I love watching the World Baseball Classic! I have since it was first introduced in 2006 and have watched every tournament. But I have two complaints about it. The main one is about the pitch counts. That the pitcher can't pitch more than a certain number of pitches and also that the pitchers have to have a certain about of days of rest between when they pitched. Just let the pitchers play. The other one is the mercy rule. I have never liked mercy rules in sports. Especially in professional leagues. What is this....an orange slices league.
Since they don’t play a continuous day to day schedule and games can be days apart, you could conceivably pitch your best two or three starters throughout the whole series. This rule makes it where you have to display depth in your rotation rather than every team having to face a dominant ace all the time. For the purposes of a tournament like this, I think its a good rule
@@kng1122 The MLB owners needs to realize that the sport is bigger than just them. Also...you never see clubs refusing to release their players in the World Cup.
We aren’t broadcasting it. Or more fitting we are broadcasting American broadcast on the 400th channel. It’s a little weird. We very much do not have baseball in the uk. Great effort by the British team against a solid lineup of big leaguers.
What a pleasure to watch without the stinking pitch clock!
Great Britain uniform looks like the 1st uniform you created in mlb the show that you dont care about making so you can just play the game.
Bro these RUclips ads are actually crazy. 4 sets of ads on a 10 min video is nuts.
You know, I kinda expected GB to get absolutely murdered. But they weren't half as bad as I expected. Nice work GB
Mostly American Minor leaguers so they aren't bad.
@@Reagles8 against top mlb players? Great
Other than a few exceptions like Waino I think a lot of teams are going to do really well against USA's lackluster pitching squad.
Man, the crowds in all other games were so intense and the one in this game was barely felt lmao y’all gotta step it up as fans
I don't get it to be honest. Is it the ego and expectation that you should win all time since you're the US. This is baseball where anything can happen. But I guess it shows the passion for baseball in other countries is on a whole other level compared to the US.
@@rasiel957 It's not the expectation that you win all the time, it is that you know the US will win and the real games start in the knockout rounds. Trust me, they will be up when they get to those.
It bothers me that there are so many vacant seats in the stands even though the Dream Team of America is playing.
Tickets for the Japan national team are sold out not only for the main game but also for exhibitions.
Are Americans more interested in the NCAA March Madness than the WBC?
Love you Trout! You got this!!
All things considered Great Britain’s hitting and pitching weren’t terrible. It was really just brutal fielding errors.
DR against Venezuela, and USA against the UK... MLB has showed his cards, putting 3 favorite of the top 5 in the same pool.
?
@@u.s.m.n.tconcacafchampions6326 They want to reduce the odds of PR, DR and Venezuela. And increase the odds of Japan and Them. It's stupid cuz USA does not need that. But why you have Venezuela Vs. DR... And USA with the easiest contender. It's easy, they want to start winning, and some of the favorite start losing.

Strong line up but decent bullpen it won't be enough against Japan, Dominican republic or Venezuela. Sorry USA not your year
Overall it was a stunningly good performance by GB
You've just got to love that the team USA players are taking this seriously! I'm very happy about there chances in this tournament.
The total players' salary of USA is about 350 million dollars, which equal to almost 290 million pounds.
The number is equivalent to the total salary of Manchester City and Chelsea in UK's premier league😮
Man shwarber shwarber he’s a beast wish he never left the Red Sox I miss him there with his grand slam in the playoffs lol he’s so fun to watch his bombs are different I swear this guy has the most power in the MLB I mean raw power idc if someone hits 100 home runs they ain’t hitting it as hard and as far as shwarber is he’s prob one of the strongest in the league or maybe his batting technique is just too good
This is what I expected out of the wbc but we still need a couple more pitchers out there. The Bats Showed up this year
I can't imagine Bett's life right now lol, he bowled in the U.S Open and now the World Baseball Classic 😂
It is a pure baseball game.

As a Great Britain fan. I’m really a team Bahamas fan 🇧🇸🇧🇸🇧🇸
I really, really liked the British humor. 👑
We’ll hopefully see a lot of Arenado driving in Goldschmidt like this here this whole season.
4:05 “All the way over pool C” I understood that reference
0:45 “we’re winning away, we’re winning away, how s*** must you be? We’re winning away”
6 of the 9 starters for USA play for the Cardinals and Phillies!
Good game!
UK and US have a very close friendship, but The match between these two countries reminds us of the American Revolutionary War.
What are the chances that Ohtani get to pitch Trout... 😅
Every baseball fan wants to see that match up
pretty small actually. Especially, considering the Angels have him scheduled for opening day 3/24 meaning he won't be able to pitch in the WBC semi-finals or finals but only the quarterfinals.
None, he will pitch at the Quarters, then bat for the Miami games, should they beat Italy

You didn't show that dude Petersen that pitched the 8th for Britain? He was pretty damn untouchable
If you watched the game live you could hear someone yelling schwarbomb right before Schwarber swung. It was kinda weird. I didn’t hear it at all before that. Also I think it was John Smoltz who said at the beginning of Scwarbers at that Schwarber has his eye on the pool in right field. Schwarber almost hit the ball into the pool lol.
The real World Series
As expected, the US pitcher is the only weakness. ⚾🇺🇸
I love Wainwright but is that the best we could do?
I watched it live and Kyles homer was a bomb
Haven’t been this excited about a baseball in a while it’s going to be a great season
It’s because MLB teams don’t want their players get hurt
@@Mark-sj3xb In the group stage out of four days, they get one day off.
@@kng1122 The MLB owners needs to realize that the sport is bigger than just them. Also...you never see clubs refusing to release their players in the World Cup.

Well that wasn't the slaughtering i was expecting. Well done GB .
exactly. it wasn't an absolutely overpowering win by the US, which most people expected, so well done GB indeed.
Great Briton uniforms from 1890.
I’d love to hear what the British broadcast sounds like lol
We aren’t broadcasting it. Or more fitting we are broadcasting American broadcast on the 400th channel.
It’s a little weird. We very much do not have baseball in the uk. Even though the 2,000 fans are massively passionate.
For a British team to be representing it feels like we are stealing a living from Bahamas or tinidad.
Hope for more football chants
“We forgot you were here”, “we’re winning away…”
I’m guessing it would be like most British sports broadcast. Very minimal. More like commentary rather than rapid fire play by play action, which is preferable to me. I’ve never under stood why there’s a need for constant talk on a television broadcast. Just let the action speak for itself
@@Mark-sj3xbit’s tradition, for most part of the history of MLB people would listen in the radio. Back in the day tvs where scarce
