outta time* - I love this song by Liam, I think he is an under-rated songwriter *The Importance of being idle* *Let there be love* *Live Forever* (acoustic version with Liam, Noel and Bonehead - the emotion in Liams' voice always makes me cry AND the version sung by Noel on the Late Late Show in Ireland (1996) just tears my heart out. *Talk tonight* -acoustic - Noel really can sing very sexy :) *Sad Song* - both Noel version and Liam versions are equally good *She's electric* - Noels' demo and Liams' album version - just a great tune *Up in the sky* - Liam and Noel are both good - but I slightly prefer Noels' version *Go let it out* *Who feels love* - Noel does a terrific MTV version in 2000 - but I prefer the album version by Liam *Champagne Supernova* - Liam in the acoustic version is the best (IMO) *Don't look back in anger* (acoustic: the first time played - no "At least not today" at the end, the 2009 Riverplate stadium - very emotional Noel was so sweet to watch: Knebworth - LOVE this version: Maine Road - great version: this version (love the ending) ruclips.net/video/_vqNdVycsl0/видео.html&list=PLFJg81CWuB7Uw_E3qdw2xlUQdpFK52Mk9&index=33 and this one: ruclips.net/video/PG53tflXm2k/видео.html *Slide away* - both the album (Liam/Noel) version and Noels' acoustic as sexy af and *Stand by me* - Liam, Noel & Alan White - by the pool and Noels' acoustic version - another song that I get all emotional over.
This has got to be one of the most amazing lyrical songs Noel’s written along with so many others but this is so underrated & underplayed! Not by me I absolutely love this song & it gets me everytime. Another Masterpiece. ✌️✊✌️
He's Just Rocked The Stage.........Then He Nonchalantly Takes A Pew And Blows This Chilling Breeze Across The Electrified Crowd With An Acoustic And A Truly Haunting Vocal Of 'Where Did It All Go Wrong?'...........Blood And Guts Stuff....Proper Good And Honest.
SOTSOG is a classic album. One of the best if the period, easy. Maybe not in the all time rock albums, which their first two were. But it’s a fine album with some standout tunes.
Gas Panic and Who feels love are right up there with those tracks, that's why I love this album so much. I also loved Little James which is unpopular but I loved what it meant to Liam about his stepson
So many memories from a time when life was more free. I was just starting my hell raising days but Noel sounded like he was just finishing his. It always seems oasis have been constant In my life. When I left school they had just come out. Weird how you you associate your life to things like songs. Good times. Shame my kids will never have anything like oasis. They where definitely the last band to mean something
They lyrics are utter world classic there even is a saying like that in the music industry every word is so true it’s like 4 minutes of true True life We All go through thanks Noel 🎸🇬🇧❤️
Simple but so intricate and complicated at the same time. A sort of musical paradox . Man that's why I love Oasis and the Noel Gallegher. Style it's not so simple when you break down the lyrics but the chords seem somewhat simple but that's the genius of it all these guys have found some sweet chords and groupings of chords just beautiful I think and man I love playing or trying to play some of all that Oasis Music there's so much good music out now but please more!
Underrated tune from a criminally underrated album. It’s an amazing album but I think as a whole the first 3 are better
I bought this album randomly while shopping for a new CD, and fell in love with it. Definitely my top 10
'Little James' being the exception - that song is truly awful! Otherwise I agree it's underrated.
Gas Panic.
That’s prime time Noel Gallagher right there guys..the vocals are just amazing.
And to think he only found out he could sing cos Liam used to walk off stage in the middle of gigs lol
Definitely one of his best.
Exceptional comment sir take a bow 😎 spot on love it
@@michaeluden7131 actually when they were kids Noel used to sing and Liam didn’t
He keeps improving by time goes by even now he sounds superb , if you listen to him singing in 94/95 he didn't know how to he sang the wrong notes in a lot of live performances.
Noel, if you're reading this. You gotta play this live again mate. Stunning.
He aint reading it
Wish he did read it though.
@@YouMeAtSix0123 😂😂😂😂😂😂
For a man who doesn’t pay too much mind to lyrics, he amazes me every time. What a writer. Hits home like few things do
Yea he's full of shit... he does care. His songs prove it . He can't come out and be vulnerable after a making a character that's a knuckle head for all these years.
Legit one of my favorite Noel performances ever, this is so underrated
Remember watching this live and it blew me away back then. Growing up with oasis were Such good times
Such an underrated song, in my opinion its up their with don't look back in anger
I think the acoustic versions are better than the studio version
This song needs to find its way on a HFB’s set list
"Do you keep the receipts, for the friends that you buy?" Brilliant writing - period. This is also when Noel really emerged as a good singer in his own right.
Profound line. He described himself as a songwriter-singer rather than vice versa.
take me away was on the b side to supersonic. I knew he was a beautiful singer on his own right just hearing that in 94
from what I've gleaned from his interviews he's an avid reader of poetry and non-fiction which definitely influences and strengthens his writing.
Have to say this has to be one of their forgotten gems - its up there with the finest, although the band seems to have forgotten. Is it me or is SOTSOG very underrated anyway?
10 years later, not a truer word spoken! This is Gallagher at his very best.
he sings it with so much emotions its so beautiful...i cryed if i heard it the first time
He was living it that's why 😢
what a gifted man
So many 90's Oasis fans relate to this song
lol.
Great tune, but oasis never stopped making great tunes. Don't believe the truth was an elite album
Well said Paul, can relate to this!🎵👏
No shit
That did rehab and survived for sure.
I love this song, one of my favourite Oasis song's. A lot of people I've spoke to have never heard it, but call themselves Oasis fans
edward harris they're not Oasis fans then I'm afraid.
Than their not real fans
You can be a fan but maybe lapsed during this era... Heathen Chemistry and SOTSOG aren't exactly the biggest records they've made. They could have been massive fans of the first 3, fell off and got sucked back in with DBTT
Noel got me in tears by this song.
Sums up 10 years of my life, back on course now though
Easily one of my favourite Noel performances, been watching it for years and I still come back to it, he'd never admit it but he's a very talented singer as well as a songwriting genius

