    Norm, your video is one grand contribution to the challenge. It was wonderful to again watch the master at work on his railroad and to see that you had added it to the Holiday Box Car Challenge was a thrill! Thank you, Norm, for contributing to the challenge for a second year! You, definitely, did it! Happy New Year! Bill

    Another great weathering job that I’m going to try and copy!😂 Just to add for information’s sake (trying not to be a rivet counter), the SAL B7s were based on the PRR X31 with a few changes/distinctions, mainly being that they are the flush roof style (the Lionel car is the “inset” roof style), the roof construction is of a different pattern, and the lower sill is not smooth and more like the AAR 1937 sill. The Lionel version is still a very close representation to all but the most discerning and of course the weathering job is what we’re all here for! You’re really treating us with two uploads in a week.

      @ that would definitely be a good touch if it were available. There was a nice kit in HO scale but the producer is long defunct and they rarely come up. I also enjoyed you putting it right next to one of the other great round roof boxcars in the train at the end.

    Nice work Norm!! I always
    wondered who is responsible for cleaning out the dunnage
    from freight cars after they're
    unloaded, the current RR moving them or the RR that takes them to be reloaded, as a Trucker I'm responsible for any left over paper, plastic wrap and pieces of broken
    skids, some places I deliver to
    will get it after unloading and
    a few places won't load my
    Trailer until I clean it out, it's
    pretty much the rule for food
    stuff but not so much for me
    as I haul auto parts!!! Great
    video Norm and Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

      @kge420 Месяц назад +1

      @@conrailfan6277 No, the consignee would be charged for the cleaning. One of my first jobs was in warehousing unloading rail cars. If the car was empty but not cleaned it would sometimes not be picked up. Ultimately the RR doesn't want to deliver a dirty car to a customer.
