As a Lebanese I don't understand the language and still I can feel the pain and it touches very deep.
I wouldn't be able to stop the video like she did.
I really can't describe what this arrangement does to me emotionally, how it pulls you through an unknown spectrum of pain and beauty, without any predictable music structure, as if you were pulled blindly through waves but you surrender to it.
    What a master ❤️❤️❤️

These kinda of traditional classical Persian concerts aren't usually for fun. They're just art. Very official art exhibition for those with better taste. Great if you have fun listening to them but they aren't done for fun. Very respectful demeanor and atmosphere is because of that. He has the lyrics in front of him bc it is like an orchestra playing music and everyone has them

As an Iranian, I'm glad you listened to this music. Homayoun Shajarian is the son of Mohammad Reza Shajarian, who is a master of Iranian vocal music. As an Iranian, I may be biased, but there is no one in the world who can sing like Homayoun Shajarian. Traditional Iranian music is based on vocal compositions, and few can sing like him. Homayoun Shajarian is exceptional

Shahjarian is truly the master…..the orchestra is also is singing this song with him…..that’s the beauty of classical Persian music…..the music is singing as well…that’s why everyone is feeling the emotion just as Shahjarian does. The Lyrics are hard to translate as Farsi phrases can not be truly understood unless you speak the language ….and know the culture as well. Wish everyone could understand this beautiful song…..even though just listening to it brings such emotions……

Hello my daughter, by listening to this type of Iranian traditional music, you may realize only half of the beauty of music, the other half is the understanding of poetry, which the singer tries to convey to the audience in the best way. In fact, in this type of Iranian music, music and poetry complement each other. Without poetry, you only understand the sound and harmony of music, and without music, you listen to a piece of poetry in English and without hearing the order, rhyme, melody and message of the poem. So I suggest you understand the poem as much as you can, then listen to it with music. Thank you for taking the time for this kind of music. Good luck.

It’s classical Persian music and bc of that all the band wearing formal and sitting; in other way, that’s the classic artist’s style.
The lyrics originally from one of the Iranian writers / poets from decades ago. He is very technical singer and he is the master of eastern techniques; if somebody understands eastern music so he will amazed by Homayoon’s singing ability and talent. I really liked your reaction video¡ thank you ☺️

He is the Persian top singer of the traditional music. He has the most beautiful voice and top skills performing. He was trained by his father who was also master of performing traditional songs with beautiful poetry. He has modernized and improved singing.
Young and old generation love his music.

@@amirgorji7245 Persian music is so hard to understand for a western person, because of "quarter tones" and "tahri"
But there is a Turk vocal coach who got this the firs second that he heard it, because he had a background for eastern music
I think western music expert should beggin with "persian-pop" music, because it's one part of pop music that they know with persian singing techniques
Frankly I'm quite surprised by how they let it go so simply 😃
I remember when I discovered "Native american" music, I felt like indiana jones discovering new cultures or some treasure 😅

What I find really cool is the fact that after listening to the climax of the song, even without knowing the lyrics, you looked up (9:26) and I can actually see the emotional effect of the lyrics in your eyes, which we can usually see in the eyes of people who understand and know the lyrics. I don't know, it just felt cool to see the effect it has on me on someone who doesn't even know the lyrics (until then). :)

Beautiful reaction to this beautiful song.
As an Iranian my self, you did a great job Nina.
And yes you don't always need to understand the lyrics to connect with a song from the heart.
I sometimes listen to Spanish or French song and love them, even though I don't understand the lyrics.
Beautiful video. You are a joy to watch.
But 99% of the time it is always better to listen to a recorded song rather than a live recorded from a cellphone... they not always record a song as they should.
