This is the only time Ryan actually plays along with Michael 😂
Hoo ah
Still testing the waters.
Hahahaha
Well this was his first day, gotta do what you gotta do to get on your boss's good side 😂
Was this show all improv?
"How do you now it was me?"
*Eats Jello
Victory Rocca 😂😂😂😂😂
I think the uk version did this scene better.
Mark Whalley Really? I thought the U.S, it us an opinion though. Both were funny.
Mark Whalley no nigga
Mark Whalley the UK version wasn’t even funny
1:39 I love how pleased Ryan is with himself.
"How do you know it was me?" As he eats Jello.
Kevin Lebby why do people not reply to comments?
Kevin Lebby congrats for getting the joke
It doesn't even make sense though, they are two completely different types of jello.
I wonder how Dwight found out.
The original makes more sense because they are eating jelly cubes which are melted and diluted to make that kind of jelly
WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT PHYLIS LOOKING OVER WHEN MICHAEL SAYS “discipline, kinky”
She likes a little excitement
why is no one noticing there is no accounting section lol...i get the pilot was filmed on an actual location nd then they moved to a set but its so odd to see no accounting in the shot
@John Mateus I thought Toby was
Cuz she’s a huge fan of fifty shades of grey…so not that surprising XD
She listens to 50 shades while at work. That explains a lot.
"That is off-pudding."
TheRealmDrifter you should be off-pudding... cuz ur fat
You should be off the internet for 1 year because of “ur” spelling

"He put my stapler in a meatball again!"
*Stanley laughing in background*
YOU GOT MEATBALLED!
"Are you ready for some MEATBALL?"
Then Jim and Stanley get married by the end of
Jim: **eats jello**
Also jim: how do you know it was me?
Still jim: **continues to eat jello**
What about 'Jim, stop PUDDIN' Dwight's stapler in jello"
get this girl a job in the office!
Can we genuinely make this happen?? cause I would love that
Sophie Downer OK that's great. I guess, uh, what I'm most concerned with is, uh, damage to company property, that's all.
hahaa :')
your face looks like you photoshopped Ryan's face onto a blank model with hair
This is my favorite Office scene. Season 1 is not my favorite, but it does have some of the most iconic and hilarious moments, like this one. Everything just lines up perfectly - Michael trying to be buddies with Ryan, Jim pulling a prank, Dwight getting frustrated at Jim, Pam laughing and Michael making a sexual joke... this is The Office in its most true and funny form and I love it.
Then you'll enjoy the UK version
Back when Ryan still kinda liked Michael.
buxx That changed real fast 😂
I don't think he ever did, he just wasn't a complete jabroni douchebag back then
Lord Leo I disagree he was just a young guy that wanted to advance in the company and knew what he wanted. I can't fault him for that. He became a big douche when he was the boss and so on. He was still my favorite character though.
Gavin Thomas actually, he became a douche in season 3, before the huge promotion (which made no sense). Remember when he was promoted from temp to sales and took Jim's chair? He was really smug about it. And then later when Michael tried to drag everyone to Benihana, Ryan got out of it by using up all the excuses and Jim had to go, and Ryan was really smug about it again. He also shit-talked Dunder Mifflin and its management when announcing Michael as a guest speaker in his class, without Michael knowing.
buxx don't you mean back when Ryan was sane?!?!
My science teacher wouldn’t stop using this as an example of the nucleus in the cell, but he was also the teacher for FCA, so some of the girls who were waiting for him in the classroom actually put his stapler in jello. His reaction was priceless and he kept the stapler like that for the rest of our plant and animal cell unit until the jello melted. He was a pretty cool teacher.😂
Well, are we "pudding" him in his place?
BrandonDime *noice*
Ayyyyyyyy
Jim, I have Muffin else to say to you. Just Donut do it again.
W
Michael would be proud...
anyone else notice that Dwight was much more fun loving and conversational in this bit? Seems like in later episodes if he was being introduced to a new employee he would be much more dominant, (standing, assertive) i love this show so much
"ooh discipline. Kinky!"
*Phyllis turns around scornfully*
Uh oh stinky
@@lancelittleton9802 I think she was intrigued. It was foreshadowing to when she listened to 50 shades on the iPod.
The jello prank will always be a timeless classic in tv history
Dwight: "He put my stuff in Jello again!"
Me: "Again"
I guess Jim put Dwight's personal effects into Jello in an earlier incident off screen.
He did it 3 times apparently.
Pam's laugh is so amazing right here!
I think what Dwight needs is a little wiggle room.
Katrina Rocketman thats what she said

1:37 the moment michael fell in love with ryan
First season is criticised but it’s most realistic. The way they act round the cameras is so good and there ain’t no cheesy stuff like in the rest of the show
Season 2 is the best for me. Season 1 was realistic but it was trying too hard to be the UK version. By season 2 they found their footing.
