    please tell 'em. The description of the video is so sentimental. Toriola played amazingly well. He TOTALLY deserved the win and as you pointed out, he shut down Saive in Game 5

    @ttclaws55 mind you, he did what most coaches won't do, getting up there to help saive up when he tripped over. that gesture indicates lots more respect than not clapping for a net/ edge point

    Great table tennis match between Jean Michel Saive and Segun Toriola.
    I think that Saive is a terrific player. He was a former number player and he always were his emotions on his sleeves but a great guy. Segun Toriola is a wonderful player too. He is Nigeria's current number one and in my opinion should be in the World's top 50. Toriola is great to watch as well. He has beaten some of the world's top players.

    awesome. Though both players seldom appears on final 8 in major tournament, table tennis games need these kinds of combat that arouse the emotion of the audience.

    look at the description : "I feel soooo sorry for saive, he didn't deserve this". You made it like he got cancer. And yeah he deserved it. Seagun played much better. saive and his exhibition style just don't work on any one . And his manners are of a 5 year old child.

    @masanf to judge their manners to such a disgusting extent with such comparisons makes you look stupid. world class athletes can hit nets and edges very easily if trained to, but if they do so, where's the sportsmanship? if you know racket sports well enough you'd realize that tennis and badminton have these kinds of manners as well. please have a start on learning sportsmanship before judging sportsmen' manners to such extent.

  • @broro100
    @broro100 13 лет назад +1

    @skatejimmy1 no matter what happened, saive didn't win. what determines the "stupidity" of segun for you, race? you shouldn't ever judge sportsmen like such by any means. saive clearly isn't better in this match, if he was, then he would've won.

    Laisse-moi rire, si le jeu de JM ne fonctionne plus, combien de point prendrais-tu contre lui. C'est un des meilleurs joueurs des 20 dernières années. Quant à ses manières d'un enfant de 5 ans, ça c'est du commentaire, bravo. Laisse tomber et va jouer au golf.

    Apologizing for nets and edges is one of the most ridiculous thing about table tennis. It is like a baseball player apologizing for hitting the foul pole on a homerun or apologizing for a ground-rule double or a field goal kicker apologizing for bouncing one of the goal post before it goes through the uprights. The net and the edge are as much a part of the playing surface as the rest of the table and acting as if hitting them is somehow wrong and merits an apology is fucking stupid.

    • @GoranofallTrades
      @GoranofallTrades Год назад +1

      You don't apologize because you did something wrong, you apologize because you didn't do it on purpose and you won a point because of luck and not skill. That's actually one of my favorite parts about table tennis, it shows respect for your opponent.