Beta Call yeah true about the songwriting but he wouldn't admit to being a great singer, I think he's as good as Liam and actually sings with more emotion.
Yeah he felt he was "literally dying" on stage at MTV unplugged and yet i favor his voice over liam
@@betacall9634 He meant he wouldn't admit to being a great singer, of course he would say he's the greatest songwriter alive.
Christopher Davies same page.
Should of been recorded like this for the album
All their songs make you just want to sing to every word.not many groups do that to me.talent!
This is the best vocal ever
Hurts deeply to live a life to know that we will never hear banging tunes like this from oasis again.
I mean -- this is all Noel. And we still have Noel solo. Hearing Liam sing Noel's new beautiful melodies is something we won't see again. But Liam et al is coming up with some great stuff anyway -- the melody on World's Not Set In Stone is right up there
Mike Rowe sure can play piano well for not being able to read sheet music... beautiful... this is Noel's best version of this song. perfection.
look at his face!!! there is emotional and everything what he knows what singing about!!! noel is the great musicanv at all the time for me!!

has to be noels best vocal performance ever, underrated song too absolute classic
When you feel older than time! Anyone that has lived a life of excess understands that, great song.
Golden Tash Totally agree
I can never stop loving this version. It makes me cry EVERY time.
Still such a great tune after all these years

Noel will only be appeciated when he's not with us. The guy is a genius
Never seen/heard this version of the song before. Blown away by it
Probably noels best ever vocal performance till the last few years
I remember seeing this the night it was aired.....mezmorizing
Darren Hodgson as do i, taped it, still got the tape, was incredible.
Imagine this version released in 97 and be here now was a mixture of the master plan album songs be here now songs and sotsogiant
An iconic tune from a much maligned album.Great lyric - " do you keep the receipts for the friends that you buy ?"
Fits my life perfectly
Love this one. Noel sounds amazing. One of my favourite songs.

Noel Gallagher raised the bar for songwriters in my opinion. Genius
the song explains my feelings
Top 5 live performances for me, massively underrated song from a massively underrated Album
Pure class.. If you can't connect with this song you ant worth knowing.. Take a bow Mr gallagher.
la voce di questo Uomo ha dell'incredibile
Uma das melhores músicas do Oasis.❤️

My favourite vocal Noel's ever performed. I've been coming back to this video for eleven bloody years now
Me too mate and it still hits as hard now as it did then
This is one of my favorite songs of all time and this version is a Masterpiece
SOTSOG is a classic album. One of the best if the period, easy. Maybe not in the all time rock albums, which their first two were. But it’s a fine album with some standout tunes.
I agree with all the love for this underrated little miracle.
My husband introduced me to this band years ago and this is my favorite song with being my favorite band
Just beautifully haunting ❤
My first time that I listed it was ten years ago and now I am here again. Long life to Noel.
One of his best songs lyrically he killed this
‘’And I hope you know, that it’s touch and go’’ wow (chef’s kiss)
Beautiful song
First time in a long time I’ve had a tear in my eye watching a performance. Incredible
Great version and so underrated ! 😍
Noel is out of this world acoustic!
The best songs on that album are "Where did it all go wrong" and "Sunday morning call"
Gas Panic mate
sunday morning call video always makes me happy
and who feels love
Roll It Over is a tune too.
Gas Panic and Who feels love are right up there with those tracks, that's why I love this album so much. I also loved Little James which is unpopular but I loved what it meant to Liam about his stepson

Still beautiful
Noel's vocals are really up there on this one 👌

Fucking hell so many memories come back when watching this.
I miss this Noel..💔
I recall Noel saying this is one of the worst songs he wrote....difficult to digest!!....it is absolutely amazing.
I guess its hard to look ones self in the mirro