The first season was literally copied from the original version
The first season is pretty boring and awkward for me , still not as bad as the last few seasons, the only thing funny after that is some of Robert Californias stuff
1:08 that's what she said
RP Gaming can you explain to what the joke mean ?
Nicholas Johnston thanks
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Underrated comment
This deserves 10k likes. Not the repeated qoutes from the video ❤️
„How do you know it was me?“ while agressively eating his jello hahahaha
Realshaun it’s called jelly not jello
Jacob Longman
Listen what Dwight says at 0:36 :) Jello is the most famous brand of jelly, so to speak.
Realshaun I know but it annoys me that jelly gets rebranded as jello. I know really petty but it’s just one of those things for me
It's funnier in the uk version when Tim eats a jello of the same color, which is yellow.
I'm so angry that he didn't say "I'm sorry, I've just always been so JELLOus of you"
Another good one is well Jello from the other side
Michael: oo discipline KiNkyY
Phyllis: _tf_
I don't really find putting someone's stapler in a jello funny, to be honest... Now, if that was a meatball it would have been hilarious :D
Stanley?
Its british humour
Anna Carruthers no he is referring to Stanley
He got meatballed 😂
Do you mean “pudding” someone’s stapler in jello isn’t funny.😂
0:35 the cutest laugh there is :o

@@cherrypepsi2815 What us wrong with you?
Just to show that no matter how good the writing is its nothing without good acting. Note the difference between the uk and us versions.
Bader AlQahtani it's made worse by the fact that this was a direct copy of the UK version. Al.ost like trying to copy some else's acting. It gets better with more original stuff
Rain Wilson deliberately didn’t watch the original Office before doing the American one so he can create his own character and be original.
The acting isn't better, it's different. UK comedy sounds different.
Thing with this scene is it feels faulse. The UK scene you can truly believe they are having some banter with Gareth. This one you can tell they are acting, like overacting. 2 moments back this statement up:
1. Dwight's reaction to the jelly
2. When Michael says "Yes! New guy"
When it comes to Dwight's reaction look how hard he tries to look angry and annoyed. Go and watch the UK version and watch Gareth's reaction.
With Michael saying "Yeah! New guy" come on! When do you ever see someone go "Yeah! New guy"? Compare it to what David Brent says, he laughs and says "He will fit in" That sounds more genuine. The office is not also a comedy it was meant to feel real with the gloomy day, the energy the characters have, even the theme tune. Listen to the UK theme then the US theme. The UK one is slow and dull but it gives it a real life feel, the UK intro is slow shots of an industrial estate and people driving to work. The US one is all upbeat and fast shots of the area. Its gives such a dramatised tone and feel. This is why I prefer the UK version.
snuggle The US version is much much funnier. just accept it lol..This isn't titanic, no one is looking for ground breaking dramatic acting
Pam's giggle when Dwight places the jello on the desk.... CLASSIC!!
Michael breaks character for a split second at "there are starving people in the world..." 0:50
asdf - yeah because he doesn't want to be seen as an idiot laughing at world hunger. That quick transition was gold.
this scene line for line is the same as the UK version
Close, but not quite.
I don't think he was breaking character, I think the joke is that he started cracking up and then stops himself
Not really. other examples where he tries to be serious for terrible things which aren't affecting anything around him would be the walk against rabies, Ed Truck having his cappa detated - nobody takes him seriously so it turns into a full funeral of a small birb, and stanley nearly dying?
Oh hey, he actually brought out a picture of the car with the Jello. Bottom right corner
0:35
"Wow, discipline. kinky!" HAHAHAHA I LOST IT
KarlKraus lol
the UK office is still better
The UK version is GOOD but not even close to the American one.period.
Wonder who wrote that
i havent seen the UK version but I know this scene was originally in the UK version, almost line for line lol
When Pam laughed at this prank I knew she loved Jim and she was my fav character!!!!!!!
1:02 I just noticed that when Michael said kinky, the camera pans to Phyllis. Dunno if it's a foreshadowing to that episode when Phyllis was listening to an audiobook of the Fifty Shades of Gray. 😂😂😂
Such a treasure for humanity.
"Custardy"literally the only time ive ever liked ryan
Did Dwight just say "'Sup?" I need to rewatch season 1
Jakira Kumahata The first two episodes had a very similar format to the British version after those two episodes you can see the change between characters and just the transition from scene to scene. Glad they changed it up.
Can we talk about how cute Pam’s laugh is?
"YOU HAVE TO EAT IT OUT OF THERE"
IM DEAD
0:50 back when Michael respected the camera
I love when Michael says" Hey new guy he scores"😂😂😂😂
Can we appreciate their acting, So well done!!
That moment when Phillis turns back and looks at Michael when he says "kinky"🤣🤣🤣
1:33 that guy just has the face of starting a fire
Jim, you’ve done a lot of things to Dwight over the years, but I really think this one TAKES THE CAKE
Indeed, he’s come a long way from PUDDING stuff into jello.
