How to service a jockey wheel!

Is your caravan's jockey wheel stiff to wind? If so, it's probably time to pull it apart and regrease the bearing. And it's much easier than you might think!

Most modern jockeys (2022 - all PRC ) have a riveted in handle lug not a roll pin so you'd have to grind the end off the pin and tap it out and be prepared to replace it with a cotter pin or a replacement rivet or long shank bolt of some sort. Tim Fidler

Very handy video, especially as I have the same jockey wheel! My bearing had disintegrated but an easy replace and grease and now all like new.

It's an easy job but worth doing if the jockey wheel is playing up.

Yes, there's a bearing race that was cleaned and degreased.