"Assistant TO THE regional manager"
I haven't heard that in a while maaan...
1:16 Oh come onnnn MICHAEL, "Now is the time to stop *pudding* Dwight's personal effects into jello."
1:29 Dwight’s thousand yard stare at Jim just makes me both question what Dwight was supposed to be thinking and what Rainn Wilson was thinking playing his role.
I feel like this is the start of Michael being obsessed with Ryan
"You have to know when to start, as well as when to stop"
*THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID*
The prank that started a long and hilarious era.
Michael: The thing about a practical joke is you need to know when to start and stop.
Jim 10 years later: THE JOKE NEVER STOPS
0:18 love how Dwight invested in a new engine and transmission only to have the car be worth 3 grand
"Stop PUDDING his stuff in Jello." He made a pun without even knowing it.
0:39 DWIGHT VOICE CRACK!
Still love the BBC version of this prank. Martin Freeman is hilarious!
"You're pudding me in an awkward position Dwight"
Pam's reaction was perfect
I just watched both the US and the UK version of this sketch and being British preferred the UK version but if I was German and didn't speak English I'd probably prefer the German version.
It seems that because there's no language barrier between the US and UK version of the Office we end up debating which is best, unlike the Germans...
... who only have the German version.
I'm German and the US version is better than the UK one. German one is awsome too.
Im, swedish where there is one aswell, it sucks compared to these. US is best though imo
Ant Laud uk version sucks ass
The UK, the original version of this show, is insurmountably the greatest version of the show.
It having so few episodes really helps too, there's no bad episodes it's all gold. The US one has about 30 or more crap episodes.
Gareth's response to the Jello prank was really dry imo
This seems like a good show, I hope it catches on and gets popular soon.
“Discipline Oooh kinky”
Phyllis immediately turns around
Jenna's laugh makes it 10x funnier 😂😂
The Office is a total classic hands down I love this show so much.
The UK or US one?
@@reegant3964 This is on the US one so..
One of my favorite scenes ever
The “oooooh kinky” in the original office is brilliant 🤣
Davidslol wrong
Davidslol I don’t know sorry. Also when I said “wrong” the other day. I was just putting what I think. Not saying your opinion is wrong
Davidslol Arnold Swazanega
JDM Boiii i don’t think it’s him. I haven’t seen the terminator in a while though (that’s where he’s from right) so you may be right
Uk: awkward
Us: my parents woke up to me laughing too loud
Well then your sense of humour is shit.
GogoLemons Dont be like that
I dont remember typing this but yea love the spirit
GogoLemons is the type of guy to say “YUR OPINION IS WRONG”
@asjkiea12 how can we not though? It seems like it's been made for 5 year olds. The delivery, the accent 🤢 it's dreadful.
Pams laugh at 0:35 is addictive
"NNNNNGH!! DAMMIT! JIM! He put my stuff in the jello again!"
Priceless!
The first time I watched that when it was originally on the air I laughed so hard when he said that
This prank was start of something special. Very special indeed
Pam’s laugh at 0:36 is life
Who’s the lady in the back desk ? ( Behind Dwight, not Philips and not Pam, you can only see the hair. She doesn’t seem Angela neither Kate) 00:30
I love love LOVE Michael.
When he said "again" I lost it lmfao
The prank that started all pranks
This was the first scene I’ve even seen from the office and this is what made me watch the whole show lol
The us version of this scene is clear and Exaggarated but the uk version
Is subtle yet precise
The very first prank in the Office. Brings back a lot of memories.
"Discipline! Kinky!" Phylis turns around.
He's "pudding" Dwight's stuff in jello🤣
The clip that started it all!
just watched this in comparison with the british series, the camera work, the delivery, the angles look better here, they have adapted it but clearly improved on top of it too, this is good work
i fell on the floor laughing so hard
Love love love the drawing of Dwight on Jim's screen
This is to funny, I'm dying! Stapler in jello, classic??😂😂
All jokes aside, Dwight restoring a 1978 280Z is cool asf
0:57
Identity theft is not a joke Jim
I watched this after having watched the UK Office and didn't like how they completely lifted some of the same humor from that show to use in this one. Of course, as the show continued it grew on me.
This is pretty much the only part in the show were they almost line for line recreate a scene from the British version.
The scene with Pam being "fired" was also directly copied.
0:44 No no! No! No! Always cracks me up
all i can ever think about when i watch this scene is how even though it's the exact same script, this version is so much more dramatic than the UK one lmao
@Suited Italian I completely agree!
This is the first prank of many. The office is the best show ever!
1:47 Realization
Jim is like a friend and bully at the same time
One of my coworkers just put my stapler in Jello.
This has to be the most iconic scene in this whole show.
